Although he considered himself decent-looking, he was far from being someone who turned heads wherever he went.
Moreover, generally speaking, a beautiful woman wouldn’t approach a stranger, especially in such a desolate and remote place.
Seeing Leo hesitate, Elizabeth used provocation, “What’s the matter, Leo? Are you afraid to ride with a powerless woman like me?”
Inwardly, Leo scoffed, “I’d dare with you, let alone your car.”
“What’s there to be afraid of!” Leo moved towards the passenger seat, opened the door, and asked, “By the way, it’s free, right?”
Elizabeth smiled, “Of course, it’s free.”
With that assurance, Leo settled into the passenger seat, closed the door, and fastened his seatbelt.
Elizabeth stepped on the gas pedal, and the car shot off like an untamed stallion.
Leo, always cautious, had probed Elizabeth with his consciousness before getting into the car.
The results showed she wasn’t a Martial Cultivator or a Demon Cultivator, just an ordinary, albeit very attractive, person.
Feeling reassured by this, Leo’s guard gradually relaxed.
Inside the car, a faint scent of perfume lingered, accompanied by soothing soft music with excellent sound quality, creating a truly enjoyable atmosphere.
The intoxicating fragrance, luxury car, beautiful woman, and gentle music all combined to create a unique ambiance.
“Aren’t you afraid I might be a bad person?” Leo suddenly asked.
Focused on driving, Elizabeth maintained a light smile on her face as she replied, “You’re quite cautious. The reason I picked you up is that you don’t seem like a bad person, and I’m driving alone and needed someone to talk to.”
Leo retorted, “How do you know I’m not a bad person? You can’t judge a book by its cover. I might just be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
Elizabeth shook her head confidently, “I’m certain you’re not a bad person. Of course, I can’t say you’re a good person either, just a regular guy.”
“Hmm…?” Leo was taken aback.
Elizabeth chuckled, “At the very least, I noticed your eyes light up when you saw a beautiful woman, and your gaze lingered on a certain area of my body for more than six seconds.”
This remark made Leo awkwardly smile and change the subject, “By the way, why are you driving to such a place? Don’t tell me you’re on a road trip.”
“Just feeling down, needed some fresh air,” Elizabeth brushed it off, glancing at Leo. “Handsome, I have a question for you.”
“What is it?”
“Do you know about the Five Poison Sect?”
Leo couldn’t help but pause, once again questioning Elizabeth’s identity because ordinary women wouldn’t typically ask such a question.
Nevertheless, Leo shared what he knew about the Five Poison Sect.
The Five Poison Sect wasn’t a creation from martial arts novels; in the East Qiannan Region, it had a long history dating back a thousand years.
The Five Poison Sect, also known as the Five Immortal Sect, consists of five venomous creatures: toad, spider, scorpion, snake, and centipede.
Within the Five Poison Sect, the snake, centipede, scorpion, spider, and toad are revered as the “Five Saints.”
The combat between these Five Saints is a crucial training component within the Five Poison Sect.
Arranged in the positions of the five elements-metal, wood, water, fire, and earth-the five poisonous creatures roam around a large plate. After a while, each creature crouches, ready to strike, teeth bared, claws poised, preparing to engage in combat.
The poisonous spider continuously spins silk, weaving a web in a corner of the sandbox.
The scorpion, unable to resist, rushes towards the web, breaking many silk threads before retreating.
The spider, glaring at the scorpion, weaves another web. Before the web is fully formed, the scorpion charges again.
After several rounds of webbing and charging, the scorpion becomes entangled in the spider’s silk, hindering its movements. Its legs stuck together, the scorpion struggles, unable to break free.
Seizing the opportunity, the spider retaliates, spinning thick layers of web around the struggling scorpion. Stealthily approaching, the spider reaches the scorpion and prods it with its leg.
Suddenly, the scorpion flips its poisonous tail and strikes.
The spider, swift as lightning, evades the attack.
After several teasing exchanges, the scorpion, inflamed with anger, lunges forward in pursuit, falling into a trap set by the spider.
Frantically struggling on the web, the scorpion manages to create a large hole. The spider quickly spins more silk, entangling the exhausted scorpion. As the scorpion weakens, the spider pounces, biting it fiercely.
Just as the spider enjoys its meal, a burst of toad venom sprays forth. The poisonous toad breaks through the defense and swiftly rolls up the scorpion from the spider’s web, swallowing it whole.
Enraged, the spider rushes towards the toad.
The toad extends its long tongue, attempting to ensnare the spider, but the spider lunges towards the toad’s tongue.
In a swift movement, the toad retracts its tongue.
The spider slowly crawls to the left of the toad, spits out a thick silk thread, attaches it to the plate, leaps into the air, and lands on the toad’s back, viciously biting it.
The toad swiftly turns around, but the spider has already leaped away.
In a matter of moments, the toad succumbs to the spider venom, lying belly up, dead in the plate.
The venomous spider attacks, biting and devouring the toad.
Meanwhile, the green snake is being chased by the centipede, frantically fleeing around the plate. As it passes the toad, the snake suddenly raises its head, swallows the venomous spider, then bites the toad.
The centipede lunges from the side, its poisonous pincers firmly clamping the toad. Both sides engage in a vigorous struggle.
After a fierce tussle, the snake’s strength wanes, being pulled away by the centipede.
The snake tries to leave the toad behind and escape, but its inward-facing teeth prevent it from regurgitating the contents, forcing it to swallow. In a desperate attempt to escape, the snake is ultimately overwhelmed by the centipede.
Within moments, the centipede kills the snake, poisons both the snake and the toad, takes a victory lap, and revels in its triumph.
This is the scene of combat between the Five Poison Sect’s creatures, and the outcome of each duel varies.
The Miao People use this training to enhance the power of the Five Poisons. Once trained to a certain level, the potency of the poisons increases, offering various horrifying applications.
After listening to Leo’s explanation, Elizabeth nodded and added, “The Five Poison Sect is located in the Miao Wilderness, at the Five Poison Ridge, a mysterious and terrifying organization.”
“The principle followed by the Five Poison Sect is ‘benefit determines friend or foe.’ As long as there is something to gain, they can be used by anyone, regardless of right or wrong, good or evil.”
“Another principle of the Five Poison Sect is ‘those who offend the Five Poison Sect will die without a complete corpse,’ meaning anyone who opposes them will mysteriously meet their end.”
“Within the Five Poison Sect, disciples can use poison against each other. Therefore, they are highly vigilant against one another, constantly trying to develop stronger poisons and ensure undetectable poisoning, making them perpetually cautious.”
Leo grew increasingly puzzled as he listened, “What do these details mean?”
Instead of answering directly, Elizabeth countered, “Do you happen to know about the Witch Sect?”
Leo nodded.
The Witch Sect is divided into White Witches and Black Witches. The elderly witches Kuhlmann and Batu, who Leo had eliminated, originated from the Witch Sect.
