Jacob’s pov……..
I and Agustin are sitting in here in his office since last night, trying to track that motherfucker down. But to no Avail. As if suddenly he has disappeared from the face of earth. How the hell did he hide so well.
How the bloody hell, is something I can’t understand.
Agustin won’t sleep, won’t eat, basically won’t do anything since he had heard that, that fucker was seen near Onika. So he won’t rest until he get his hands on him.
Well the same goes for me. It’s boiling the blood in my veins to even imagine him any where near her.
Agustin pulled me out of my thoughts by saying” Onika is there in my mansion and I am here trying to get that rat out of his hole. I will make that pig pay for each and every second I am away from her. One day out of 3 months is already gone. Which in itself is more than worth his pathetic life.”
He said picking up the nearest vase and throwing it on the nearest wall with a bang, shattering it into pieces.
” I just can’t rest in peace until I catch that bastard and show him my own personal piece of hell….” He was interrupted by a knock on the door.
He groaned in irritation and shouted.” Who the hell is disturbing me when I gave clear order that no one is to disturb me.”
Then realization hit us both like a thunderstorm at the same time as we both looked at each other in horror.
Only Kale is allowed in, in case it’s an emergency concerning Onika and since no one will dare to defy Agustin that means it’s Kale. Which definitely is not a good news. We both abruptly stood up and Agustin immediately shouted. “Come in.”
For sure a very scared Kale entered in, looking visibly pale.
“Si… sir…”he stuttered
“speak up right this second”Agustin shouted at him taking few dangerous steps towards him, standing to his full intimidating height.
“Sir.. mm.. ma’am is nowhere to be seen. I have searched everywhere. Even called on her cell but she is not picking up.”he said his voice cracking because of fear.
“What! What the fuck do you mean by she is nowhere to be seen” Agustin snapped at him grabbing him by his collar.
“Sir… I.. I… have no idea… how she gg.. got out of here.”he said, now sweating profusely as if about to piss in his pants.
If looks could kill Kale would have been six feet under.
“Get the fuck out of here and call whole of the security team here this moment, you have five minutes.” He hissed at him. And he ran out as if his pants were on fire.
Minutes later whole of the security team was standing in Agustin’s cabin like some cows for mass slaughter.
“The one who guard the main exit door, come in front.”he commanded. His tone giving away how pissed he is. When four guards came to stand infront of him, scared out of there wits, he immediately started his interrogation.
“How the fuck did she get out of the premises when I clearly stated she is not to leave the campus.” He asked, his tone threatening.
One of the guard spoke”Sir, about an hour before she tried to get out but we didn’t let her out as instructed by you, even though she said it’s urgent.”
‘urgent’ that ring a bell in my mind.
“Why the fuck I wasn’t informed about it…” Agustin shouted at them.
“sir she did tried to call you but your phone was switched off.. and none of us have your personal number… she looked very stressed, at the verge of crying…..” The next thing heard was, Agustin’s Sharp intake of breath. But he wasn’t finished yet.
“….. then she said something about she had to talk to you and then ran towards the main building again.”he informed.
Both of ours eyes searched for the guards stationed at Agustin’s cabin. It wasn’t hard to spot them as they where visibly shaking. And I knew they had fucked up a big time.
He cluctched his hair in frustration ands asked to them”Did she come here to talk to me.” When they said nothing but just stared at each other wide eyed in fear Agustin snapped
“I fucking asked you something and I want the truth with each and every details… don’t you dare miss out any thing or you won’t like the consequences.” He said in a dangerously low voice. Both of us already knew we are not going to like the answer.
“Sir, ma’am said that she need to talk to you, is very urgent but we had your orders not to let anyone in under any circumstances so we ha.. had to de.. deny.”he somehow managed to choke out.
“Come again! You did what?!” Agustin said that so loud that I am sure by now whole of the office members must have gathered outside the cabin.
Agustin lunged towards him and it took myself and eight of our guards to bring him under control.
“Agustin calm down he was just following orders it was our fault that we didn’t informed them to let her in and moreover what is done is done. Now we have to pull our shits together and act rationally each passing moment may cost Onika her li… life” it took everything in me to get the word out of my mouth, but the fact that it’s already more then an hour she had gone missing and we have no leads whatsoever and that bastard haven’t even tried to contact us.
What is going on in that bastard’s little mind, what the fuck is he planning for her, whatever it is one thing is clear it can’t be good.
I could see understanding drowning on Agustin’s face I took the cue, and take charge.
I immidiatly ordered Kale to bring the CCTV footage of the front area of previous hour and at the same time called our top investigators right away to track her phone immidiatly.
There where a total of five vehicles moving in and out, one of it being Lyla’s, one of Onika’s friend but that was not what caught my attention rather the fact that she moved out and then just 10 minutes later again moved in. Something is wrong.
I immediately called her in the cabin.
As soon as she entered she was shocked to see such a large crowd already present there. When she saw a murderous Agustin. Her confusion immediately replaced by fear.
“Had you helped Onika escape? Don’t lie Because we are not going to punish you even if you did. She may be in some trouble and we need to know.” I said as calmly as I can.
Her hand started shaking and she lowered her gaze, I know it’s her doing, so do Agustin. He was eyeing her like a predator to its prey. Before Agustin patience can wain off I urged her again.”look Lyla she might be in some serious trouble so please answer fast. Her life may depend on it.” My life depend on it, I added silently.
She finally took a deep breath and said…” Ye.. yes I did.” No sooner she said that Agustin launched towards her.
“You fucking dared!”Agustin snapped at her and proceeded towards her.
But I will be damned if I let him hit a woman, infront of me.
“Agustin we don’t have time for this so please cut short your acts, for the shake of Onika… can you do that?” I asked and he took two deafeted steps back as soon as Onika’s name left my mouth.
Saying that I urged Lyla to speak further.” Can you tell us Lyla what was the emergency that she had to leave like this in a state of panic.” My heart was beating fast by now, I was holding my breath.
She thought for a second before answering” she said Alex needs her.”
That did it. We immediately called Agustin’s mansion and one of the maids informed Agustin that Alex is perfectly fine to our relief, then Agustin asked if any thing was out of normal, to our surprise we came to know that Alex’s nanny left the house before time saying it’s a family emergency.
“Fuck, I told Onika not to allow anyone without a background check but she always has to go against me just for the shake of it.”
“What is done is done Agustin… you immediately do what I say without wasting another second… tell your security guards to inform us Alex’s nanny’s car’s number and model using the CCTV footage. It is enough information to track her down, if she isn’t some trained criminal, which I highly doubt. It hasn’t been long since she had left your mansion and we have the best team at our disposal send whole of your team if you have to.
Agustin told the investigators” I want this woman infront of me within an hour use all your force, failed to do that be ready to kiss your life goodbye.”he deadpanned. Well Agustin’s anger works wonder. Sure enough within an hour she was sitting infront of us like a little leaf, shaking in fear. Her face showed that she had been sobbing.
“Sir I don’t know anything…. I didn’t do anything please let me go…”
“You bitch who do you think you are fooling? I am gonna peel your skin an…..” I cut off Agustin.
I groaned at Agustin.” Agustin come to the point. Keep your anger in control it won’t do us any good or rather keep bubbling it up in your chest because once we get our hands on that fucker you are gonna need it and believe me I won’t stop you then, he will be all yours to torture as you please, that will be your action time” I saw a sadistic glint in Agustin’s eyes and I know that bastard is damned.
Without wasting any time I turned towards her and asked.
” So let me put it this way miss… if within this very second you didn’t spill every thing out of your mouth there will be a hell lot to pay.” Saying that I gestured towards the room full of trained fighter each of them having a gun in there hand.
“You have no idea whom you have fucked with do you?”
This was all it took to crack her.
“I am sor.. sorry… I didn’t wanted do this…. I was blackmailed.”Saying that see started sobbing vigorously.
“Blackmailed? How so?”
“I got a call from an unknown number saying that if I didn’t do it they will kill my husband. They even sent me a photo of him being tied to a chair and beaten….” I cut her off.
“Can you give us the number?”
“Ye.. yes.”
She gave us the number which I immediately passed to the investigators to track it. And as expected it is switched off.
And Onika’s phone location is showing a constant position approx two kms away from Agustin mansion. Which means it was thrown there when he abducted her.
“So basically here we are back to square one without any clue, without any fucking lead to start with.” came Agustin’s blooming voice
“It is all my fault I shouldn’t have left her alone.” He added.
No, I am not fucking let anything to happen to her.
I turned towards the bunch of investors” inform the police and ask the police if any complain has been registered regarding any type of abnormal activity around the area where her mobile was last seen and some of you go there and ask the residents and shopkeepers if they had seen anything abnormal….. someone must have seen something. He had abducted her in the daylight from a fairly crowded area… someone is bound to notice it.”
They immidiatly departed to do there respective works.
The time was ticking by each passing second making my heart heavy. I just pray to the God she is fine. We don’t have any leads yet. But he is bound to have left behind some clue. I just have to find out what it is and once I find out… you better count your last days motherfucker. You have a hell lot to pay.
After what seems one hour, one of the investigator entered. We both immediately stood up.
“Sir, the taxi in which ma’am rode, it’s driver was drugged and is admitted in a nearby hospital. The police was already informed and they had already begun the investigation. There aren’t any CCTV cameras covering that area, he is intelligent I would add.
Some witnesses are also their but none have seen the abductor as he was well covered and we haven’t got any strong lead from them. The investigation is still going on and we will inform you right away if some progress is made. But right now the driver is our only hope. He has been given the antidote but it will take him 2-3 hours to wake up again. So we would have to wait.”
Fuck.
“Okay… keep us updated on his condition and as soon as he wakes up call us.” Saying that I dismissed him.
2-3 fucking hours. Where is she right now? What she must be going through? Did he hurt him? I hope it won’t be too late before we reach there.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by a ‘thug’ sound and saw Agustin sitting on the couch. His face pale. Agony evident on his face as if someone has ripped his heart out. I can see a layer of thin moisture collect infront of his iris. He was trying hard to hold it there.
He looked what I felt- devastated, ruined to be exact. And all we could do is wait.
