“Okay, sure I will be there soon” she hung up the call and put her phone down on the dresser table so she could wear her necklace and bracelet.
When she was done she went in front of their floor-to-ceiling wardrobe mirror to check out her outfit.
She was wearing a pair of tummy dark blue skinny jeans, white off-the-shoulder crop top, her hair was let down in its natural golden locks and she was wearing minimal makeup that consisted of powder, blush, and lip gloss. Her regular everyday makeup.
She paired her dressing with white sneakers, and a small deep brown purse slung over her. She placed her hands on her hips and turned to her side to check out herself properly.
Didn’t want any wardrobe failure when she steps outside.
Satisfied with her look she turned around and let out a little yelp then placed her palm over her chest with eyes wide open, looking at the person that almost gave her a mini heart attack.
Dimitri was leaning on the doorframe of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his hips and his body glistening from the water that drips from his head. His arms were folded as he looked directly at her.
She looked at him for some time and took her gaze away from him. Then she looked back at him and opened her mouth to say something but decided against it and proceeded to take her phone from the dresser table.
“And where do you think you are going to?” he asked when he saw her going to the door without saying anything to him.
She turned to look at him and tried not to allow her focus to go down his body. This was the second time she will see him in such a way and it still put her in disarray.
Shakily she shook her head then raised a brow at him with her arms crossed.
“I asked you a question,” he said again, standing straight and letting his hand fall to his side.
“I didn’t remember you being my daddy” was her reply.
He rolled his eyes and glared at her then took some steps towards her and she stepped back. “Don’t come closer to me”
“Where are you going?” he asked again, still moving in her direction.
“None of your business, bye,” she said and tried leaving but he quickly stepped in front of her then folded his arms and looked down at her.
“Where are you going? That is the least you could tell me, I am responsible for you and I should know where you are, in case your parents or friend ask of you” he tried to reason with her.
She looked away from his muscle that bulged when he folded his arm and tried not to raise her hand to feel them again. Her body shook at how close he was and her legs turned to jelly.
It was because he looked good she felt this way… or not. Maybe just a little crush she has developed for the jerk over time.
‘Not not, not now Audri, not now’ she scolded herself and took a deep breath in then out and looked back up at him, still shaky.
“I am hanging out with Sofia and Earl,” she said and was surprised she didn’t sound as shaky as her body was.
“Where are yo- did you just say you are hanging out with Earl?” he cut himself off and glared at her.
“Yes, I did and get out of my way” she tried to walk past him but he still stood in her way and still looked at her angrily.
“Why don’t you listen to me?” he let his hand drop to his side before placing them on his hips.
“What? Listen to you?” she shook her head and glared at him.
“We will be hanging out in De’Cafe restaurant if you must know and I will see you when I see you next, excuse me” she walked past him again and this time he grabbed her hand and made her face him.
“Didn’t I tell you I didn’t want you near that boy?” he asked, still glaring at her.
“And didn’t I tell you, you have no say on who I hang out with and don’t? And don’t you dare call him a boy. He is a man with feelings” she said back and gave him a once over “Something you lack” and that fueled his anger.
She was arguing with him over a stranger, defending a total stranger because of what? What the heck? He closed his eyes and opened them back then looked at her and softened his gaze.
“I don’t want anything to happen to you” he breathed out.
Her eyes opened wide and her heart began to race. Did she hear what she thinks she just heard? From him? From Dimitri?
I don’t want anything to happen to you.
His words began to ring in her head and she started to feel her head spin and her palm sweat. She staggered a bit but he held her by the waist to steady her.
“Are you okay?” he asked worriedly.
She opened her eyes and looked straight into his eyes and saw it there. It was right there. In his eyes.
Care. Affection.
Shaking her head she ignored it, shrugged out of his hold, and brushed past him and this time he didn’t stop her but watch her go.
He possibly couldn’t be serious, he was just saying it just so she can feel like he cares when truly he doesn’t.
“He doesn’t care, Audriana, he doesn’t care. About you or anyone aside from himself, his parents, and his friends. Get it off your head he doesn’t care about you Audri. He doesn’t” she muttered to herself and shakenly got into the Uber she called in, some minutes ago.
“Are you okay ma’am?” he asked and she nod yes then he proceed to start the engine and drive away from their mansion.

“She has to say at the window side, am I clear?” she said to the person over the phone.
“Why do you want to harm her? What has she ev-”
“Por el amor de DIOS idiota, deja de cuestionarme y haz lo que te digo” she screamed over the phone.
“I didn’t understand what you just said” he replied
“Oh darling you are Spanish and don’t try to play that nonsense with me, now be a good boy and do what I asked you to do. Are we clear?” she asked and he sighed and nodded “are we?”
“Yes, we are,” he said and hung up the phone. “Una mujer tan loca”
