“Hey, er… I am Earl Miguel Durpuel, I was the one who cal-”
“Oh, you are the man who saved my baby” Kingsley cuts in and walks up to the man to hug him “Thank you so much, Earl, I don’t know what I would have done if you didn’t drag her from the way” he leaned back from the hug and patted his shoulders.
“Oh, it’s nothing sir, it’s something anyone would do” he shrugged.
“Thank you so much for saving my daughter-in-law. Donald Lorenzo” he held his hands out and Earl took it.
“Nice to meet you, sir, I have said my name earlier so… yeah” he chuckled and he just nodded.
“Sorry, pardon my manners. I am Kingsley Bernard, Audriana’s Father, and this is Dimitri Lorenzo, her husband, and Sofia, my daughter” he points at a frowning Dimitri who still had that look on his face when the guys stepped in and at Sofia.
“It’s nice meeting you too sir,” he shook Kingsley’s hand and shook Sofia’s “Nice to meet you Sofia” she smiled.
“Nice to meet my sister’s hero”
“Thank you and you Dimitri” he waved at Dimitri since he didn’t look friendly at the moment. “Do you mind, I brought her flowers” he held out his hands to show them.
“Is that necessary?” Dimitri muttered and Sofia glared at him and went further into the room.
“Oh, yes please, she is here. Sweetheart, your hero is here” all the ladies looked at them.
“I want you guys to meet Earl Dur-” he was interrupted by his wife standing up and going straight to hug him.
“Thank you so much, Earl, if you weren’t there, I don’t know what would be the fate of my daughter” she choked out and he hugged her back.
“It’s okay ma’am, it’s something anyone would do.”
“I am Moana Bernard Audri’s mum and this is my friend and Audri’s mother-in-law Patricia Lorenzo” she introduced.
“Good evening ma’am”
“How are you? I am so thankful, here sitting so you can talk to Audriana” she stood and went to her husband.
“Hi, Mrs. Lore-”
“Oh, please don’t call me that, call me Audriana or Audri” she hugged him and smiled when she pulled out of the hug “You saved my life and I am happy for that, thank you, Earl,” she said smiling at him.
“Oh, it’s fine Audri, I am glad you are doing fine. Here I brought you these, I didn’t know what you might like so I just…” he held out the flowers for her and she collected them and admired its beauty.
“Thank you so much, it’s so beautiful you know I secretly love sunflowers?” She whispered the last part and inhaled it then closed her eyes. “Thank you”
He sighed in relief and nodded happily that she loved it.
“I am glad you love it” he scratched his head and looked around a bit but didn’t miss the glare Dimitri threw at him and it caught him off guard. “Erm, I should be leaving, I just wanted to be sure you were okay,” he said putting his hands in his pocket.
“Oh yeah” Dimitri muttered and Sofia glared at him and muttered ‘behave’.
“Oh no, why don’t you stay? We can hang out later, I will be discharged soon right?” she asked, looking at her family.
“Love, the doctor said you need to rest and Mr. Earl here wants to leave, he might have other engagements to attend to let’s not disturb him,” he said not being able to take it anymore then walked towards her and not forgetting to step on the toe of his shoe.
Earl grimaced a bit and tried to mask it off, it could probably be a mistake since he had his leg on the way so he decided to brush it off but he caught the smirk he threw at him and realized it was intentional.
What his problem was he didn’t know.
“Oh, but I’m fine and I want to go home” she pouts and folds her arms then sits back on the bed.
Dimitri sat beside her and put his finger under her chin then made her face him, before leaning in and placing his lips on hers. Her eyes widened when she saw him lean in and her body tensed when his lips met hers.
She couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t move, she was just there. Sitting, with her husband’s lips against hers.
He removed his fingers from under her chin and sat closer to her then put his hand around her and moved his lips then tilted his head to the side to deepen the kiss and in the process he bit her bottom lips and a gasp left her lips and he could kiss her properly.
She closed her eyes and put her hands around her husband’s neck kissing him back, totally forgetting they had companies in the room and concentrated on her fine husband’s kisses.
“Seriously if you guys were going to eat each other faces the polite thing to do is tell us to excuse you,” Sofia said breaking them up and turning to Earl who was sitting uncomfortably on the chair “I am so sorry, you can come to visit her when she isn’t mushy with her husband, thank you so much,” she walked over to him and shook his hand again.
“It’s no problem, can’t stop a couple right? thank you, everyone, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo and Bernard, Dimitri, Audri, I will see you all later, bye,” he said and waved at them before leaving.
She turned red when they broke the kiss and just waved at Earl since she was so shy to look up because of her husband’s action. She got carried away by his kisses and wasted no time in joining the smooth adventure his lips took her to.
Stupid stupid Audriana, why get carried away. She might seem needy like he tagged her to be and this would be enough for him to say to her when they are alone but honestly, she really needed that kiss. She disliked his attitude towards her but his kisses took her over the moon.
At least he is good-looking and clean to kiss. She lifted her gaze to look at him and put her gaze down immediately when she saw him already looking at her.
Dimitri smirked when he saw that she couldn’t meet his gaze and when she did she put it down immediately and kept her gaze on her hands. The blush on her cheeks gave him more boost.
He was glad the guy left and took his hand in his then placed a kiss on her both palms, she looked up when she felt soft warm lips on her palm and closed her eyes when he leaned in to continue where they had stopped.
“Okay, fine we are leaving,” Sofia said and left with both parents.
