I looked at him sideways and smiled. “She encouraged my mother to stab me, so I asked someone to announce her story with my ex-boyfriend, and reported it to the press.”

“Zaniyah is a little arrogant, but your mother is also responsible for this.” He said calmly. “For other people’s daughters, not only publicly discrediting you in front of the media, but also beating you, which is outrageous.”

When I heard him say this, I looked at him in surprise. “Did you send someone to watch me?”

“The place where you were beaten today is my territory. Do you think I still need to spy on you?”
I sat upright and kept silent.

Cheney said, “If I didn’t mention that your mother hit you, you wouldn’t have told me at all.”

“Whose child is beaten by his mother and will complain to others?” I said softly.

“I am no one else.”

I smiled ironically in my heart, of course he was.

Cheney said, “If something like this happens in the future, tell me. I won’t take it directly against your mother, but I can help you clean up the Brennan family.”

I look at him, and some warmth is spreading in my heart.

I took out my mobile phone and watch today’s headlines. Echo is very reliable in doing things. In just a few hours, Zaniyah will changed from a poor abandoned person to a third child who has lost her righteousness.

Zaniyah’s people are burnt, and I’m very relieved.

I dialed Echo’s phone. “Echo, it’s been a hard day for you. You are so handsome and have helped me a lot.”

“Well, I am your friend.”

I laughed. “Tell me how you did it.”

“From the school forum, I found an old post about the school flower bullying her stepsister. It was from four years ago, and then I reprinted this post to my Weibo, and then someone from the big V found it, and everything follows.”

“You have worked hard.”

“Invite me to dinner later then.”

“Ok.”

After talking to him, my heart felt warm. It’s good to have such a loyal friend as Echo.

Early the next morning, I was shocked by the hot search.

It was from yesterday afternoon, when Cheney and I met, until we returned to the Fischer’s mansion together, we were secretly filmed.

These photos clearly show love. How did the reporter get this?

I went downstairs with my cell phone and to find him in the backyard,

“Cheney, we are both on fire.”

Cheney looked at me. “Why?”

I raised my mobile phone. “We were photographed.”

He hooked his lips and smiled. “Don’t make a fuss about it.” Then he turned and went out.

It suddenly dawned on me why he was so attentive yesterday.

But why did he do it?

Cheney’s POV
When I went out in the morning, I happened to meet Rashad.

He looked like playing around and came to me. “Uncle, go to work.”

I said coldly, “Am I the only elder here? I don’t know etiquette.”

Rashad looked at Krista and grinned. “Auntie, are you going to the construction site?”

Krista raised her eyebrows. “Right.”

“Just as I am going to the construction site, I’ll take you with me.”

I naturally put my arm around Krista’s shoulder and looked at Rashad coldly. “No, I’ll send her there.”

“Can I also tag along uncle?”

“I don’t want to.” With that, I put my arms around Krista and put her in the car.

When we arrived at the construction site Krista hurriedly opened the door but before she could go out, I stopped her and said, “Remember, stay away from that Rashad.”

Krista gave me a look. “Got it.”

Watching her leave, I couldn’t help frowning. Rashad became interested in her, which is not a good thing.

Krista’s POV
Cheney warned me to stay away from Rashad in the morning, and he appeared in front of me at lunch in the restaurant.

I didn’t want to be watched, so I left the restaurant with him.

I looked at him with displeasure. “What do you want?”
He held out his hand and knocked me against the wall. “Of course, I want to tell you something.”

I curled my eyebrows, looked sideways at his arm, and then dodged to the other side, keeping a distance from him.

“If you have something to say, you don’t have to cage me here.”

“Krista, I have a crush on you.”

I paused, then reacted and yelled, “Rashad, you can’t be serious, you’d better not use your evil spirits on me. Also, remember this, I am Cheney’s wife, behave yourself and call me aunt.”

After I yelled at him, I turned to enter the restaurant again.

But before I could open the door, he grabbed my wrist. “I don’t know why, my eyes are always surprisingly like what my uncle has, so I plan to grab you.”

I looked back and stared at him. “Rashad, don’t you have a bottom line? I am your second uncle’s wife, why do you still dare to say it?”

“Don’t you also have no bottom line, don’t you also rob your sister’s fiancé? In this matter of feelings, there is no wrong or right.”

“You can’t succeed in this life, Rashad, I wouldn’t pay attention to you at all.”

I tried hard, and the more I tried to shake off his hand, the stronger he held it. “Then you’d better not put Cheney in your eyes. This man, from head to toe, including his heart, doesn’t belong to you. If you don’t want me to think about you, you’d better keep your heart in check and don’t let him fall in love with you. Otherwise, I will ruin your reputation for him.”

I frowned. Is Rashad at the moment really the same person as the Rashad who helped me yesterday morning? Maybe he has a dual personality?

He loosened the hand holding my arm and grinned. “Aunt, we have a long way to go.”

I really didn’t want to talk to him, so I turned and went back to the restaurant.

After sitting down, I was a little distracted. Just now, what did Rashad mean by that remark?

Although I can’t really fall in love with Cheney in my life, for some reason, I always feel that Rashad seems to be afraid that I will fall in love with Cheney. No, he is afraid… it should be that Cheney will love me.

But why? Is there anything I don’t know? I’m starting to be a little curious.
In the afternoon, the work on the construction site was proceeding in an orderly manner. Everyone was busy, but Rashad, like a ghost, was staring at me behind me.

In front, Quincy told his assistants what they needed to pay attention to, and everyone just dispersed.

I stood not far behind Quincy and looked at the drawings for a while. When I looked up, I saw the pile foundation acoustic tube hanging from the crane in front of me scattered down.

Seeing Quincy looking in another direction and not noticing the top of his head at all, my heart tightened and instinctively rushed up and pushed him aside.

Although I tried my best, the acoustic tube fell in our direction.
