I was so overwhelmed and I couldn’t think straight at all.
Clash…
I hit him on the cheek very hard. I gasped at the realization of what I had done. He seemed stunned as well. He stay in that position for a while as if he was frozen. He slowly looked at me there were some unknown emotion in his eyes. I felt hurt by seeinh him like that.
I wanted to say sorry. It was unintentional. I reach out my hand to hold his cheek but he turned his head sideways.
“No one had ever slapped me till today. Not even my parents. ” He said in a cold tone as he looked at me with cold eyes. He then went over to me and opened the car door of my side. He didn’t said anything, he just ignored stay there in the position.
I know what he meant, he wanted me out of the car. I know what he want to say even though he didn’t said it.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it… I.. ” I said but he stopped me in between my apology by raising one of his hand. I looked at his hand, and then I knew it was pointless to say anything to him right now.
“Sorry” I said as I get off the car. I stood at the roadside fir a while looking at the car. He didn’t stopped me nor he asked me to get inside after I get off. I had a bitter feeling in my heart…. After a while of stopping the car there, the car slowly started to move backwards and then with the blowing air, the car also fled away. I looked at the direction he went and couldn’t help but smile and trust me it doesn’t feel good at all.
I moved towards the directon of the main road but still it was so far. This area had big houses and lots of cars, they barely used cab’s so there was no any of those public transport. I don’t even know how much should I walk before I reach the main road. I just know it because the road didn’t had much turns when we came here.
I felt the cold breeze passing me, letting my hair to hang backwards and my long blue skirt to be free backwards. It was already start of the winter that was why the weather was so cold outside. I didn’t have any warm clothes with me at all. I hugged myself and rubbed my arms to fight the freezing cold. But of course it wasn’t helping that much. I was starting to regret coming to the party. I fall in the fountain water and now I was at the middle of the road left to go home by myself at the middle of the night.
But more than regret, I felt bad that I slapped Mr Gold. He left the party and come with me just to take me home and all I did was to slap him. I took off the towel from my head and wrapped it around the shoulders. I looked at myself, the sandal was that much comfortable to begin with. I took it off and tried to walk without it but as soon as my bare foots touch the ground, I felt a freezing sensation. I couldn’t help but to shiver in the cold.
I put on the sandals back in foot and moved as of I had some pain in my leg. Thankfully the area wasn’t dark at all and it had lights here. Even though the lights were on I didn’t felt safe at all. I know it was from the incident of that knight. I was afraid to be alone at night.
I was looking left and right as I move ahead. I was afraid that creature was going to come out of somewhere and attack me like before. .. Back then Beast was there to save me. He wasn’t her now. It has been so long after I had seen him, there was no way he was going to come and save me this time if I was to get into some trouble.
I remember of Mr Gold, the warmness I felt a while ago in his arms, that safe feeling, and now he was gone leaving me alone in the dark night. I couldn’t even get angry with him or curse him at all, it was my fault.
I don’t know what he was going to do now. Was he going to punish me in some way? Will I be again fired? A lo of thoughts started to come in my head.
Just then I steeped on a slippery ground and I lost my balance.
Arhh… My butt hit hard on the ground. It hurt so bad. It felt like I had been hit by something so hard. My hold my butt and tried to get off the ground but as soon as I moved my right leg, I found out my ankle was bleeding and it hurt like hell. My hand left my butt and hold my right leg. I looked at it there was a big cut and it was burning down there. I looked around and there was nothing to clean the blood.
I tore the towel in my body a bit but it was so thick that it wouldn’t get apart at any cost. I tried few more times but I couldn’t tore a small piece of it. The force I was applying and the cold was making my hand hurt instead.
I take a corner of the towel in my hand and pressed hard on my cut. It was painful but I had no other choice. After a while the bleeding had stopped. I torn a pierce of NY dress and wrapped in my ankle.
I somehow got up with sandal in my hand. It was so cold and I was walking barefoot. The ankle injury was adding to it. It was so hard and painful to even takr a step forward. I felt tears coming in the corner of my eyes each time I take a step forward.
The distance between main road and me felt as if it had suddenly extented to thousands of kilometers. I don’t even know if I could make it to the main road today. To add more chaos, I don’t have my phone with me. The one that I had, I already left in the car and Eben it was t be with me it was of no use as it fell on the water.
I was afraid of the dark night, I was shivering with cold and walking with my injured leg when I saw a flashlight ahead of me. It directly entered my eyes so I covered my face with one hand to save my eyes. In a while the car come to my side with flashing speed. I thought it was going to go past me but instead, it stopped right beside me.
I looked at the car and it was the familiar Mercedes that was parked in there. Then the car door opened, revealing the person in there. Inside was a man with cold face. He wasn’t looking at me at all.
I get tears in my eyes at the sight if him. I was sorry to him, I wanted to even apologize to him. But I couldn’t say anything. I felt safe to see him again here. I felt warm to see him caring about me even though I had slapped him.
I moved towards the car. When I took my first step, he turned to look at me and his eyes frowned as he saw me. I smiled at him . It was so embarrassing, he had just left me for a while and now I had already had cut in my leg and my dress was torn at the end. I had wrapped the dress in my leg and because of it I couldn’t wear the sandal. And i was standing in front of him bare footed.
I moved my leg again and walked towards the car. The car was only few steps away if I was normal but now it felt like it was hundreds of meter away from me. I looked at the car door there and smiled with sweats beading in my head.
Mr Gold, after a while of looking me up and down with frowned face he unbuckled his seat belt and opened the car door. He got of the car and came to me. I felt more tears rolling down my cheeks as he came near and near of me.
