I took the paper on the hand and look onto it. I look at the topic and there was an word agreement on the top of the paper. It was not a single paper, it consists of theee to five papers. I read the its contents and was dumbfounded by seeingy name on it.
I read the whole paper and my eyes went wide and wider as I went down. It was the contract paper for the agreement that I and Mr Gold had. I smiled because I never thought he was really going to make an contract paper for it.
I looked up to look at him. He was still there gorgeously talking to Liam about something. He looked more handsome than ever when his hair was blowing from the air…
He was really the man of his words hmm… I thought to myself.
After a while he turned to me and looked me directly into the eyes. I looked down as soon as my eyes met his. He than turned to me and walked towards me with his calm eyes piercing directly into my soul. He sat beside me and I felt my ears being hot at his presence.
“Good morning Mr Gold” I said in nervousness.
“Is this the first we met? I thought i saw you this morning too.” He chuckled looking at me. “Today we are going to the mall” he said casually.
“Mall? For what? ” I asked. As long as I remember, he had sent me a while new wardrobe of expensive looking dresses before we went to the mall. That clothes, which I never had the courage to wear.
“You seems to dislike the clothes, I just want to give you a new set of dresses” he smiled at me.
“No no no. “I shook my hands violently along with my head. ” I don’t need new sets. There are lots of them already in my wardrobe.”
“Then why do you still wear these old clothes? Don’t you like them? ” he asked.
I lower my head , my hands had turned into fist my own nail piercing my meat. ” I… I don’t wore them because….”
“Because. .?” he bent down coming closer to me
I closed my eyes and blurted out. “Because I never had courage to wear those expensive clothes…” I said as hear him. He was still close to me. I slowly opened my eyes and he was just at my side breathing like a snake. “Each of them costs hundreds of dollars. And i can’t afford to pay if I mistakenly tore them off any of them.” I continued. “Please don’t force me to wear those. You can take them back all. I haven’t wore them not even once I promise ”
I hold on my breathe to listen for his answer. He slowly reached out his hand forward. I quickly extend my hand to stop his but he instead withdraw his hand and asked “What are you planning to do? ”
I looked at him dumbfounded then he reach his hands to the table and took the agreement paper in his hand. “I was taking this.”
“But….”
“What were thinking? ” he asked.
“I… Nothing” I shook my head quickly.
He took the paper in his hand and flipped the pages one by one. Then his hands stop the paper at the last one and then his eyes begin to search something on the page and then stopped at a place.
He show me the paper with his hand pointing somewhere on it ” Read it” he said as he looked away.
I looked at the paper on which he was pointing his hand. There was the rules on the paper. It said I have to wear whatever he gaves me to wear and eat whatever he bought me. I looked at him as my jaw literally dropping the floor. What on earth was this man planning to do?
“What do you mean by whatever you bought? ” I asked him.
“Hey hey, don’t over think. I won’t ask you to wear something inappropriate. I asked you to do this because you were not wearing the clothes I gave you. That’s it” he said. “Wear those from now on”
“But.. ” I tried to speak but he raise his hand and stopped me.
“Should I add a point saying you can’t question anything I ask? ” he said with raising his one eyebrow.
“No.. That’s fine” I shook my head and he didn’t said anything anymore. It was still early in the morning. It was then when some people came and knocked the door. Liam went to them and asked them to seat next to us.
They greeted Mr Gold as they sat on the sofa next to them. As they came, Mr Gold was back to his usual self, cold and gloomy.
I smiled and got up from the sofa but he glared me “Sit down” he said patting beside him.
I nervously sat down beside him. He was leaning back on the sofa with one leg folded and one arm resting on the top of the sofa. The people who came were his clients and they talked about something project that I don’t know. I was not even getting what they were talking about. They were talking about some charity, project and then investment. It was so hard to focus on what they were saying since Mr Gold’s hand was just behind of me.
The meeting finished eventually but it felt like years wheb it ended. I felt so pressured in the whole meeting… After they finished their meeting they shook their hands with Mr Gold and went of the office.
After they were gone I went to Liam’s desk. And I went through the papers that I can do work. I know where it was kept so I took some papers .
“Aren’t you my PA? ”
I looked up to him and he was looking at me furious eyes “Aren’t you supposed to be helping me with everything? Shouldn’t you be in my table instead of Liam’s? ” he glared at me as those cold words escape his mouth.
I looked at him and don’t know what to do. It was all that I did till now. I don’t know what he was thinking or talking about. He was behaving such weirdly.
“Go to my desk and give me the audit book of Golden Company.” he said.
I stood there not knowing what to do. Why was behaving this way?
“Fast” he shouted.
I moved my steps towards his table. But the thing was I don’t know which was the audit file or where was it kept. I had never been near to his desk. I went there and begin to search for the file. I have to go through each and every file and open all of them one by one to see if it was the file or not.
Liam got up of his seat and walked up to me.
“Liam…”Mr Gold spoke from behind “Did I ask you to help her out? ”
I looked at him and he was cold. This man was so weird. He once behave so gentle and nice and again the another second he behave totally different and totally cold.
Liam looked at me with worried gave and went back to Mr Gold.
I also withdraw my thoughts from them and begin to look the files one by one. I checked the whole table and then drawer one by one. I was already cursing myself inside. I have checked so many financial thinhs in those files and all. Why do i have to not check this one? Thankfully I got something on the last drawer. “Audit for 2020/21” was written at the out of the file. I took the file and closed the drawer. I went up to Mr gold with the file in my hand. I went up to him and gave him the file.
He took out the pen from his pocket and signed the agreement paper and pushed it in front of me before he took the audit file. He didn’t looked at it he just throw the paper in the table.
Why did he asked to get it if he wasn’t going to go through it?
I rolled my eyes at him in annoyance as I pick up the pen and signed my name on it.
I then pushed the paper to him. He looked at me and then looked away. Right then the door was pushed open and Ms Bella came in with a bright smile on her face.
She sat next to Me Gold “So are you coming tonight? ” I remember that she was talking about the party at her home.
