Leo nodded and, along with Mrs. Noah and Domingo, escorted Augustine to the elevator.
Back in the hospital room, Leo, Mrs. Noah, and Domingo watched as Mr. Noah devoured a nutritious breakfast before chatting for a while.
By the time Leo left the hospital, it was already lunchtime.
“Leo, thank you!” Domingo smiled sweetly at him with a hint of inexplicable meaning in her eyes fixed on him.
“No problem at all. Don’t mention it,” Leo replied with a smile. It was just an easy task for him to do so.
“My mom is taking care of my dad,” Domingo shook her head and smiled at Leo again. “You’ve done such a big favor for our family; I don’t know how to thank you enough! Can I treat you to dinner?”
Leo hesitated slightly because he had planned on going to Wilde Jewelry Group’s underground warehouse for training.
Seeing his hesitation, Domingo pursed her lips and looked disappointed but then said with another smile, “If you have something else going on today, then go ahead; but let’s make sure we have dinner together some other day.”
“I don’t really have anything else going on right now so let’s go eat,” Leo said smilingly.
Domingo brightened up immediately and exclaimed happily, “I’m treating you to seafood tonight! How does that sound?”
“I’m fine with that.” Leo nodded his head smilingly.

Sophia Cosmetics, Golden Leaf Shopping Plaza
Sophia had only just started working when Fanny stormed into their company accompanied by several people looking very imposing indeed!
“Listen up, employees of Sophia Cosmetics. Sophia Cosmetics will now be managed and operated under the control of the group company. The specific person in charge is Fanny, the Vice Chairman of the group company. Today, we are here for the handover of work. I expect your full cooperation.” A man standing next to Fanny arrogantly glanced at the office area and spoke.
Another man continued, “Where is Sophia? Call her out for the handover!”
Secretary Rylee quickly entered Sophia’s office and reported the situation to her.
Knowing that it was Fanny causing trouble again, Sophia was truly infuriated.
She stood up from her office chair and told Rylee not to be nervous, then walked out of the office with a cold expression.
Upon seeing Sophia coming out of the office, Fanny walked towards her with an air of superiority.
“Fanny, what do you want this time?” Sophia asked coldly.
Fanny raised her chin arrogantly and replied, “Sophia, I’m here today to take over Sophia Cosmetics. Starting from today, Sophia Cosmetics will be directly managed by me, and you are fired!”
“Fired?” Sophia smirked. “Fanny, did a monkey hire you as a clown?”
“Sophia, you’re being arrogant even in the face of death!” Fanny took out a document from her bag and handed it to Sophia. “This is the decision of the board of directors. Take a good look! I advise you to give up struggling and cooperate with me obediently, or else you’ll regret it!”
Sophia took the document and glanced at it before tearing it into two pieces with a cold smile.
Fanny widened her eyes in disbelief. “Sophia, how dare you tear up the board’s decision!”
“So what if I tear it up?”
Fanny’s empty threats meant nothing to Sophia.
“I will make you regret it!” Fanny waved her hand and threatened, “Listen up, anyone who dares to stop me from taking over Sophia Cosmetics, beat them to death! I take full responsibility!”
“Yes!” the three men who came with Fanny echoed in unison.
Fanny stared at Sophia with a threatening gaze and asked again, “Sophia, will you hand over the power or not?”
“Absolutely not!” Sophia, not easily intimidated, responded firmly.
“Very well!” Fanny stepped back a few steps, creating some distance between them. “You guys, teach this insolent woman a lesson and throw her out!”
The three men approached Sophia with fierce expressions.
“What do you want!?” Sophia, after all, was a woman and felt afraid when her personal safety was at risk.
Fanny sneered mockingly, “Sophia, you’ve already been abandoned by the useless freeloader. Don’t act tough in front of me. If you kneel before me and beg, I might consider sparing you.”
Seeing the three men getting closer, Sophia nervously exclaimed, “Fanny, I’ve already called the police!”
“Is that so? Unfortunately, before the police arrive, you’ll still be beaten.” Fanny crossed her arms, showing no fear.
Just as one of the thugs reached out to grab Sophia’s hair, a loud roar echoed, “Stop!”
The thug’s hand involuntarily paused, and Sophia kept retreating in fear.
Then, suddenly, a person rushed forward in front of Sophia and kicked the man who was trying to grab her, sending him flying.
Shortly after, two more people rushed in and knocked down the remaining two thugs.
For a while, the sound of fists hitting flesh and the men’s agonizing screams filled the Sophia Cosmetics office.
Fanny was horrified to see the three men who appeared out of nowhere brutally beating her hired thugs.
Sophia finally realized who the person who came to her aid was-it was Bob and his brothers, Bevis and Chasel.
At that moment, an inexplicable tremor ran through Sophia’s heart.
She knew that Bob’s appearance was not a coincidence.
After effortlessly taking down the three thugs, Bob approached Fanny and delivered two slaps in quick succession.
Fanny was stunned, covering her face with her hands and stepping back repeatedly.
After her initial shock subsided, Fanny finally realized that the person who had suddenly appeared to help Sophia was Bob, a big shot from Langstel’s gray area.
Fanny had seen Bob before when he accompanied Leo to the meeting room at the Henley family estate.
What was going on here?
Why would Bob suddenly appear and help Sophia?
Could it be because of Leo?
A series of questions filled Fanny’s mind.
No, it shouldn’t be. Leo, that useless waste, had already divorced Sophia!
“Why… Why did you hit me!?” Fanny mustered up the courage to look at Bob, wanting to salvage some semblance of dignity in front of the employees of Sophia Cosmetics.
Bob kicked Fanny directly in the abdomen.
Fanny let out a scream of agony as she was sent flying, sliding on the ground for a distance before coming to a stop less than three meters away from the company’s entrance.
Bob walked over and crouched beside Fanny, who was gasping for breath, and asked coldly, “Do you now understand why I hit you?”
