“Don’t.” Henry still hoped to improve his relationship with Leo. “Mr. Bloomer, I’m sincere about this. Just let me do something, otherwise, my heart will feel empty. I can sweep the floor, wipe tables, anything…” He was determined to stay at the clinic.
“Alright, I’ll arrange something for you. Sit at the cash register for now. When your leg gets better, we’ll find other tasks for you,” Leo said, accepting the free labor. “Thank you, Mr. Bloomer!” Henry ecstatically replied, heading to the cash register with a spring in his step. His happiness seemed as if he had just been appointed as the guardian of a treasure vault.
Leo chuckled, shaking his head. He was about to go to the backyard to adjust his breath when another group of people arrived.
This group was led by Nelson, who swaggered towards the clinic, a cigar dangling from his mouth. Upon seeing Leo, he sneered, “Kid, let’s settle our accounts today.”
Behind Nelson, a dozen or so people rushed in.
“Mr. Bloomer!” Henry immediately stepped out from behind the cash register.
Henry’s appearance made Nelson slightly puzzled. He knew Henry’s background very well, and hearing him address Leo as “Mr. Bloomer” surprised Nelson. He couldn’t figure out what made Leo, who owned a small clinic and became a son-in-law, so exceptional.
“How do you want to settle the accounts?” Leo coldly observed Nelson.
Nelson pointed to the ground beneath his feet. “Kneel in front of me, kowtow and apologize!”
Without a word, Leo’s mouth curled into a cold smile. He took a step forward, grabbed Nelson’s hair, and ruthlessly pressed his head against the table.
Leo’s speed and strength were such that not only Nelson but even Henry and Sakura couldn’t stop him.
With a loud “bang,” Nelson’s head collided harshly with the table. A stream of blood seeped from his forehead, and the cigar dropped from his mouth.
Leo didn’t stop there; he reached for the fallen cigar and pressed it onto Nelson’s face.
“Ah…!” Nelson let out a sound resembling a pig being slaughtered.
In Nelson’s wail, Leo shoved the cigar into his mouth.
Another cry echoed.
The whole scene was stunned!
After a momentary shock, one of Nelson’s henchmen shouted, “Kill him!”
Sakura and Chasel intervened. In just a few minutes, all of Nelson’s associates were lying on the ground, moaning.
Enduring the pain, Nelson angrily shouted, “Leo, dare to touch me, have you thought about the consequences?”
“Smack!”
Leo directly gave Nelson a slap, then kicked him out of the clinic.
Nelson, panting heavily, climbed up from the ground in a sorry state, clutching his head, and yelled, “Call people, call everyone here!”
Though not a top-tier big shot, Nelson had been domineering for more than twenty years.
Starting from beating all his classmates at the age of six, bullying men and women in college, he had never suffered a loss. Occasionally encountering a few ignorant local bullies didn’t change the fact that he trampled them mercilessly underfoot.
A few years ago, at a club in Glathe, a brash wealthy young man dared to compete for the spotlight with him. Nelson directly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man’s head.
Who did he fear? He had never been afraid of anyone.
So, Leo’s actions today completely infuriated Nelson. A small doctor who became a son-in-law and dared to recklessly attack him without considering the consequences left Nelson so enraged that he forgot about his wounds. One of the guys who came with Nelson took out his phone and made a call.
“Mr. Bloomer, although Nelson is not a local, his influence in Langstel is not small,” Henry approached Leo. “Should I call some people over?”
Leo’s recent actions fueled Henry’s excitement, and he wanted to gather people to make a big scene. If they could crush Nelson this time, his status would rise significantly.
Sakura couldn’t help but knock on Henry’s head. “Stop stirring up trouble!”
“Mr. Bloomer, do you want me to call Master Torajiro?”
Leo’s actions worried Sakura, fearing that things might get out of control.
“No need,” Leo smiled faintly. “Calling for help over stepping on Nelson? I’d rather find a piece of tofu to run into.”
Henry gave a thumbs up. “Mr. Bloomer is mighty.”
Sakura nodded without further advice.
About ten minutes later, over ten cars pulled up outside the clinic. Dozens of people emerged, armed with various weapons.
Seeing so many people arriving, Nelson suddenly felt invincible. His arrogance soared, and he stood tall with a radiant expression. At this moment, he felt like a god ruling over mortals.
“Leo, I’ll give you one last chance,” Nelson stared at Leo arrogantly. “Kneel, kowtow, apologize, break your own legs, and give Tina to me. I’ll spare you.”
Leo squinted his eyes. “I’ve decided now – to break all four of your limbs.”
“Arrogant!” Nelson laughed in anger. “You’ll soon find out the consequences of offending me.”
At this moment, a few more cars arrived, and the doors banged open. Ten or so burly men stepped out, appearing to be professional thugs or bodyguards.
A middle-aged man finally emerged from the last car, dressed in a beige suit, holding prayer beads, his face glowing red. This man was Nelson’s uncle, Abraham.
“Uncle!” Nelson hurriedly went to greet him. “A brat without eyes dared to provoke me. He’s extremely arrogant, not only asking me to call people but also wanting to break my hands and feet. I mentioned that my uncle is you, and he dismissed it as irrelevant.”
Nelson exaggerated the situation, hoping to make Leo look worse.
The reason Nelson brought in Abraham was to crush Leo comprehensively, leaving him no chance to turn the tables.
Nelson’s companions, seeing Abraham’s arrival, also looked at Leo with fiery eyes. This was the real deal.
Hearing Nelson’s words, Abraham’s eyes shot a cold light. Holding the prayer beads, he sneered, “Which idiot dares to break your hands and feet? Doesn’t want to live anymore?”
“Me!” Leo walked up with his hands behind his back. “Any objections?”
Leo’s words left Nelson and his group in stunned silence, gaping at him.
Who was this guy, and what did he rely on to dare to confront Abraham, who had the upper hand in numbers?
Absolutely seeking death!
“You damn bastard, daring to challenge me, do you want to die…,” Abraham was infuriated, advancing forward to face Leo.
Their eyes locked.
Initially, Abraham stood with his hands behind his back, overbearing and arrogant.
However, the moment he saw Leo, he was scared out of his wits. His whole mind buzzed, experiencing a brief moment of daze!
