“Felix, even if there’s trouble, who dares to be an enemy of the Prince?” Prince Augustus laughed arrogantly.
With Felix’s help, he didn’t have to worry about losing face. Besides, he knew better than anyone what Felix was thinking.
Not long after Prince Augustus finished speaking, Count Antoine, who was in charge of intelligence work, hurriedly approached with a grave expression on his face.
As Antoine approached and noticed that Prince Felix was also present, his facial expression adjusted slightly.
“Greetings, esteemed Prince Felix,” Count Antoine placed his hand on his chest and slightly bowed, performing a noble gesture.
“What’s the matter, Antoine?” Prince Augustus frowned and asked.
Antoine was responsible for intelligence work and was usually composed, rarely showing a heavy and unpleasant expression on his face.
Upon hearing Prince Augustus’s question, Antoine looked at Prince Felix with some hesitation.
Then, he gritted his teeth and walked to Prince Augustus’s side, whispering to him.
Prince Felix’s gaze flickered as he closely observed the change in Prince Augustus’s expression.
Felix knew very well that as long as he was present, Prince Augustus would maintain a calm demeanor even if he heard significant news.
However, observing and deciphering people’s expressions had always been Felix’s strong suit.
Yet, this time Felix’s prediction was incorrect.
Initially composed, Prince Augustus, who was leisurely enjoying his tea, suddenly changed his complexion after hearing Count Antoine’s whispered information.
“What!? What did you say!?” Prince Augustus slammed the porcelain cup heavily on the stone table, spilling the red tea inside.
At this moment, Augustus began to doubt his own ears.
He turned his head, his face darkened, and his gaze fixed firmly on Antoine.
Clearly, he wanted to confirm the authenticity of this news from Antoine.
Count Antoine, with a solemn face, nodded in confirmation.
“Augustus, what happened?” Prince Felix narrowed his eyes and asked. His intuition told him that something significant had occurred; otherwise, Augustus wouldn’t display such agitation.
“It’s nothing, Felix.” Prince Augustus’s face turned gloomy, and he shook his head.
However, his furious expression couldn’t be concealed.
“Felix, let’s end the tea for today,” Prince Augustus dismissed their gathering.
Augustus’s heart was burning with anger, but he wouldn’t explode in front of Felix. Doing so would only make him a laughingstock.
“Oh, alright then. I’ll come again another day,” Prince Felix smiled faintly and stood up.
“However, Augustus, remember this, if you truly encounter any troublesome matters, I might be able to provide assistance.”
“Of course, I believe you won’t let the Modock Family’s interests in Eastland be harmed. It’s not only something I dislike, but also the other two individuals and the Elder Council wouldn’t want to see it happen.”
There was a meaningful smile on Felix’s face.
“Felix, you’re overthinking it,” Augustus snorted.
“I hope it’s just my overthinking. Good luck to you, Augustus,” Felix said, then glanced at the man standing behind him, who was over two meters tall. “Willner, let’s go.”
“Yes, Your Highness,” Willner respectfully replied.
After Felix left, Augustus’s expression turned incredibly gloomy, and his eyes revealed an undisguised fury.
Bang!
Augustus slammed his palm heavily on the solid stone table, causing it to crack, and the tea cups and pastries on the table scattered onto the ground.
“Antoine, what you just said, is it true?” Prince Augustus’s face was filled with a chilling intent, his gaze turning crimson as he stared at Count Antoine.
“Yes, Your Highness, that Atraria person named Leo is retaliating wildly against our people.”
“I received news that a total of ninety members of the Modock Family were killed in Chiville State, Southern River State, and Ron State in Atraria. Only five members survived, and his retaliatory actions are still ongoing,” Count Antoine’s face wore a grim expression, mixed with a hint of disbelief.
The Lycan Clan had existed for thousands of years, and this was the first time someone dared to slaughter the members of the Modock Family so brazenly and recklessly.
Moreover, judging by the trend, it seemed like they intended to annihilate all Lycan Clan members in Atraria.
“That bastard! He dares to provoke the Modock Family like this! He’s simply seeking death! This Atraria person is truly seeking death!” Augustus’s eyes turned bloodshot, and a terrifying aura emanated from him, spreading like a wave.
Boom!
As the wave swept past, the stone table that Augustus had just shattered with his palm turned into powder.
Beside him, Count Antoine’s face turned pale under the pressure of that aura, and his breathing became slightly labored.
Suppressing the anger in his heart, Prince Augustus stared at Antoine and asked, “Antoine, most members of the Lycan Clan hide their identities, and even Atraria WONDER only has a small portion of the list. How could that Atraria person find so many Lycan Clan members?!”
The Lycan Clan mostly concealed themselves within the crowd, and unless they were in mortal danger, few Lycan Clan members would reveal themselves as werewolves. Therefore, the majority of people were unaware of the existence of werewolves.
“My lord, I also don’t know how he found out. The five surviving Lycan Clan members were only in contact with me individually. Apart from me, no one else in Atraria knew their identities,” Count Antoine replied.
“Those who were killed, to some extent, had connections with each other, so I suspect…” Antoine didn’t finish his sentence.
“Are you saying that some members among them betrayed the others?” Prince Augustus understood Antoine’s implication.
Antoine nodded solemnly.
Otherwise, how could one explain that none of the members contacted individually were killed, while those with some connections to others were all dead?
“It’s impossible! It’s absolutely impossible! The members of my Modock Family would never easily betray their fellow members!” Prince Augustus exclaimed.
“Could it be that Atraria has developed a device to detect the werewolf’s aura? That’s how he found so many members,” Prince Augustus couldn’t believe Antoine’s speculation.
“My lord, I’m not sure about that, but it’s highly unlikely for them to create a device to detect werewolves,” Count Antoine shook his head.
“Damn it, that cursed Atraria! How dare he kill so many members of my Lycan Clan! He’s asking for an endless war with the Modock Family!” Prince Augustus’s voice turned icy.
“My lord, should we go to Atraria immediately, kill that lad, and seize the Seven Stars Sword Sect?” Count Antoine asked.
Prince Augustus’s face darkened, and he pondered for a moment before shaking his head.
