Cheney’s pov
Grandpa saw me and snorted coldly.
Grandma is also raising her eyebrows, “You, really this child, how can you bring people back and not tell us about it? So embarrassing.”
“Knowing embarrassment, did you have to go into the study with grandfather?”
Grandma was displeased and said, “Otherwise, what am I going to say to a person who doesn’t want to stay in my Fischer family? I’m afraid she is unwilling to come here.”
I sighed. “Grandma, I didn’t tell you both about it because I wanted to surprise you and Grandpa. Although I thought that you might be unhappy, I really didn’t expect you both to leave, which made me feel very sad.”
“How dare you be sad?” Grandpa raised his eyebrows. “What a surprise, that’s a shock. Now, there is nothing surprising to me except that you find a woman to give birth to the Fischer family quickly. Especially this Krista, when you said you were going to City H to bring her back, I said, I never wanted to see her again. Who told you to bring her back? If you bring her back, it brings disgrace to yourself. ”
Grandpa said, turning to Grandma and saying, “Hurry up and arrange his marriage to Flora and let that woman go.”
Grandma frowned. “I said, you are not allowed to intervene in the child’s marriage. I am willing to let Cheney find a woman he loves for a lifetime.”
Grandpa’s face flushed with anger. “Doesn’t he love Flora? Didn’t he say he wanted to marry Flora back a few years? I’m not intervening, It’s called fulfillment.”
“You old thing, don’t always talk about your past feelings. If Cheney really wanted to marry Flora, he would have married Flora six years ago.”
“Come on,” I interrupted. “Grandpa, Grandma, Krista is still at the door. Go out first and let’s have dinner together.”
“I won’t go,” Grandpa said without thinking. “I have no appetite when I look at her.”
I looked at Grandma, “What about Grandma? Aren’t you going either?”
Grandpa shouted, “You are not allowed to go either.”
Grandma looked at me and then at Grandpa.
I nodded, “Okay, Okay, you will crowd out Krista together. From today, I will move out with Krista. We won’t hinder your eyes. Was that alright with you?” After saying that, I went to go to the door.
Grandma was busy holding me. “You child, when can’t I say it? I just have some worries and don’t know what to say to that child.”
I calmly said, “As before, just say what you want to say.”
“What you said is simple, and we also…”
Before Grandma finished speaking, there was a knock at the door. “Grandpa, Grandma, I’m Krista. Can I… talk to you?”
I hooked my lips, looked at Grandma, and whispered, “Look, people are sensible and know how to take the initiative to alleviate the embarrassing situation.”
Grandpa snorted, “I don’t want to see her.”
I frowned. “Grandpa, I brought Krista back. Can’t you see what I mean? Can’t you just give me some thin noodles?”
“Your face is not so valuable. I said that if you don’t see it, then you won’t see it.”
He said, looking at Grandma, “Let someone bring me dinner into the study later. If she doesn’t leave, I won’t go out.”
Grandma rolled her eyes. “Okay, then you stay in the house. If you don’t go, I’ll go.”
With that, she went to the door and opened it.
I curved my mouth and smiled. I knew that Grandma loved me the most.
Krista’s pov
I took a step back silently. “Grandma.”
“Krista, you come with me.” The old lady said, went out of the door, and went straight to the door.
I glanced at Cheney by the door, turned and followed Grandma out. I stepped forward and helped Grandma, but she didn’t even move.
When I came to the courtyard, Grandma sat in a chair beside the leisure round table. When I looked up, I saw Cheney coming out.
Grandma pointed to Cheney and said, “Cheney, you go in, you are not needed here, Krista, you sit down.”
I sat down obediently and looked back at Cheney.
Cheney stepped forward and smiled. “I just came to ask you if you would like something to drink.”
“You don’t have to worry about it. Go back. The conversation between Krista and me is a woman-to-woman conversation. You are an interruption here.”
“OK, OK, I will go?” He said, giving me a look, and then turned and returned to the villa.
I looked at Grandma, “Grandma, I want to say sorry to you first.”
Grandma looked at me. “Krista, I can see that you are an innocent child. Why are you so cruel this time? You left without even saying goodbye to us. Do you know how sad it is for me? I think too much about it myself from time to time, whether it is not good enough for you, whether we made you feel wrong in the Fischer family, and to be honest, you let me have the third regret in my life, in my age of 80.”
I feel a little uncomfortable in my heart. “Grandma, I’m really sorry for making you so sad, but I need to leave, not because of you. In my heart, you and Grandpa are the kindest people, especially not just to me.”
Grandma sighed. “I also know that Flora’s existence may be a great threat to you at that time, but didn’t I tell you that Cheney won’t allow that to happen? What is the reason why you wanted to leave so cruelly? Grandma needs a reason.”
I look down, how can I tell grandma about the past?
Grandma asked, “It’s been six years, is it still so difficult to say?”
I looked at her with a loss in my eyes. “Grandma, as you know, Flora had nothing but faith in Cheney, but Cheney was bound by me because of his responsibility to me. If I don’t leave, do you think Flora can still survive?”
Grandma looked distressed, took my hand and patted “How about us, and how about you?”
When I heard Grandma say this, there were tears in my eyes.
I sucked my nose hard and shook my head. “You have nothing to worry about me, Grandma, I still can do a lot of things.”
“All these years, you are alone outside, how do you live? It must be very hard.”
Thinking of Romeo, I shook my head. “No, it’s not hard. I found a designing job I like. I deal with bridges every day and live a full life.”
