Oh I really forget Cami won’t be home today. Ethan had asked me to keep her out this morning. Gosh I almost forget about that. Even though, I wasn’t hungry at all. Mr. Gold went to the kitchen and get some warm water for me.
“Tell me are you hungry?” He asked me once again.
“No” I shook my head to him.
“Can you stay alone? I mean you ok with being alone at night?” he asked.
“This is my home sir, of course I can be alone here. I have been alone at some night before too” I said with a small giggle. I felt it quite childish of him to ask me that question. Isn’t that?
“But…” he sat next to me “I’m afraid to leave you alone. What if something like that happened again?” he took a long breathe.
“don’t worry sir, I’ll be fine by myself” I smiled at him.
He nodded after a while. “You go and sleep in your bedroom, I’ll be here.” He said pointing at the sofa.
Gosh was he seriously going to stay here at this sofa? “No, there is no need for that. You go and sleep in your room. I’ll just be fine. And I’ll call you if anything happens, I mean if I feel uncomfortable or something.”
“But.. he tried to protest but I cut him off “I’ll just be fine, don’t worry. Just go and rest.”
He didn’t spoke for a while but at the end he nodded. He get up off the sofa and then caressed my head making my already messed hair even more messier.
I followed him to the door . “Good night Mr. Gold” I smiled at him and he also returned me a gentle smile.
After locking the door I went into my bed and let my body rest for a while.
Willis’s POV
I came back to my room and got my laptop. I had lots of works that were stopped halfway as I need to go to the hospital today. I went one after another. I don’t have to do much because almost everything was taken care by Liam. I went through some papers. It was the papers from the western lake house project. I looked at all the documents. They did a quite a good job, but alas this wasn’t going to let them off the hook. White family had to pay for the misdeed of Thomas White.
After I was done with the papers, I grab the water bottle from the side table and gulped down some water from it. I put the water bottle down on the table and stretch my arms. I guess I need to sleep now.
I went to my bed. I tossed and turned for a long while but my sleep seems to be angry at me. She was miles away from me. I sat on the bed for a while and thought why was I unable to sleep. I thought it was the AC. I turned down it’s temperature. But I felt so cold, and I again raised the temperature. It didn’t helped either, I couldn’t get my sleep to my eyes. I pushed the blanket aside and got out of the bed and went out to the study. I turned on the TV. I switched and switched channel, but I wasn’t able to focus on TV at all. I got frustrated and went out of the door to a balcony aside.
The cool breezes of the night touched my bare body and soon I was calmed down. I took some deep breathe before going back to my room. I look at the phone and it was two of the morning. I then thought of my mate. She must be ok, right? She must be asleep. My mind was full of her pictures.
The incident today at the Sea World, the way reacted to those jellyfish. They made it clear that she had her wolf inside her. It was her wolf reacting to danger. Phew… she hadn’t talked to her wolf to this age, I don’t know what is her name. She don’t even know her name or she exists. But her wolf was trying to come out. She must be desperate. Her birthday is coming soon and she is definitely going to turn on her birthday, how should I make her ready? Should I tell her about us, her, werewolves” will she believe me? Will she be afraid? I can’t scare her but I need to tell her before her transformation. I need to make here ready.
But…..
I need to help her in her transformation, but I can’t be around her after that or else she will know I am her mate. It all was so confusing. I need to stay away from her after her transformation but I need to make her ready for all that. I need to think of a way. I need to do it soon. Her birthday was at the corner.
I got up of the sofa and went out to her room. When I reached to the main door, I heard some sounds inside as if she was afraid of something. I didn’t think twice and kicked the door open and ran inside. Thankfully I didn’t have to kick her bedroom door, it was just closed not locked. I push it open and ran inside to see that my mate was soaked in sweat. She was closing her eyes but her brows were furrowed. she was clutching her bed sheets tightly with her both hands tightly.
I ran up to her and shook her shoulders. “Riley, Riley.. get up Riley. It’s ok. I’m here please get up ok.” I took her in my arms. After a while she slowly opened her eyes and looked at me with almost tearful eyes. I felt my heart tearing apart as she looked at me with those pitiful eyes. I took her in my arms and caressd her hair “Shh, everything is ok. Don’t worry”
Riley’s POV
I looked up and see Mr. gold’s face. I felt safe instantly and I snuggled back in his warm chest. His smell was so sweet and it was making me feel safe too.
This dream, it had been a long time that I saw this dream but it haunted me once more. All thanks to mr gold, he came and wake me up. I don’t know what was the dream for and why was it haunting me again and again. I felt so warm, it was the first time that there was someone to hug me and say everything was ok after I got scared by this dream. I couldn’t control my emotions and some of the tears rolled down my cheeks.
“It’s ok, I’m here. You are fine. Nothing will happen to you, I wont let anything happen to you” he said as he soothed my hair.
I calmed down a lot because of his calm voice. It was making me feel good at once.
He cupped my face and turned me towards him “Was it a bad dream?” he asked.
I nodded at him. and he smiled as he wiped tears off my face. My bad mood was gone and I was feeling good as he took care of me.
“Now you look good, be a good girl and sleep ok? The dream won’t come again” he said.
I quickly shook my head. I was still not over the dream and I don’t want to be alone. I shook my head but I couldn’t ask him to stay. How can I?
“Go to that side” he said pointing at the other side of the bed. I didn’t say anything and went to that side. Then he got on the bed with me. “This side is mine that side is yours. Now sleep I’m here” he said.
I nodded at him with a bright smile on my face. I felt so safe that he was around. I was afraid that he would saw mw smiling so I covered my face with sheet and hide inside.
I would peek him time to time to see if he was asleep or not. He hadn’t covered his face so, I was checking if his eyes closed or not but since he had one hand on the top if his head, I couldn’t see if his eyes were closed or not. I bite my lips in frustration and I felt salty blood spread all over my mouth.
Just then he tossed to my side and let go off his hand from his head. I quickly closed my eyes afraid of him seeing me staring at him.
