“When I arrived in Blue Flower Town yesterday, I took a brief look from the car. There should be a good geomancy spot on the northern hill of the town,” Leo said.
“But before relocating the tomb, you need to prepare many things.” Leo asked the waiter to bring paper and a pen and quickly started writing.
After filling almost an entire page, Leo pushed the paper towards Brice. “Mr. Hampton, please make sure to prepare everything I’ve written on this paper. Today, I will go to the northern hill of the town to assess the geomancy. Once you’re ready, we can start the construction and relocation.”
Brice took the paper, read it carefully, and solemnly put it in his pocket. He said, “I will prepare everything as soon as possible. I’ll rely on you, Dr. Bloomer, for the tomb relocation.”
Although Brice hadn’t witnessed Leo’s miraculous abilities yesterday, he had no doubts about Leo’s geomancy skills so far. The safety of his father and the fortunes of the Hampton family were too important for Brice not to take it seriously.
After finishing breakfast, Brice called a car to return to Tanta to prepare the things Leo needed.
Leo checked on his phone and learned that there was an Azure Dragon Temple to the north of Blue Flower Town. He decided to visit there first.
Azure Dragon Temple was a Taoist temple built on the northern hill of the town. It was said to have been established from over 1, 300 years ago.
Although the temple was not large, it was known for its beautiful scenery. If someone visited Blue Flower Town, Azure Dragon Temple was a place worth visiting.
The temple was only about three to four kilometers away from the town, so Leo decided to walk there directly.
After walking for over half an hour, Leo entered a rugged mountain path.
In order to develop local tourism, the local government had planned to turn the area around Azure Dragon Temple into a scenic spot with foreign investment. However, for some unknown reason, the project had failed. So, until now, everything along the way to Azure Dragon Temple remained in its natural state.
The mountain path underfoot was paved with green stones, and the smooth surface indicated the passing of many dynasties.
Lush trees surrounded Leo, and unknown wildflowers blossomed in the mountains. Occasionally, the songs of mountain birds could be heard, and breathing in the fresh air made him feel refreshed.
Looking into the distance between the mountains, a temple was nestled among the greenery.
Approaching the temple, Leo looked up along the stone steps. Before his eyes was a desolate and dilapidated temple.
The steps were covered with a thick layer of withered branches and fallen leaves, indicating that they hadn’t been cleaned for a long time.
Soon, a stone tablet in the front right caught Leo’s attention.
He walked over and carefully read the words inscribed on it, “Jade Emperor Temple received an auspicious sign…”
It turned out that the stone tablet recorded the origin of the name Azure Dragon Temple. This temple was called Jade Emperor Temple.
One day, an anomaly appeared in the sky, and a blue dragon descended from the clouds and landed on the ground outside the temple gate. The dragon rested there for a moment before flying off into the sky, disappearing from sight.
The Taoist master who presided over Jade Emperor Temple at the time considered this a sign of auspiciousness and renamed it Azure Dragon Temple.
After reading the inscription, Leo climbed the stairs, and his footsteps on the withered leaves made a crisp sound, which sounded particularly clear and mysterious in the quiet environment.
When he reached the top of the steps, there was a small open space paved with green stones. The space was still covered with a layer of withered branches and fallen leaves. On the left side, there was a stone table broken in half, accompanied by four cracked stone stools.
This desolate scene looked like a setting from a horror movie.
Continuing to walk towards the main gate of the temple, suddenly, a gust of wind blew by.
The weather today should have been mild, at the very least, it shouldn’t have felt cold. But the wind that blew at this moment not only felt bone-chillingly cold but also gave off a sinister feeling.
The withered branches and fallen leaves on the ground twirled and whirled in the wind, as if there were many unseen things around, stirring up the leaves.
Leo’s Divine Awareness spread outward, but he didn’t sense any danger. Despite the unsettling gusts of wind, he continued walking forward.
Soon, Leo discovered another stone tablet, identical to the one at the temple entrance.
After cleaning it briefly, he read the inscription: “Under a darkened sky, 35 Taoist priests of Azure Dragon Temple perished!”
The stone tablet didn’t record the cause of their deaths, and the single character “perished” encompassed many possibilities.
Even with just a bit of common sense, one could guess that these 35 Taoist priests had met with abnormal deaths.
No wonder Azure Dragon Temple was in such ruin. It seemed that there was some hidden danger here, making it a place where no one dared to come.
In recent times, Leo had experienced too many strange and supernatural events, and his nerves had long been honed to be exceptionally tough.
The reason Leo was interested in this place was that the geomancy in the vicinity was quite good.
If he could find a piece of land near the Taoist temple and relocate the Hampton family ancestral tomb there, it would be ideal.
The main gate of the Taoist temple had already decayed and fallen to the ground. Leo composed himself and stepped inside.
A musty smell permeated the temple.
The furnishings inside the temple were simple. Before Leo stood three tall stone statues.
The three statues represented he Three Pure Ones of Taoism: Jade Pure, Supreme Pure, and Grand Pure.
The heads of the Three Pure Ones were covered in numerous cobwebs, but it didn’t diminish the solemn and dignified aura emanating from the statues.
Leo walked up to the statues of the Three Pure Ones and performed an ancient geomancy ritual, bowing deeply.
As Leo lifted his head, he suddenly noticed a strange smile on the originally solemn faces of the Three Pure Ones.
“Not good!” Leo exclaimed inwardly.
Within the strange smile of the Three Pure Ones, the surroundings around Leo started to blur and distort.
Soon, the temple disappeared, and the stone statues of the Three Pure Ones vanished. Leo found himself once again in the leaf-strewn courtyard.
Unlike before, the sky was no longer sunny but shrouded in dark clouds. The atmosphere felt heavy and dim, as if transitioning abruptly from daytime to nighttime.
In front of Leo, a massive stone tablet appeared. It was over three meters tall and more than two meters wide. The most eerie aspect was that the surface of the stone tablet displayed a blood-like red color.
Just as Leo was about to break the stone tablet, a thin red mist began to permeate the surroundings.
Within the hazy red mist, the enormous red stone tablet slowly vanished, replaced by seven Taoist priests dressed in yellow robes.
Although the seven priests had different appearances, one thing was the same-they had cold, expressionless faces, devoid of any signs of life.
A red glow emanated from the depths of their eyes as they looked ominously at Leo.
