With the collective efforts of Jessica’s friends, they finally came up with a brilliant idea.
The brilliant idea was to create a scandal around Leo, making Sophia believe it to be true. This would serve as a breakthrough, leading her to initiate a divorce with Leo.
This idea was indeed ingenious, saving them from the futile effort of talking endlessly without any effect. With Leo’s name removed from the property deed of the No. 9 villa on Cloud Dream Mountain and replaced with Sophia’s, the feasibility of this plan became extremely high.
Even without Leo, Sophia’s income was more than enough to maintain the No. 9 villa. Though Jessica was eager to know how much money Leo had secretly saved, taking revenge and venting her anger was more satisfying than any amount of money.
To achieve that, the most straightforward method was to make Sophia divorce him, reducing Leo to a desolate existence.
Moreover, once Sophia became single again, even in a second marriage, she could definitely find a wealthy person to marry. Maybe she could even marry into a second-rate or even first-rate noble family, improving her quality of life.
The more Jessica thought about it, the more restless she became. She decided to start implementing this plan from tomorrow.
Perhaps there was an irreversible bug in Jessica’s mental program. No matter what changes Leo made, in her eyes, he was always a useless freeloader.
If there were truly blind people in the world, Jessica might be one of them.
Although the dinner was rich and delicious, the heavy atmosphere made it less enjoyable.
After dinner, Leo and Sophia helped Nora tidy up a bit, then went outside for a walk.
An evening stroll after dinner was a routine for Leo and Sophia if there were no other matters.
The air on Cloud Dream Mountain was excellent at night, free from the pollution of car exhaust in the city.
Upon returning to the bedroom after the walk, just as Sophia was about to take a shower, her phone rang.
The caller ID displayed Amaya’s name.
After answering the call, Sophia said to Leo, “Leo, Amaya invited us to dinner tonight. If you’re free, would you like to join us?”
“No problem,” Leo replied without hesitation.
Leo had learned about Amaya’s extraordinary background during their time in the Northern Desolation Mountains. He hoped that tomorrow’s dinner would remain free from any ulterior motives.
“Where are we eating?” Leo asked.
Sophia playfully smiled, “It’s a high-end place. Can you guess?”
“I have no idea,” Leo shrugged.
“At the Moon Palace!” Sophia revealed the location.
The Moon Palace was one of the top two restaurants in Langstel, a members-only venue. Ordinary wealthy individuals had no chance of entering, requiring a reservation three days in advance.
Sophia expected to see a bit of surprise on Leo’s face after revealing the location, but all she saw was a calm expression. Leo, having a rough understanding of Amaya’s background, knew that whether it was the Moon Palace or the top restaurant in the capital, it posed no difficulty.
“You should have heard of the Moon Palace, why no surprise?” Sophia asked, a bit puzzled.
Leo, not wanting to disclose what he knew about Amaya at this moment, playfully countered, “It’s just a restaurant; why should I be surprised?”
“Oh, really? Then, how about taking me to the Moon Palace every day from now on?” Sophia teased.
Sophia’s cute and playful expression had a charming effect that tickled Leo’s senses.
“No problem. However long you want to eat, it’s fine!” Leo confidently declared.
Sophia couldn’t help but chuckle, “You, don’t pretend to be so extravagant. We’re not from some rich and noble family. We don’t have the financial ability to dine at the Moon Palace every day. Besides, it’s not a place you can get into just with money.”
Leo, unconcerned, retorted, “In my opinion, this so-called unique business model is just a form of alternative marketing. Anyway, if you want to eat there, I can take you every day.”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll bankrupt you?” Sophia joked.
Leo grinned, “Bankrupting me is not what I’m afraid of; I’m just concerned about your weight…”
“What’s wrong with my weight? Oh, you’re saying I’m fat?” Sophia retorted, not pleased, and reached out to scold Leo.
Leo, however, caught Sophia’s hand, pulled her into his arms, and then kissed her…
The next day, after dropping Sophia off at work, Leo went to the clinic as usual.
This morning, two young women suddenly appeared at the clinic. One of them had delicate features and a calm and elegant temperament, exuding the aura of an ancient noblewoman.
“Miss Meredith?”
Leo was somewhat surprised by the appearance of this woman. Yes, she was Baldwin’s sister, Marina.
Leo remembered that she had returned to the capital after he cured her. Why had she come to Langstel again?
“Dr. Bloomer, hello,” Marina greeted Leo with a graceful smile.
Leo asked Marina to sit down, instructed Sakura to serve tea, and then inquired, “Miss Meredith, you look well. Is there something you need today?”
Marina replied, “I came to Langstel with my father and brother to visit an elder. I remembered your life-saving favor, so I came to express my gratitude.”
“Miss Meredith, no need for such formality,” Leo smiled.
Marina signaled Sandra, who was standing behind her.
Understanding the signal, Sandra quickly took out a sandalwood box from her handbag and placed it on Leo’s consultation table.
Marina gestured for Leo to open it and said, “Dr. Bloomer, this is a gift prepared specifically to thank you.”
“Miss Meredith, your brother has already paid your medical fees. I cannot accept a gift,” Leo refused.
Marina smiled gently, “Dr. Bloomer, don’t rush to decline. Open it and take a look first.”
Leo could only reach out and open the sandalwood box.
Upon seeing the contents of the box, Leo couldn’t help but be stunned.
The box contained a set of silver acupuncture needles. The needles varied in length and thickness, with the only notable difference being the dragon-shaped carvings on their tips.
If examined closely with a magnifying glass, the dragon heads on the tips of these silver needles were intricately carved, each one different from the others.
Not to mention anything else, just the craftsmanship of these dragon carvings on the needle tips made this set of silver needles priceless.
“This is… the Golden Dragon Secret Silver Needle!” Leo exclaimed, stating the name of this set of silver needles.
