“It seems I have no choice. How about this? I’ll let you stab me three times. If after the third time, I’m still unharmed, then you must disappear from my sight and never appear in my villa again,” Leo said calmly.
Chad’s eyes widened at Leo’s words, his expression twisted with anger. “You’re so arrogant! You said it yourself, don’t regret it if I end up killing you!”
“I won’t regret it. Come on,” Leo replied confidently.
Leo stood still as Chad muttered something under his breath before suddenly a bright light shone from Chad’s sword turning into a beam of light.
Chad was surprised that Leo remained calm and collected despite the situation. He lunged forward with his sword but was thrown back by an unseen force, causing him to almost lose hold of his weapon.
Chad was shocked by what had just happened but tried not to show it as he laughed and said, “You’re pretty good! That was just a test though; let me try again.”
Leo smiled and replied, “Sure thing! You have two more chances left.”
Chad gritted his teeth in frustration as he summoned all of his strength, causing even the clothes on him to ripple like waves on water. The light from Chad’s sword grew brighter than before.
Leo showed a hint of surprise but remained calm nonetheless, knowing that no matter how impressive Chad’s moves were, they were nothing compared to him.
With a loud roar, Chad sent out a white beam towards Leo which hit him directly on top of the head, causing an explosion-like sound that echoed throughout the area. However, contrary to what everyone expected, only Chad ended up spitting blood while flying backward through the air before landing heavily onto the ground below with a thud sound.
Despite being injured badly enough, he didn’t make any noise instead choosing only one word, “You…”
Leo walked over smilingly saying, “I thought we agreed not be cheap? It was clearly your sword that stabbed me yet here you are bleeding instead?”
Pain etched across every inch of Chad’s face, making speaking difficult for him as he asked incredulously, “How is this possible?! How can your cultivation be so strong?”
At this moment, he was looking at Leo and felt like looking at some kind monster.
“I practice the Golden Bell and Iron Cloth technique, impervious to knives and guns. You can stay here as long as you want, I’m not keeping you company!” Leo waved his hand at him and turned around with a smile.
“I am Chad, the number one swordsman in the world, who dominates Heavenly Mountain, Grimwall Mountain and Midview Mountain. I have offered my sword to the emperor and my rivers flow into the sea. The world’s number one sword – Chad!”
Leo had not walked far when he heard Chad’s annoying voice behind him again.
He saw Chad put his precious sword on his shoulder with his chin slightly raised up at a forty-five degree angle, looking very arrogant.
Leo turned around helplessly and shrugged, “You’re so cheap! What do you want?”
“Hmph! You want to leave after just one fight? There’s still one more sword left,” said Chad unhappily.
In this vast world full of strange people, Leo had never met someone like this weirdo before. It seemed that if he didn’t let him stab another sword tonight, he wouldn’t be able to rest peacefully.
Leo could only stand still where he was while yawning, “Come on then but hurry up.”
“Hmph hmph! This time I’ll show you how powerful my Soul Breaking Sword is.” As soon as Chad finished speaking, he threw his sword into mid-air where it hung suspended in space.
Ha! He knew how to control a flying sword too? Leo hadn’t expected that from someone like Chad!
Just as Leo was about to activate his Spiritual Power for defense though, the hovering blade suddenly changed direction in mid-air before shooting off into some nearby trees with lightning speed!
Looking at Chad, who was running after his precious sword, Leo couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Leaving behind a parting remark, Chad said, “We’ll meet again someday!”
Hearing this, Leo was almost on the verge of collapsing.
Finally, he could go back and get some rest.
“Stop right there!”
As soon as Leo turned around to walk away however, he heard two loud shouts coming from behind him, two different voices shouting together!
Leo felt like going crazy.
Slowly turning back around again, he saw two guys wearing apricot-yellow Daoist robes standing behind him; one tall guy towering over 2 meters tall while another short guy barely reaching up past 1 meter !
How short exactly was that little guy?
Well… let’s put it this way:dwarf-like! Yes, that little!
And how tall exactly was that big guy?
Well… let’s put it this way: his height exceeded even that of Leo by an entire head! That height must have been over 2 meters easily.
These two guys dressed in identical apricot-yellow Daoist robes formed quite a striking contrast between them. At first glance, they looked quite comical indeed.
Up to this point, Leo was wide awake. He didn’t understand why these odd characters had come to find him, and how they had found him. The short Taoist scrutinized him for a while before speaking, “You are Leo?”
Leo nodded, “Yes, who are you and why are you looking for me?”
The tall Taoist said, “I am Bruce Tall, and this is my junior, Bruce Short. We heard you insulted us, so we’ve come tonight to demand an explanation.”
More and more bizarre characters seemed to be emerging. The tall Taoist was named Bruce Tall, while the short Taoist was named Bruce Short.
“I don’t know you, and I haven’t insulted you,” Leo felt an urge to curse at them.
The two Taoists exchanged a glance, clearly skeptical of Leo’s denial.
Bruce Tall said, “Your insults have been widely spread. Don’t deny it.”
“That’s right,” Bruce Short chimed in.
Leo was speechless, “Then please, tell me how I insulted you?”
Bruce Tall pointed at himself, “You called me tall. I detest being called tall.”
Bruce Short pointed at himself, “You called me short. I detest being called short.”
Leo was at a loss. These two were not only odd but also eccentric.
“How do you want to resolve this?” Leo asked.
“It’s simple. We’ll teach you a lesson. Your insults have caused us real harm, and it’s irreparable. Only by teaching you a lesson can we feel a bit better,” Bruce Tall responded.
Leo humbly smiled, “I only know a little self-defense. I wouldn’t dare compare myself to you. Let’s say I lose, and that’s it.”
Bruce Tall protested, “I, Bruce Tall, will never go back on my word.”
Bruce Short echoed, “Nor will I!”
“Bruce Short, let’s not waste time. Let’s take him down, or we won’t find peace!”
“Alright!”
“Please, there’s no need for this. As the saying goes, gentlemen settle disputes without resorting to violence,” Leo pleaded.
The two simultaneously replied, “We are Taoists, not gentlemen!”
“Behold my mighty strength!”
“Behold my thunderous power!”
The shouts were loud, but no altercation ensued. Bruce Short inspected Leo and asked, “Where’s your weapon?”
Leo smiled and reached into his pocket, pulling out a pocket knife, “Here it is.”
