As Leo arrived at the parking lot, he saw his car had been smashed beyond recognition and couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh.
“Quincy is such a ruthless guy. He didn’t even spare his Maserati,” Leo muttered to himself.
“I warned you earlier that you don’t have the right to park here. Don’t you believe me? Now, do you regret it?” The attendant walked over with a smug look on his face. “Mr. Ted is a real wealthy man who doesn’t care about losing his million-dollar Maserati. What are you compared to him?”
Leo shrugged as he looked at his BMW and said, “It’s worth hundreds of thousands of dollars; it really hurts.”
The attendant sneered at him disdainfully and said, “You brought this upon yourself for not listening to me.”
Ignoring the attendant like air, Leo walked out of the parking lot.
Soon after, an ambulance drove in.
The attendant was confused because Derrick had booked the club for tonight; why would an ambulance suddenly show up?
Did someone get hurt inside?
Just then Quincy was carried out on a stretcher by paramedics which left him stunned.
Derrick walked up calmly next to the attendant and asked, “Where’s the BMW that got hit?”
The attendant hesitated before pointing towards it saying, “Over there, Mr. Baldwin.”
“Take me there!” Derrick ordered firmly.
The attendant was puzzled as he wondered why Derrick cared so much about just one smashed-up car?
As they approached Leo’s damaged BMW, Derrick took in deep breaths as if its condition represented their relationship with each other.
“Mr. Baldwin! I already warned that guy not to park here but he didn’t listen,” the attendant explained quickly hoping for some leniency from Derrick.
Derrick smirked coldly and kicked the attendant in the stomach.
The attendant looked bewildered, not understanding why he was being attacked.
“You’re just a fucking attendant. Can’t even earn the respect of BMW drivers. What kind of car do you drive? Does it have anything to do with you?” Derrick questioned coldly.
The attendant didn’t understand why Derrick was angry, but in this situation, all he could do was apologize, “Mr. Baldwin, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
“In your trashy eyes, is driving a luxury car the only thing that makes someone important?” Derrick exclaimed angrily, kicking again.
Only after Derrick left did the attendant dare to clutch his stomach and struggle to stand up.
Derrick’s words echoed in his head, and suddenly, it felt like he had been struck by lightning, frozen in place.
Looking again at the damaged BMW, the attendant suddenly realized something, and his expression turned fearful.
Could it be… could that person just now be the real important figure?
Was it him who injured Quincy!?
Thinking about his previous attitude, the attendant suddenly felt a sense of relief after a disaster.
Early the next morning, Derrick personally drove a brand-new BMW 7 Series to the clinic and handed the car keys to Leo.
Leo entrusted the medical work to Shiloh and drove to the Wilde Jewelry Group.
He went to the Wilde Jewelry Group not to find Coral, but to practice using jade and gemstones in the underground warehouse.
At the intersection, through the car window, Leo saw a somewhat familiar silhouette.
It was a woman wearing a white short-sleeved shirt and jeans. Her long black hair was tied up, giving her a clean, refreshing, and sunny appearance.
The woman held a thermos lunch box and looked around at the passing vehicles. Whenever a taxi passed by, she would wave her hand.
As the saying goes, the more anxious you are, the more things go wrong. Every taxi that passed by had passengers, so even after waiting here for a while, she couldn’t catch a taxi.
This woman’s name was Domingo Noah, a reporter from the city’s television station. She had reported on the scene when Leo rescued someone from the fire.
At that time, this beautiful reporter had chased after Leo for an interview, but Leo had refused, so he had some impression of her.
Just at that moment, a black Mercedes stopped in front of her.
The car window rolled down, and a bald middle-aged man poked his head out with a smile and said to the woman, “Beauty, are you waiting for a car? Let me give you a ride.”
The bald man had a flashy gold chain around his neck, and three of his fingers on his left hand wore gold rings. He exuded a nouveau riche aura from head to toe.
Domingo shook her head and said, “No, thank you.”
After saying that, Domingo walked a short distance ahead, creating some distance between her and the Mercedes.
Just as Domingo was about to hail another passing taxi, the black Mercedes appeared in front of her again.
“Beauty, it’s difficult to get a taxi at this time. Where are you going? I can give you a ride, free of charge, as long as you accompany me for a drink,” the bald man said with a sly smile.
“No, thank you!” Domingo frowned, her tone growing colder. She held her lunch box and continued walking forward.
Suddenly, the back door of the Mercedes opened, and two young men emerged, blocking Domingo’s path.
“Beauty, Lewis and I are trying to spread the spirit of helping others, but you’re not giving us face. It’s really inappropriate,” one of the men spoke.
The other one chimed in teasingly, “Not giving Lewis face would make him angry, and the consequences would be severe. So I suggest you get in the car obediently.”
“Please move aside. I’m a reporter from the television station. If you continue like this, I’ll call the police!” Domingo wasn’t afraid of these two ruffians and spoke in a cold voice.
The bald man, known as Lewis, got out of the car and walked up to Domingo with a smile. He said, “Miss Reporter, the road doesn’t belong to you. The three of us like standing here. If you’re so fond of calling the police, go ahead and see if they care about this matter.”
Such insolent behavior made Domingo’s face turn ugly.
Lewis rubbed the gold ring on his finger with his right hand and threatened, “Beauty, it seems like you’re in a hurry to go somewhere. Once I decide to help someone, I never give up halfway. So I advise you to get in the car, or else there might be a conflict later.”
“Beauty, there aren’t many people as good as Lewis in today’s society.”
“That’s right, if there’s a free luxury car like Lewis’s, why bother with a taxi? Lewis is a well-known entrepreneur in this city. Knowing Lewis, you won’t be at a loss.”
Lewis’s two subordinates flattered along with him.
“You three broke losers, what are you babbling about here?” A voice filled with mockery suddenly entered Lewis’s ears.
Lewis’s triumphant expression instantly turned gloomy. He looked towards the source of the voice and saw a BMW parked in front of his Mercedes. A young man leaned against the BMW, looking at him with disdain.
Upon seeing this sudden appearance, Domingo was initially stunned, but then her eyes lit up, and a look of astonishment appeared on her face.
Clearly, Domingo had recognized Leo.
