Chapter 137

Book:Billionaire's Exclusive Wife Published:2024-5-1

“Yes.” The reporter said, looking at the college girl. “You girl, how can you get the news of the holiday? Mr. Cheney and Mrs. Fischer are clearly not divorced.”
“No, no way.” College student shakes his head. “No way. My mother said it. It can’t be false. Mr. Cheney and Krista did divorce. Krista ran away and left Mr. Cheney with his ex-girlfriend. My mother worked in the Fischer family for more than ten years. This news can’t be false.”
“Can your mother still pass the red book provided by the civil affairs bureau if she is well informed?” A reporter said. “It’s truly, your mother is a strong pit, young girl. It’s unlawful for you to come out and attack others with eggs.”
Several female students who helped were terrified after hearing the reporter.
“You’re killing us, Sophia.” they said, referring to her statement that she had proof and couldn’t make a mistake.
Sophia, a female college student, was shocked.
“Mr. Cheney, the police station has sent someone.” The security department manager said as he knocked on the door.
I raised my eyebrows. “These students are suspected of violently attacking others. You are responsible for obtaining the surveillance video at the door of the company and giving the police evidence.”
Several college students were busy bowing to Krista and me. “Mr. Cheney, I’m sorry, Sophia cried to us today about what happened to her. We really thought that her mother was hurt in the Fischer’s mansion. We came with her because we wanted to uphold justice. We didn’t mean to hurt good people. Please be lenient with us.”
I ignored several students, just asked the reporters with a cold face, “Do you have anything else to ask?”
Another reporter wanted to raise his hand, but Milo said, “Mr. Cheney, in the conference room upstairs, several executives are still waiting for you.”
Several reporters silently put down their hands.
I hook my lips, Milo, just smart.
I said to Milo, “Take some reporters to the hotel cafeteria for dinner, and these students who have committed crimes should be dealt with according to law.”
When I stood up, I helped Krista, who was completely stunned. “Let’s go and take you to my office to wash it.”
She grabbed me.
I looked at her and said, “Do you have something else to say?”
She pulled me aside and said in a voice that only two people could hear, “Except for the one who made trouble, let’s put these college students back. They don’t know, and they come to help for loyalty.”
“You can hurt people if you have loyalty?”
“When I was young, who didn’t have impulse? You know, not everyone has the courage to throw eggs at the door of the Fischer group.”
I gouged out her, and this soft-hearted stupid woman. “If you say so, I have to give them a reward?”
“I just don’t want to make a big deal, give me a face, will you?”
I sank my voice and said to the manager not far away, “Only tell the female classmate who made trouble, and put the rest back.”
I looked at Krista, “Can you go back and wash now? This temperature, if you don’t wash it, it will stink soon.”
I led her to the door. Two policemen were pulling Sophia to the door. Sophia shouted, “Mr. Cheney, forgive me. I didn’t come here to make trouble voluntarily. Someone told me to do it.”
Krista and I stopped at the same time and walked up to Sophia. I asked, “You say someone ordered you?”
“Yes… yes.”
“Your mother didn’t work in the back kitchen of the Fischer’s mansion, Fiona?”
“Yes… My mother is Fiona.”
I don’t bother to smile. “It’s not Fiona who ordered you?”
At such times, if this girl even betrays her mother, it is really hopeless.
Sophia was nervous and said, “No, it’s an uncle.  I got a call from an uncle who told me that if I do this, I can make a huge deal. A reporter will undoubtedly go to the Civil Affairs Bureau at that time to look for documentation of your divorce from Miss Krista. My mother is not framing you as long as your divorce is real, and she does not have to go to jail.”
I hugged, “Oh? Why should I believe you?”
“I have proof.” As she spoke, she took out her mobile phone from her bag and found a number that she spoke to last night.
“It was this uncle who called me. I was confused for a while to save my mother. Mr. Cheney, don’t send me to prison. I don’t want to go to jail. My mother also believed it because she listened to rumors. She didn’t mean it.”
I took my mobile phone and glanced at the number on it, but my eyebrows frowned slightly.
This number…
I returned my mobile phone to Sophia. “This matter has been reported to the police. What will the police do? It is useless for you to discuss with me.”
Say that finish, I hug Krista out of the conference room.
Entering the elevator, Krista turned her head and asked, “Where did you get your marriage certificate? It’s not, you got a fake certificate.”
I turned my head and scoffed, “Is it like a false certificate? The reporters didn’t see it.”
“Is it really fake? When did you do it? Is this for a rainy day? In any case, it appeared in time today, just, what if a reporter went to the civil affairs bureau to investigate? The civil affairs bureau should not disclose our marital status casually, right?”
“Do you think I have the leisure to get false certificates?”
Krista paused. “So?”
“What else do you need so? The reporter has seen that it is not a false certificate. How can you think it is false?”
She looked at me, blinked a few times, and then said, “Is this true?”
The elevator door just opened, and I took the lead in going out.
She hurried to follow and entered my office.
Closing the door, she said eagerly, “You haven’t answered my question yet. Do you mean it is true?”
“What do you think?”
“How is it possible, we have clearly…”
“Divorced?” I interrupted and asked, “When did we leave? How? Tell me.”
She looked at me, half ring only some stupid way, “I, didn’t I sign the divorce agreement?”
I stretched out my hand and poked her head. “Who told you that if you signed a divorce agreement, it would be a divorce? Marriage is a matter for two people, isn’t divorce? If I don’t sign, why should this divorce agreement take effect?”
She exclaimed, “You didn’t sign it? Why?”
