“Miss, I’m sorry for being rude,” Akira apologized to Violet with a fist salute.
Violet’s status in the East family was extraordinary because she was the clan leader’s only daughter.
“Miss Violet, you’re kind-hearted and perhaps do not know the treacherous hearts of outsiders,” Akira said, his cold gaze fixed on Leo. “Daring to abduct the miss of the East family, even a thousand deaths wouldn’t be enough!”
“Akira, watch your words. It was I who begged Leo to bring me along, and Leo has always been good to me,” Violet shouted coldly.
Leo was already feeling unpleasant. He could see that the man called Akira was deliberately targeting him.
Seeing Violet repeatedly defending Leo and even scolding himself, Akira’s handsome face turned ugly.
“Miss Violet, I’m sorry, but I must take this person away,” Akira raised his hand, and a blue flame ignited in his palm.
“What, you want to fight Leo!?” Seeing Akira’s actions, Violet’s pretty face turned even colder and angrier.
“Miss Violet, I’m not disrespecting you, but this person must be apprehended. It’s by the order of the clan leader. We need to capture individuals who had significant contact with you over the past two months and bring them to the clan leader for questioning,” Akira explained.
“My father’s orders? Impossible. Father wouldn’t issue such an order. Moreover, Leo saved me,” Violet was clearly skeptical.
“Miss Violet, it truly is the clan leader’s direct order,” Akira insisted.
In reality, Violet’s father’s original words were not about capturing people but investigating whom Violet had contacted. This was for her safety.
If those who had contact with Violet were friendly and helpful, they could be invited to the East family as a gesture of gratitude.
If someone was found to be harmful to Violet, they must be captured and brought to the East family.
“Your name is Leo, right? You have two options: to bind yourself and come with me willingly, or I will take you by force,” Akira’s lips curved into a cold smile.
“Akira, you…” Seeing Akira insisting on a confrontation, Violet became even angrier. She was about to rebuke when Leo lightly tugged her.
As Violet turned back, she saw Leo gently shaking his head.
Violet understood that Leo wanted to handle this himself.
“I’d like to see how you’ll take me by force,” Leo’s eyes turned icy.
Initially, considering Violet, he could overlook their trespassing.
But now, that was no longer an option. At least, Akira must be taught a lesson.
Akira glanced mockingly at Leo, then placed the Feather Fan into his waist.
In Akira’s view, Leo did not deserve him using the Feather Fan.
“If you are so obstinate, I will first disable your arms, then capture you,” Akira sneered.
To vent his anger, Akira believed he must disable Leo’s arms.
Akira fully released his powerful aura, his right hand forming a claw enveloped in blue flames, viciously aiming at Leo’s throat.
Leo snorted coldly, countering with an explosive punch at Akira’s Green Flame Claw.
Initially, Akira had not taken Leo seriously.
But as he sensed the force on Leo’s fist, his expression shifted slightly.
The tremendous force from Leo’s fist collided with the Green Flame Claw, producing a dull sound.
The massive recoil forced Akira to retreat a good seven or eight steps before he could stabilize himself.
After steadying himself, Akira shook his right arm, finally dissipating the remaining force.
His entire right arm was numb, and only after circulating his internal energy did the numbness subside.
Leo’s stance, however, was unmoved.
Akira slowly clenched his fist, his face instantly turning extremely gloomy. He couldn’t believe that in the very first round, he lost face so badly.
“Hmph, you have some brute strength, but battles aren’t just about using brute strength. Today, I must strip you of your two hands.” With a grim expression, Akira’s hands quickly formed a seal.
Between Akira’s palms, a rectangular seal shrouded in a green flame swiftly condensed.
On the green flame seal, a blurred phoenix seemed to dance, emitting a powerful fiery aura.
“Sapphire Phoenix Seal.” Akira coldly shouted, and the seal wonderfully formed.
The Sapphire Phoenix Seal shot towards Leo like a bolt of lightning, a faint phoenix cry seemingly resounded faintly.
“Leo, be careful. This is a high-level martial technique from my East family. Its power is immense,” Violet hurriedly reminded.
“Hmph, if you take this Sapphire Phoenix Seal head-on, you’ll be either dead or severely injured.” Akira coldly snorted in his heart.
“Flying Sword, break!” Leo’s expression remained unchanged as he formed a complex sword seal with both hands.
Within the sword seal, a small sword glowing with brilliant golden light took shape.
Once the golden sword was formed, it left Leo’s palm, growing rapidly in size until it was as large as a typical treasured sword, hovering in the air before Leo.
The golden sword seemed to be forged from pure gold and exuded a mighty sharp aura.
Leo’s eyes turned cold, and he pointed towards the rapidly approaching Sapphire Phoenix Seal.
The golden sword transformed into a stream of light, moving exceedingly fast as it shot towards the Sapphire Phoenix Seal.
With dazzling brightness, it pierced through the Sapphire Phoenix Seal in an instant. The seal shattered, and a mass of green flame wrapped around the golden sword, burning away the energy on the golden sword.
However, the golden sword still carried tremendous momentum, rushing towards Akira.
Seeing this, Akira’s expression drastically changed. He quickly grasped his Feather Fan from his waist.
Swinging the Feather Fan, he harshly struck the golden sword engulfed in green flames.
Under Akira’s forceful blow, the golden sword disintegrated, turning into specks of golden light that disappeared.
However, when the golden sword disintegrated, a wisp of golden sword energy pierced through Akira’s protective inner force, creating a bloody gash on his right hand, which held the fan.
Akira’s face turned even more grim. In two confrontations, he had suffered a hidden loss the first time and had his hand injured the second time. It was truly humiliating.
Meigetsu and Kaen exchanged glances, seeing astonishment and heaviness in each other’s eyes.
They hadn’t expected this young man’s strength to be so formidable.
What was most peculiar was that they couldn’t sense any inner force fluctuations from Leo.
“Damn it, you dare to wound me! I’ll kill you!” Akira roared in fury.
