Chapter 51

Book:Billionaire's Exclusive Wife Published:2024-5-1

Early in the morning, I felt like I had been run over for a long time. At breakfast, Cheney said, “You don’t have to go to the company today, take a few days off and take good care of yourself.”
I gave him a white look. “I wasn’t going to go either. I have something to do.”
He raised his eyebrows. “What is it?”
“Private.” I dropped my eyes and began to eat.
He is unhappy, “Why can’t I know your private affairs? I am your man.”
I looked up at him. “It is too personal.”
He didn’t say anything. After dinner, Cheney went to the company. I went downstairs to drive out, but I saw the driver sitting in the driver’s seat.
The driver said, “Mrs. Fischer, the young master told us that you are not very comfortable today. No matter where you go, you must pick up the car and send it.”
“No, I can drive by myself.”
“The young master said, if we can’t take good care of you, we will be rebuked by him. Mrs. Fischer, please don’t embarrass us, please? Please.”
This Cheney, do you want to be so unreasonable?
I was speechless and got in the car. “Go to the nearby flower shop.”
The driver took me to the flower shop, and I selected some plain flowers and asked the clerk to wrap them up. After that, I returned to the car and said to the driver, “Go to the North Mountain Cemetery.”
“Yes, Mrs. Fischer.”
When we arrived at the cemetery, I got out of the car. I told the driver, “Please wait for me here for a while. I may have to stay here for a short time.”
“All right, Mrs. Fischer.”
I walked to the cemetery, came to my father’s tombstone, and took off my sunglasses. Looking at my father’s photo, I squatted down slowly and put the flowers in front of the tombstone.
I smiled at my father’s photo. “I haven’t been here for a long time. I guess you must miss me very much, right?”
I raised my hand and stroked my father’s face in the photo. “Dad, you see, I am 26 years old, slowly becoming mature and slowly aging, but you will always be what you are at this moment…”
I smiled, put down my hand, sat cross-legged, and leaned against the tombstone. “To be honest, I wanted to bring two bottles of wine to have a drink with you, but after thinking about it, you should not like to see your baby daughter drinking, so forget it.”
I said a lot by myself. Finally, I sighed, “Dad, I said so many words, can’t you respond to me? I talk to myself alone, which is really uncomfortable. I really miss you, dad.”
I looked at the photo on the tombstone. “Do you remember the guardian you told me when I was a child? You said the so-called guardian means that my father married my mother, so my father should guard my mother. Mom and Dad gave birth to me, so Mom and Dad will guard me. When I grow up, I will guard my mother with you…”
I bowed my head and smiled bitterly. “In those days, I promised you. I said that when I grow up, I will definitely protect you and my mother, but… you are gone, my mother is here, and I can’t do it. I want to break my promise. Will you blame me?”
Looking up at Dad’s picture again, “You won’t, will you, Dad?”
After sitting for a while, I was about to leave when my cell phone rang. Seeing that it was my mother, I picked up my mobile phone and put it in my ear. “Hello.”
“Let me ask you if you did what Zaniyah went through yesterday.” Her tone was full of resentment as if I were her enemy, not her daughter.
I smiled. “Of course not.”
“Krista.” She yelled, “do you think if you don’t admit it, I wouldn’t know? This matter must have something to do with you, Krista, my daughter, what’s wrong with you? Even if you hate someone again, how can you retaliate in such a vicious way? Zaniyah is infected with AIDS. What good is it for you? She is less than thirty years old, and her life is at its best, but you ruined her. Instead of humiliating her like this, you might as well kill her directly.”
I closed my eyes, my head buzzed, and I felt my blood pressure soaring.
“I said, this matter has nothing to do with me, and I have nothing to do with it.”
“Nonsense, Zaniyah told her father that there was something wrong with the wine she drank. Do you dare to say it had nothing to do with you?”
“Of course, it has nothing to do with me,” I shouted angrily. “She is not kind enough to be a man, and God can’t stand it anymore, so she was punished. She deserves it. Besides, who are you to me? Why are you calling me to accuse me? Don’t forget, we are no longer related.”
“You…”
I sneered, “Ms. Delia, I just want to remind you that Zaniyah is a person who would rather die than live. You’d better stay away from her. If you get any disease because of her, don’t expect me to sympathize with you. After all, I have already reminded you.”
After I said those words, I hung up the phone directly. After breathing hard a few times, I looked at my father’s photo with tears in my eyes. “Did I change or did she change? Dad, why did she hurt me? Why? Isn’t she my mother? Isn’t she the one who gave birth to me? Isn’t she the one that would protect me? Why…”
After I release my heavy feelings, my tears can’t stop falling.
Chep POV
When Krista arrived at the North Mountain Cemetery, and the driver called to inform me that they were at the cemetery, I was already on my way there.
Originally, I meant to show it to her by practical actions. I could find her even if she didn’t say what she was going to do.
My heart hurt for no apparent reason when I saw her kneeling alone on Samuel’s grave, her head on the ground and sobbing.
Turning around, I left the cemetery and came to the mountain’s base. “You go back first.” I told the driver.
I sat in the car for nearly an hour before Krista’s eyes became red.
I got out of the car as soon as I saw her.
Krista obviously stopped when she saw me and then surprised went up to me. “What brings you here?”
I hooked her lips and stroked her red eyes. “To shock you and remind you, please don’t bother me with your personal matters in the future. I can track you down, no matter how private your affairs are.”
She made a little opening in her face. “You’re so boring.”
“Have you shed many tears?  I will give you a hug to warm you.” I said as I pulled her into my arms.
She pushed me out of my arms, saying, “You think too much. It’s just too windy up there. The wind blew me around.”
I didn’t expose her, instead, I kept her close and didn’t let her go. “All right, just treat me, I came all the way to surprise you.”
Krista was no longer suffering. “How can you reward someone who doesn’t work and runs around in broad daylight?”
“Little master is rich and determined.” I made a joke.
She only smiled and remained silent.
