The driver hadn’t had a chance to answer him when he suddenly noticed that the car in front had come to an abrupt stop!
Fortunately, he reacted quickly, instinctively slamming on the brakes and sharply turning the steering wheel. With a loud bang, the side of the car collided with the one in front.
Noel was thrown sideways and crashed heavily into the car door, numbing half of his body. His chest pounded heavily, feeling as if his heart was about to jump out of his throat.
Luckily, the car behind them had maintained a significant distance, managing to stop in time and avoid a collision. Otherwise, the consequences would have been even more severe.
Recalling Leo’s words, Noel’s expression suddenly changed. Ignoring the pain in his half-numb body, he forcefully pulled open the car door and rushed out.
As soon as he saw the scene ahead, his mouth widened in astonishment.
The road ahead had completely paralyzed, with at least a dozen large and small vehicles piled up together. Several of them had overturned, engulfed in raging flames that could explode at any moment.
People inside the cars were desperately crawling out. Many had bloodied faces, while others sat on the ground, weeping and holding their unconscious loved ones. The scene was horrifying.
Noel felt his head go blank, his vision spinning. He couldn’t even move his feet, never expecting such a major traffic accident.
“Mr. Fox! Are you okay?” Ronald rushed over anxiously.
Since his car was behind them and not traveling fast, he wasn’t involved in the accident.
“Mr. Fox!” Ronald saw Noel standing still and immediately grabbed him.
Noel gasped for breath, his eyes blankly staring at Ronald.
“Mr. Fox, was Mr. Guzman’s car in front of you?” Ronald urgently asked, glancing at the accident scene ahead.
“Yes, Mr. Guzman was in front of me!” Noel suddenly snapped out of it, giving himself a start. “Oh no, his car must be involved!”
“Quick! Hurry! Save Mr. Guzman!” Noel shouted, as if he was about to rush in.
Ronald quickly stopped him and said urgently, “Mr. Fox, what can you do by going in? I’ve already notified the fire brigade, and they’ll be here soon.”
“Call for aerial support! We must get Mr. Guzman to the hospital as soon as possible!” Noel suddenly remembered something, grabbing Ronald’s hand.
“Mr. Fox, don’t worry too much. Mr. Guzman’s car has a very high safety rating. He should be fine,” Ronald reassured him, somewhat familiar with Giovanny’s car and not overly concerned.
Noel breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. He looked at the gruesome scene ahead and spoke sternly, “Call the fire department again! Why haven’t they arrived?!”
Shortly after he spoke, the sound of a fire alarm came from a distance, accompanied by the roaring of a helicopter in the sky.
Only then did Noel relax a bit and recall Leo’s words. He couldn’t help but feel afraid, muttering to himself, “Could it be that Dr. Bloomer was right?”
Ronald turned to look at him and said, “That’s impossible. He said Mr. Guzman would have an accident, but now it seems Mr. Guzman should be fine. It was probably just a coincidence. The rain is heavy today, and accidents happen, especially in such conditions.”
“Yes, you’re right.” Noel nodded. In recent years, Langstel had experienced one or two major accidents like this, caused by severe weather conditions.
As long as Giovanny was fine, it would be fortunate amid the unfortunate.
Unexpectedly, at that moment, Giovanny’s assistant stumbled over, covered in blood, trembling as he spoke, “Mr. Fox, it’s… it’s bad. Mr. Guzman had an accident…”
Noel and Ronald trembled, not saying a word, and ran towards the scene without hesitation.

In the lobby of the medical clinic, the television screen flickered, broadcasting an urgent news report.
“Severe accident on Chamree Mountain Road, south of Langstel. The number of casualties is still being determined…”
“As it is known, wealthy businessman Giovanny Guzman suffered serious injuries in this car accident and has been airlifted to Langstel City Hospital for treatment. Further details are yet to be determined…”
As the reporter spoke, the television screen displayed footage of the accident scene.
Leo sighed inwardly. He had warned Giovanny beforehand that this accident could have been avoided.
Now not only Giovanny himself was in trouble, but many others had also paid with their lives.
At that moment, a black car rushed to the medical clinic.
Before the car even came to a stop, the door swung open, and a disheveled Noel stumbled out, his hair and clothes drenched by the rain, looking utterly miserable.
“Dr. Bloomer, please help me!” Noel rushed into the clinic and, upon seeing Leo, grabbed his arm. “I apologize for that night. As long as you help me this time, I will make it up to you in any way you want.”
“Mr. Fox, it’s not the time to talk about this. Lives are at stake. How is Mr. Guzman?” Leo asked.
“It’s serious. Come with me to the hospital and see for yourself,” Noel replied, relieved that Leo didn’t blame him and feeling grateful.
“Tell me the specific injuries to Mr. Guzman,” Leo asked directly, changing his approach.
“His major artery in the neck was punctured by a glass shard. He’s losing a lot of blood,” Noel recalled what the doctor had told him.
“Chasel, bring me the white bottle from my medicine box!” Leo instructed Chasel.
Taking the bottle handed to him by Chasel, Leo quickly followed Noel into the car.
Upon arriving at Langstel City Hospital, the two hurriedly made their way to the emergency room.
Inside the emergency room, a group of surgeons was working to save Giovanny.
Outside the emergency room, a crowd had gathered. Aside from some city officials, most were Giovanny’s people.
Ally was there too, supported by two bodyguards. She covered her face and wailed, deeply saddened.
In reality, her grief was completely an act.
Giovanny’s death was good news for her.
As Giovanny’s lawful wife, she had the right to inherit half of his fortune, and she no longer had to live with that old man.
As the saying goes, the show must go on.
When Ally saw Noel, she treated him as if he were her father’s murderer. She rushed over, grabbed his collar, and cried out in pain, “Didn’t you promise me that my husband wouldn’t have any problems in Langstel? If anything happens to him, how am I supposed to live?!”
“Mrs. Guzman, please calm down. I’ve brought Dr. Bloomer here, and he will definitely be able to save Mr. Guzman,” Noel hurriedly tried to reassure her.
Upon hearing that Leo could save Giovanny, Ally’s heart trembled, and she raised her head, pointing at Leo and saying sternly, “How could I let this bastard save my husband? It’s because of him cursing my husband that he got into trouble!”
“I cursed your husband?” Leo sneered. “It’s clear that you’re the one with a face that brings misfortune!”
“If I’m not mistaken, you must be overjoyed right now. Your husband is dead, and you can inherit his fortune and keep your toy boy,” he added coldly.
