Leo’s escape made the Droughtwalker agitated. Within the pale golden light barrier, a massive black fist appeared, repeatedly striking against the barrier.
With each punch, cracks would form in the barrier, and the monk sitting on the ground would spew out blood.
After ten punches, the pale golden barrier shattered with a thunderous boom. The monk, no longer coughing up blood, slumped to the ground lifeless.
The Droughtwalker burned with fury as it violently smashed its enormous black fist down towards the lifeless monk on the ground…
Leo continued to flee in the direction of a secluded area using the Earth Concealment Technique. He dared not run towards populated villages or cities.
Bringing a formidable creature like Droughtwalker into a city would have unimaginable consequences.
It wasn’t until his Spiritual Power was nearly depleted and he could no longer use his escape techniques that Leo finally stopped.
Looking around, he realized he had entered a forest, but he had no idea of its precise location.
Leo was certain that the Droughtwalker would never let him go, as it had already discovered he was a Cultivator.
As Leo ventured deeper into the forest, he pondered on a way to deal with the Droughtwalker.
Since his current cultivation level was incapable of killing the Droughtwalker, the only option seemed to be suppressing and sealing it.
However, Droughtwalker was no ordinary zombie, and the array Leo could set up with his current cultivation level wouldn’t be enough to seal it.
Zombies were classified into different levels.
There were generally five levels of zombies. The first level was the White Zombie.
After a month of being buried in a graveyard, white fur would begin to grow all over their bodies. These zombies had sluggish movements and were easy to deal with. They were extremely afraid of sunlight, fire, water, chickens, dogs, and especially humans.
The second level was the Black Zombie. After feasting on the blood of cows and sheep for several years, their white fur would fall off, replaced by several inches of black fur.
At this stage, they still feared sunlight and intense fire, and their movements remained slow. However, they were no longer afraid of chickens and dogs.
Black zombies would generally avoid humans and only fed on human blood while they slept.
The third level was the Jumping Zombie. After absorbing negative energy and sucking blood for several decades, their black fur would shed, and their movements would primarily consist of jumping. They were fast and agile, feared sunlight, and were not afraid of humans or any domestic animals.
The fourth level was the Flying Zombie. Derived from the Jumping Zombie after absorbing the moonlight’s energy, Flying Zombies were often zombies that had existed for over a hundred or even several hundred years. They had agile movements, could leap onto roofs and trees, and sucked spiritual energy without leaving any outward signs of injury.
The final level, the fifth level, was known as the Wraith. These zombies were close to being demonic creatures and possessed intelligence.
After absorbing spiritual energy for hundreds of years, the appearance of Flying Zombies became even more ferocious. They were capable of assuming different forms and deceiving people with their ever-changing appearances. They could slay dragons, cause droughts, and summon plague gods, unleashing droughts and spreading epidemics.
In ancient times, when a plague spread alongside a drought, the common people firmly believed that it was the mischief of Droughtwalker.
In addition to the fifth level Wraith, there existed a legendary level of zombies.
Theoretically, these legendary zombies had ascended to the level of great demons, possessing terrifying power comparable to gods. They had cultivated for thousands or even tens of thousands of years.
Legend had it that there was only one such great demon in the land of Atraria.
Only when Leo’s legs grew weak and he felt completely drained did he come to a stop. He now found himself deep within an ancient forest, surrounded by pitch-black darkness that sent shivers down his spine.
He took out his phone to check the time and saw that it was already eleven o’clock at night.
Glancing at the signal display on his phone, he realized there was no signal at all. It seemed that his pleas to the heavens and the earth were falling on deaf ears.
After a brief rest to recover some of his Spiritual Power, Leo began to use his divine sense to explore his surroundings.
Being in the forest, especially at night, was extremely dangerous for ordinary people. One never knew when a nocturnal beast would suddenly emerge in search of prey.
As a Cultivator, Leo naturally had no fear of beasts, but the bloodthirsty mosquitoes buzzing around him were becoming increasingly annoying.
The immediate priority was to find a relatively safe place to spend the night and restore his Spiritual Power. Otherwise, if the Droughtwalker caught up to him, he would truly become a fish on the chopping block.
In the mountains, where could be relatively safe?
Of course, it was a cave.
Although there was no lighting in the cave, the effect of divine sense exploration was even better.
While walking and exploring, after being bitten by numerous mosquitoes, Leo finally found a cave.
The cave wasn’t big, but fortunately, it was dry inside and didn’t have any nauseating odors.
Using the flashlight on his phone, Leo quickly tidied up the cave and found a relatively flat spot to sit cross-legged.
For Leo at this moment, staying awake for one or two nights wasn’t a big issue.
Sitting cross-legged on the ground, Leo began to search his mind for a way to deal with the Droughtwalker.
There were indeed methods to deal with Droughtwalker, but they required at least the cultivation level of a Spirit King to execute the corresponding techniques.
Leo was currently only at the advanced stage of a Great Spirit Master, and it was nothing more than wishful thinking to try to use Spirit King techniques.
With a bitter smile and a sigh, Leo suddenly remembered the embroidered shoes he carried with him.
Using the light from his phone, he looked at the delicate three-inch golden lotus embroidered shoes in his hand, finding it hard to imagine the tall and imposing Droughtwalker wearing such embroidered shoes.
It seemed that this thing was useless. Leo casually threw it aside and began to restore his Spiritual Power.
The night passed silently, and until the next morning, the Droughtwalker hadn’t appeared. However, it didn’t mean that the Droughtwalker had given up on chasing him.
Leo opened his eyes. After a night of recuperation and breathing exercises, his excessively depleted Spiritual Power had recovered by seventy to eighty percent.
Leaving the cave and taking out his phone to check, there was still no signal. Coral must be very worried about him, but he couldn’t go back yet.
After a night of contemplation, Leo had come up with a plan to deal with the Droughtwalker.
Since his cultivation level was insufficient, he could only rely on external objects.
The so-called external objects referred to taking advantage of the timing, location, and using the power of nature to deal with it.
Although the Droughtwalker was formidable, if one looked beyond appearances, it was still fundamentally a zombie.
Zombies were creatures of negativity and malevolence, naturally fearing sunlight. As long as it could be lured into a place with abundant positive energy, dealing with it would be much easier.
What did it mean for a place to have abundant positive energy?
In simple terms, it meant finding a naturally formed extremely positive geomancy location.
For example, if a five or six-year-old child fought against an adult in their thirties, no one would think the child could win. But if you gave the child a handgun, then it would be hard to say who would lose or win.
Being adept at harnessing the power of heaven, earth, and nature could turn decay into a miracle.
As for how to find a place with abundant positive energy, the first thought that came to Leo’s mind was a dragon vein.
However, dragon vein locations weren’t easy to find. Although the land of Atraria, besides the Kunlun Grand Dragon Vein and nine main dragon veins, had numerous branch dragon veins, Leo didn’t have full confidence in using the power of a branch dragon vein to suppress the Droughtwalker.
