“Thank you for saving my life.”
I went forward and hugged him. I feel so safe and warm in his arms.
“Grrrr… ” he growled.
I parted myself with him.
” What happened ? Don’t you like me hugging you? ” I asked him. He didn’t make a move nor growled this time.
” Do you understand my language ? ” I know he won’t. But I asked him as I was a silly girl.
“Grrrr… ” he growled again.
“Don’t growl again and again. I’ll feel scared. ” I said. And he lower down his head as if he was feeling bad, as if he was hurt.
I felt like he can understand me so I tested him ” You are a good wolf ” I looked him waiting for his reaction. And he slowly lift up his head and looked at me.
“You? You understand my words right? ”
“Grrrr… ” he growled looking sideways.
“why did you save me? ” I asked him.
“Grrrr… ” he again growled.
“Ahh stop growling . I can’t understand your growl. ” I said turning my head to a side.
There was jungle here but it isn’t bushy that much. I wondered where he lived? I wondered what was his name? What should i call him?
” What should I call you? ” I asked him.
“Grrrr… ” again his stupid growl.
“What is your name? ”
“Grrrr… ” he growled as usual.
“You growls whenever I asked something like growl is your answer. ” I complained.
“What? Right, answer. Growl is your anwer. ”
I turned towards him and said ” I know you understand me. Just growl when you are saying yes. OK? ”
“Grrrr… ” he growled.
“Hahaha I liked it this time. It is your yes. ”
“Grrrr… ” he growled.
“Now, what should I call you? Let me think…. You are so fierce like a beast… ”
“Grrr…. “he growled in the middle of my talking.
“what you liked the name. But which one beast ?”
He quickly growled again. He really like to be called beast?
“Beast? OK no problem. If you like this name I’ll call you so. Beast ”
He lowered his head.
“uhh why are you shy now. Beast what happened? ”
I asked him.
“Grrrr… ” he growled in answer again.
“looks like you like your name. Can we be friends? ”
He didn’t growl for a while. I looked at him. I think he wanted to say something. But what? Don’t he not want to be my friend? I feel something inside me sad and I lower my head
“Grrrr….. ”
I looked up to him. He growled means we’re friends . I feel happy and I hugged him again…..
“we’re friends now right? ”
“Grrrr… ” he growled. And i smiled.
I looked around and saw it was getting darker. I don’t want to go but I have to go back else It will be dark soon.
I pulled myself away from him.
” I have to go. You know what happened last time. I feel scared out at night. I’ll came some other day to meet you. ” I got up saying this.
He also got up in his four feets.
“Bye Beast ” I waved at him and he growled back.
I turned around and walked towards my home. I saw him running towards the bushes.
After a while he was following me from the other side of the jungle.
I smiled at him. He was making me feel safe.
He followed me till I reach the park and then he got lost in the bushes. It was not far from the park to the apartment and the road lights were on so there was nothing to worry.
I looked back once again and went towards the apartment.
I got back on the apartment and sat on the bed. I was tired. I went to the washroom and freshen myself up. I cooked myself some simple dinner and eat it. Cami would eat on her workplace so I don’t have to wait for her.
Then i do the dishes and went to bed and wait for Cami while using mobile phone.
Cami came about nine thirty at night. She was tired so she just changed her clothes and went to bed .
Next day, today was my interview. Cami went to her work and I to my interview. We drove together.
When we reach there it was already ten of the night.
It was one of the popular restaurant an A city. It is rated as five star. It is “Star restaurant”
I walked inside. There was a girl in the reception area. Cami went there and filled her attendance.
“who is she? Is she here for work? ” ahe asked Cami.
“”Yes she is. Now that sister Skyler would be leaving after marriage, she will be joining in her place. ”
” But she isn’t married yet ” she looked confused.
” I talked to sister Skyler and the manager. He said if she pass the interview, she will be under training for a few days before she took over sister Skyler’s place. ”
“ohh. ” she stretched out her hand ” Hi, I’m Jenny ”
“Hi, I’m Riley”
“All the best Riley ”
“Thank you Jenny. ”
After her attendance we went to a office inside. There was a person sitting inside.
“may I came in sir”Cami knocked the door twice.
“came in ”
We went inside. Inside was a man around his fifty. He was bald from his front and he had a jolly and round belly.
He asked us to seat in the chairs.
We went forward and sat there.
“Sir this is my friend I was talking about, Riley” Cami said.
“Hi Riley ”
“Hello sir. ” I nodded to him .
“Cami you can go back to your work now ” he said.
“OK sir I’ll leave then.” she got up from her chair.
“All the best Riley ” she said before she left. Now I was alone with the manager.
“So Riley, tell me why do you left your last job? ” he asked and asked such a question in his first go. Heck, how am I gonna answer that.
“I… ”
” Don’t worry I’m just curious. You don’t have to worry so much” he said.
