Chapter 838 Death of the Frog

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

Leo flicked his right hand, and a blade of energy shot out. The blade shattered the blood light and hit the Night Fox Fire. However, instead of being destroyed by the energy blade, the fox’s black silhouette dimmed slightly.
Then, the Night Fox Fire opened its mouth and let out an eerie and creepy scream before turning into a black shadow that charged towards Leo.
A purple light flashed as Leo summoned his Purple Radiance. The black shadow that was once the Night Fox Fire dissipated into nothingness under its power.
During Leo’s fight with the Night Fox Fire, Three-Legged Divine Frog had already hopped to the edge of Pine Tree Forest.
At this point, Leo’s face turned slightly pale. He had used up most of his Spiritual Power with consecutive attacks. Nevertheless, he didn’t intend to let these three Orientia women escape easily.
After landing on solid ground from mid-air, Leo infused Spiritual Power into his feet and chased after Three-Legged Divine Frog in its jumping direction.
“Maniwa,” Yuriko turned her head to Maniwa and said, “With Three-Legged Divine Frog on our side, we won’t be affected by Pine Tree Forest’s maze.”
Maniwa nodded while supporting Sakai who sat on top of Three-Legged Divine Frog’s back. Her nervous expression also relaxed slightly.
It was quite miraculous that despite hopping around so much; none of them fell off from Three-Legged Divine Frog’s back whether they stood or sat there securely without any trouble at all times!
After another jump from Three-Legged Divine Frog outside Pine Tree Forest came Glass Skywalks’ turn!
Just when it was about to jump directly onto Spirit Crocodile Cliff’s peak, dozens of icy cones suddenly fell from above!
A water film spread out from the surface of the Three-Legged Divine Frog’s skin, enveloping Maniwa and the others in protection. The ice spikes all fell onto the water film, and after melting all the ice spikes, the water film shattered.
Seizing this opportunity, the Three-Legged Divine Frog gathered its strength and leaped.
The jumping ability of the frog was terrifying, and the Three-Legged Divine Frog leaped directly from the bottom of the Spirit Crocodile Cliff to the top.
However, despite Yuriko’s calculations, she didn’t anticipate that Leo would use an earth spike technique. Just as the Three-Legged Divine Frog landed, several sharp and pointed earth spikes abruptly emerged from the ground.
The massive Three-Legged Divine Frog’s abdomen landed directly on the earth spikes…
The result was obvious, the Three-Legged Divine Frog’s intestines were ruptured and its black blood sprayed everywhere. Yuriko cried out in anguish, heartbroken over her frog.
“Yuriko, we need to go now!” Maniwa urgently shouted.
With no time to waste, they had to escape. All their losses would be for nothing if they didn’t make it out alive.
Yuriko snapped out of her grief and grabbed onto both Maniwa and Sakai as they jumped off the frog’s back and ran towards the mountains.
Leo appeared at the top of Spirit Crocodile Cliff but he didn’t immediately chase after them. Instead, he watched as the massive three-legged frog died on the ground before him. To his surprise, its body rapidly shrank until it was only a normal-sized bullfrog.
Picking up the dead frog from the ground, Leo found a pearl-sized elixir inside its belly.
Regardless of whether they are exotic beasts, spiritual beasts, demonic beasts, or ninja beasts, elixir is a valuable resource that can be used to feed Thunder Wing Beast cubs, enhancing their strength.
When Leo raised his head, the figures of Maniwa and the others had already disappeared.
Leo didn’t actually intend to exterminate the three of them. The reason was simple: his current cultivation level wasn’t sufficient to support such actions. Through the confrontation with the Orientia female ninja who summoned the Three-Legged Divine Frog, Leo learned that Orientia ninjas were not to be underestimated, and the Harumitsu family likely had even more powerful individuals than that female ninja.
If he killed Maniwa, it would lead to irreversible consequences. The Harumitsu family would retaliate fiercely, endangering the safety of those Leo cared about, even if he himself wasn’t afraid.
Only by diligently cultivating and attaining absolute strength and power could Leo face anyone or any force without fear. He hoped that this lesson would make the three Orientia women remember not to provoke him in the short term.

In a certain place on the outskirts of the city, inside a three-story building.
Maniwa stood by a bed, looking at the grim condition of Sakai lying on it, her expression extremely grim.
Yuriko sat beside the bed, examining Sakai’s injuries with a distressed expression.
“Yuriko, how is Sakais condition?” Maniwa asked in a deeply concerned tone. Sakai had been Maniwa’s bodyguard for over ten years, and there was undoubtedly a bond between them.
Yuriko withdrew her right hand, her expression somber. “Maniwa, Sakai sacrificed her own stealth power, and most of her meridians are likely severed. She needs immediate medical attention. Even if she recovers, Sakai won’t be able to practice stealth techniques again.”
“Leo…” Maniwa clenched her teeth, unable to contain her anger. As Kuki’s granddaughter, her status in Orientia was high, yet she had suffered two consecutive losses at the hands of an Atraria individual.
Once in the capital, she was slapped by Leo, and today, not only did she flee in embarrassment, but her close bodyguard also suffered severe injuries.
“My Three-Legged Divine Frog also died in that damn guy’s hands!”
Yuriko’s hatred towards Leo surpassed even Maniwa’s. The Three-Legged Divine Frog was obtained by Yuriko in a secret realm in Orientia. After that, the realm closed, making it nearly impossible for Yuriko to obtain another Spirit Communication Ninja Beast in the future.
“Maniwa, that Atraria guy Leo is much stronger than I imagined. Atraria’s Yin-Yang Spellcraft is indeed magical,” Yuriko expressed extreme unwillingness. Leo’s summoning of heavenly thunder while hovering in the air was a technique Yuriko had never seen before. Even the Earth Ninja elders in her family might not be able to perform such extraordinary attacks.
Maniwa pondered for a moment, a cold light flashing in her eyes. “Whether the Harumitsu family can advance further, whether Orientia ninja arts can make a breakthrough, all depends on this Leo from Atraria. To fully grasp the essence of his Yin-Yang Spellcraft, it is necessary to change our strategy against him.”
“Change our strategy against him?” Yuriko didn’t quite understand Maniwa’s meaning.
Maniwa continued, “According to the information we obtained, Leo’s parents mysteriously disappeared when he was five years old. Raised by his grandmother, he is essentially an orphan. Now, he has married a woman named Sophia from the Henley family, a second-rate family in Langstel. In other words, he has attachments in Atraria. We can sever those attachments first and then find a way to make him ours.”
