The events were almost too much for Kakusei to grasp, leaving him to wistfully think how great it would be if such a young man were a disciple of the Shaoshan School.
As he looked at what lay before him and felt the Dragon Vein returning to normal, Kakusei was speechless.
Leo retracted the Divine Dragon Sword and dispersed the remaining geomantic tools. The restoration of the Dragon Vein was complete.
However, the effort had drained much of his Spiritual Power, leaving Leo with a sense of physical emptiness.
The Dragon Vein, being sentient, meant Leo’s work was akin to saving it, which implied saving the local fortune and people, resulting in great merit.
Such merit could bring future fortune at crucial times.
Besides the merit, repairing a Dragon Vein rewards one with its return gift.
A special energy from deep within the earth surged through Leo’s entire body via his feet.
Leo felt a mystical sensation, as if bathed in the first light of dawn, which was profoundly soothing.
Though his Spiritual Power remained low, the fatigue vanished.
The Dragon Vein’s gift was immensely beneficial.
This mystical energy could refine his consciousness and mental state, aiding in future cultivation breakthroughs.
Upon parting ways with the three Shaoshan School adepts, Kakumei warmly invited Leo to visit the school someday.
Intrigued by Shaoshan School, Leo readily agreed.
Back at Thomas’s villa, Thomas couldn’t stop praising Leo, his admiration even visible in his eyes.
Although coming from such a rugged man, the adoring looks were rather off-putting.
Leo had no mood for small talk, so he went upstairs to meditate.
Meanwhile, Thomas had to report to his superiors.
When Leo opened his eyes again, it was already daybreak.
After washing up, his phone rang; it was Willa.
“Miss Coates, good morning.”
“Mr. Bloomer, the Redday Tower project has officially commenced today. Is the geomancy issue resolved?” Willa asked with concern.
“Yes, it’s been taken care of,” Leo replied.
“Oh, that’s good to know,” Willa seemed relieved. “Mr. Bloomer, after our last meeting, I spent a day researching geomancy at home. It’s truly a profound and extensive discipline.”
“I understand that many ancient structures were closely tied to geomancy. I believe it could inspire my designs greatly. I’d like to invite you for a meal today to discuss geomancy further. Would that be possible?”
Leo wanted to return to Langstel, so he declined, “Miss Coates, I’m afraid I have urgent matters to handle and need to return to Langstel today.”
“I see…” Willa sounded a bit disappointed. “Well then, safe travels, Mr. Bloomer.”
Thinking of the bachelor Thomas, Leo suggested, “Miss Coates, might I recommend someone else? You can discuss geomancy with him for inspiration.”
“Are you referring to Thomas?” Willa was quick to understand.
“Exactly.”
“He…” Willa hesitated.
“What’s the matter?” Leo sensed a story.
Willa lowered her voice awkwardly, “Thomas is nice enough, but he stammers. Talking to him is quite difficult.”
“Stammers?”
Leo was puzzled; he hadn’t noticed Thomas stammering. Could it be that he only stuttered with women?
This speculation instantly made sense to Leo.
After hanging up, Leo went downstairs where Thomas was leisurely sipping tea in the living room.
Thomas seemed perfectly at ease alone, contrasting with Willa’s remarks about him, which amused Leo.
Seeing Leo, Thomas warmly invited him to join.
“Leo, try this excellent Maojian tea I just got.” Thomas pushed a delicate cup toward him.
After tasting it, Leo joked, “Thomas, you seem to be enjoying your bachelor life quite well.”
“Life is meant to be enjoyed,” Thomas grinned. “Our superiors asked me to thank you for your help. Consider this tea my gesture of gratitude.”
Leo clinked his cup with Thomas’s and drank it in one gulp.
“Let me show you around Deepmere City today. You won’t regret it!” Thomas offered enthusiastically.
“Thomas, I really have to go back to Langstel today. Thanks for your hospitality.”
“If you have business to attend, I won’t hold you. After breakfast, I’ll drive you to the airport.”
By noon, Leo returned to Langstel and took a cab directly to the Seven Stars Sword Sect.
At the sect, he found Violet, who he thought had gone home but had instead been traveling around Chiville.
Leo and Jennifer, familiar with Violet’s playful nature, weren’t surprised.
As they headed to see the Thunder Wing Beast, two large Fiery Vultures flew high over sixty kilometers from the sect.
One Fiery Vulture carried four people: an elderly man in luxurious red robes with a youthful face, well-maintained skin, and faintly red eyes that emitted a terrifying fire energy.
Beside him, a young man in white held a Firefeather Fan, exuding hidden arrogance.
Behind them sat two solemn guards in red armor and armed with long spears.
The other Fiery Vulture carried an elderly woman, her aura equally formidable as the red-robed elder.
Their destination was the Seven Stars Sword Sect.
“Kaen, Miss has been missing for two months. I’ve confirmed she’s in this third-rate martial sect called Seven Stars Sword Sect,” the young man said respectfully.
“Akira, this information better be accurate,” the elderly man asked seriously.
“It’s confirmed,” the young man assured.
