Cheney’s POV
Flora smiled at me and said, “That tutor is so beautiful. I like the way she smiles. She is really beautiful.”
I approached her. “Have you had breakfast yet?”
“After waking up, my dad called me to get up and eat at six o’clock in the morning. He said that he especially enjoyed the feeling of calling his children to get up and eat in the morning. I really scared him in recent years.”
I replied, “You must be filial to Uncle Jacob in the future. Over the years, he has really paid a lot for you.”
She looked back, looked at pushing Uncle Jacob and smiled. “Dad, thank you. When I recover, I will be filial to you.”
“Silly child, Dad doesn’t want you to repay. It is Dad’s greatest wish that you can be healthy and enjoy life.”
The father and daughter smiled at each other, and Flora looked back at me. “By the way, Cheney, why are you all dressed like that? Have an appointment waiting?”
I looked down at my sportswear. “I was going to take Afra and her tutor to play golf.”
Flora nodded. “Yes, you’re a good golf player. When I’m ready, will you take me to the golf course? I like watching you play.”
I raised my lips and said nothing.
Beside her, Uncle Jacob stood for a while and said, “Young master, can you take care of Flora for a while? I forgot something and have to go back.”
I nodded and Uncle Jacob turned and went out.
Krista’s POV
Afra and I had just walked a short distance, and behind us came Uncle Jacob’s voice, “Mrs. Fischer, please wait.”
When I heard his voice I turned around.
Uncle Jacob walked up to me and gave me a sincere bow.
“Uncle Jacob, this is…”
“Mrs. Fischer, I really thank you very much just now. Thank you for concealing your identity and for letting you suffer such grievances because of Flora. I am really sorry.”
I stepped forward and helped Uncle Jacob. “Uncle Jacob, it’s okay. I don’t know about Miss Flora. I didn’t take it to heart. You can rest assured.”
“When Flora has recovered, I will definitely bring her to thank you.”
“No, no, no, you don’t have to.”
I waved and smiled shyly. “She would have existed even without me, so don’t think about it, Uncle Jacob, go back and take care of Flora, and I’ll take Afra for a walk.” I continued.
Uncle Jacob nodded and added, “Thank you, Mrs. Fischer.”
I smiled at him, turned and pulled Afra away.
I took Afra to the fake rock by the lake and sat down.
Afra said, “Aunt, why did you lie just now? You are not my tutor at all, you are my aunt.”
I leaned sideways and stroked Afra’s hair with my hand. “Afra, it’s wrong to lie, Aunt knows, but… what Aunt said is a white lie. Aunt wants to make an agreement with you. In front of your Aunt Flora in the future, don’t call me Aunt, call me teacher, Okay?”
Afra shook her head. “I like to call you aunt.”
“When you were very young, your second uncle met Flora. They were originally going to get married. If Aunt Flora wasn’t sick or I didn’t marry your second uncle, then now your second uncle will marry Flora. In that case, you should call her Aunt Flora too.”
Afra seems to understand. “But Grandpa said that the most useless word in the world is if, because there is no if at all.”
I laughed, drooping slightly, my eyes almost equal to Afra’s. “Yes, that’s right. I remember you asked me what’s wrong with vegetative people. In fact, vegetative people, that is, people lie in bed without knowing anything, without consciousness, without feeling, without day and night is very painful, and life is worse than death. Flora, she finally woke up now. The doctor said that she could not be stimulated. She likes your uncle very much. If she knows that your uncle is married, she will be very sad. Maybe, she will fall into a coma again and never wake up again. In this way, it is really no different from killing her. I don’t want to harm others. I hope Flora can recover soon without being stimulated. As long as she has fully recovered, I can tell her that I am your second aunt, but before that, will you keep this secret with me in front of her? ”
Afra nodded and pouted, “Well, okay, but without her, I will still want to call you aunt.”
I pulled the hook with her. “Okay, we have a deal, it’s a deal.”
Rashad’s POV
I was behind, and when I saw them from a distance, I secretly followed them. After listening to their conversation, I leaned sideways against the Stone.
There is no sign in my heart. Doing so, won’t she feel wronged?
I would rather wronged myself than fulfill others. I really didn’t know before that she was such a silly woman.
I turned my head slightly and looked back at her through the cracks in Stone.
Sandwiched between uncle and Flora, it must be very uncomfortable. Didn’t she think about leaving?
Krista’s POV
Afra looked down at her clothes and looked up at me. “Ah, aunt, it’s so annoying. We all agreed to go to the golf course. Now, because of Aunt Flora, can’t we go?”
I thought that Cheney might want to accompany Flora, so I nodded. “I think so.”
“What then? I don’t want to go back to the Plum Court. I want to be with you.”
“Then we’ll stay together, but what better do we do to pass the time?”
Afra followed my example, with her chin in her hands. “What should I do?”
Looking at the big, fat fish swimming around the lake, I looked at Afra and said, “Baby, I already thought of what to do.”
Afra looked at me curiously. “What are we doing?”
I pointed to the lake. “The fish here are fed big and fat. It must be delicious. Let’s fish and see who catches it first. How about eating steamed fish for lunch at noon today?”
Afra clapped her hands and smiled happily. “Okay, good, aunt, as long as I am with you, I am happy to do anything.”
I pinched this cute little face. “Okay, go with Aunt, let’s find fishing hooks.”
I went to the servant and asked for a fishing tackle. I took Afra and sat solemnly beside the rockery where I had just sat.
After most of the morning’s efforts, I successfully caught two goldfish, and Afra caught a smaller fish. After discussion, we decided to release the small fish.
