I looked at the birth of date and counted. She was seventeen year and ten months. She was soon going to be eighteen.
It means she was going to feel her mate bond in next two months. Her eighteenth moon night would make her realize she was my mate. She was going to find out.
Arrhhhhhhh my head started to hurt at the thought.
I only thought to control about my wolf and forget that she’ll find out it too. What am I going to do if she finds out. I need to deal with this too.
While I was lost in my own thoughts I got a call from Liam.
“Hello” I picked up the phone.
“I have done the work you said me to ” he said through the phone.
“Is she recruited for the job? ” I asked.
“Yes sir, Riley Wilson is hired in the finance department. She will soon get to know about this. ” Liam said.
“Ok” I hung up the call. At least for now, I can control my beast.
…. .. .
Few days were gone after she was recruited, I had never been to office. I didn’t knew what she was doing..
After some day, I feel my wolf waking up again. A surge of energy ran through my veins. I feel much more strong then before.
“Ray” I called out for him.
He was so angry, I can feel his feelings… He glared at me… His eyes were red with anger.
“Ray” I called him again.
“Where is she? ” he talked to me but he was asking about her mate again.
“I… I don’t know… “I said hesitantly… I really don’t know where she was at this time or what she was doing…
“She needs protection, she needs us. She will be weak each moment she is far from us. She have to suffer a lot Willis. Why don’t you understand…. Why are you being so cruel to her just for a promise ” Ray said very calmly. To be calm was rare from him. He must be suppressing his anger for his mate.
“I know… ” I said.
“Then let’s just go to her and tell her that we are her mate… Let’s go o her. I want to see her… I want to make her happy,, I want to see her smile… “Ray said with lots of excitement on his eyes.
“No”i denied.
“what? ” he asked me with confused look.
“I won’t never allow you to break that promise ” I said to him. At least he should know why I made that promise. At least he should support me to fulfill that promise .
“And I won’t allow you to do this to our mate ” Ray said and then he tried to gain control over me. He was so powerful that I had sweats over my head.
“No Ray don’t do this ” I said.
“I love you and always support you Willis but not on this… I won’t allow anyone to hurt her not even you” he growled at me.
He was using his powers to suppress me to gain the control just for his mate.
“Stop it Ray, or I’ll… ” I could no more control him so I tried to threaten him.
“What… ” he was so in rage.
I was almost turning into my wolf form. If I turn I won’t be able to be Willis again. Ray will for sure get to his mate. No.
“I’ll use that powder again. ” I said. “Not only you Ray, I’ll use that powder to you and her wolf”
His expression became worse. He was not angry but hurt and scared. I know he will care about his mate the most. I was not feeling good to make him this sad but I had no choice. I can’t let him took over…. Or the promise will be gone.
“If I am never going to see her again, there is no point of living” he said going far away.
“No… No Ray, come back… don’t go. ”
I tried to call for him but he hide from me and even blocked to have any contacts from me.
And this was what I was always scared of. Being alone. This was the most horrible dream coming true… I no longer feel my wolf inside me.
“Ray”

“Ray”
“Ray”
He didn’t responded back to me.
I don’t know what to do now. I have kept her aside from stopping my wolf to get mad and overruling. I need to stop him from doing something nasty to break my promise.
But now the situation was just opposite. He wasn’t mad or angry at me but he was blocking me and hide somewhere. All I feel now was emptiness.
I went to the living room and sat on a sofa. In front of me was Riley’s photo. She was smiling on the top of her file. I took the file in my hand. And look at the photo.
I looked at it for a while then throw it back on the table. She was not of any use. She didn’t help me at all.
I took a marker from the table and made a cross on her photo.
“You are useless” I crossed her photo once more.
Then I felt some movement inside me. My wolf was listening to me or maybe he was peeking at me.
I smiled at that and again I did that .
“You are not of any use ” I use the black marker all over her face except for her eyes. I left that there on purpose. But except for the eyes I made sure everything was hided properly. I even blocked her name and age or anything…. I mean everything from the information.
“What are you doing? ” Ray came out of his hiding place and asked.
“Nothing, just some useless things” I said and acted as if I was going to hide her eyes too… But in real I wasn’t going to do so.
“Who is she..? ” Ray asked looking at the photo on the file.
I didn’t answer his question. I just shook my shoulders.
He looked at the photo carefully and then his eyes went wide. He was shaking….
“She… She… She is our mate” he said through his shocked expression.
I didn’t answer at that too and just let him guess whatever…
“Where did you get that? ” he said with excitement.
I didn’t answer at that too.
“Why did you covered her face ?” this time he has anger in his voice.
“Wait… You know about her? ” he became excited all of sudden.
“Where is she? Where does she lives? ” Ray started asking questions one by one. He has forget all the fight we had just a moment ago and started talking as if nothing happened.
“Wanna see her? ” I asked Ray.
He quickly nodded his head.
“But you are not allowed to do anything except for looking her ” I said.
He stopped for a while. Then after few minutes he replied.. “At least I can see her.”
I got up and took the wolf powder with me.
“You don’t believe me? ” he said frowning.
“Just in case , I need ” I laughed at him.
I came out of my house and went to office in my white Mercedes.
I reach to the office in a while, Ray was more excited more than me.
When we reach the office, it was already afternoon and it was a time for break in my office.
I didn’t go to the office insteadi directly went to cafeteria. I looked for her everywhere but she wasn’t there.
“Hello sir, what do you want to have ? ” main chef of my office came to me and asked “Please sir this way , have a sit and I’ll go get your order ” he said showing me a table.
I looked at the table, it was a table at the corner. It seemed quite peaceful.
“I want so seat somewhere, from where I can see every corner of the cafeteria. ” I saod
He thought for a while then nodded.
“Let’s go , I have a place as your interest ” he said.
I followed him from behind. He took me to inner corner of the kitchen. It was a cabin and there was a table and sofa turning towards cafeteria.
I went there. It was at a height and really I could see everyone in the cafeteria.
I sat there looking at that direction.
“Sir, you need anything? ” the chef asked.
“No, nothing. Don’t talk to anyone about me being here. Keep it a secret. ” I said to him.
“Yes sir, I won’t ” he said as he went out of the cabin.
I sat there waiting for her.
