“Performance?” Jamie was momentarily stunned, then quickly realized, “Mr. Bloomer, as long as you don’t kill me, I’m willing to do anything for you!”
“Don’t be nervous.” Leo smirked and pulled out the silver needle from Patrick.
Patrick instantly woke up from his dazed state.
“Bruno and Patrick suggested that you curse my wife. I think they both would like to experience being cursed.” Leo glanced at Bruno and Patrick, “Here’s the deal, use your curse on Patrick first.”
As soon as Leo spoke, Patrick struggled and fell in front of Leo with a “thud,” continuously kowtowing, “Mr. Bloomer, Bruno is the mastermind. I was incited by him. Please spare my life, I won’t dare again!”
Bruno quickly protested, “Patrick, damn it, it was clearly your rotten idea. Mr. Bloomer, please don’t believe him!”
Jamie’s small eyes darted around, tentatively saying, “Mr. Bloomer, my curse can only harm people, not kill them, so…”
“Smack!”
Leo backhandedly slapped Jamie’s face.
Jamie’s freckled face immediately swelled up.
“You can’t kill? Why didn’t you mention that when you cursed me just now?” Leo’s gaze turned cold again. “This is not a marketplace. If you dare to negotiate again, I’ll send you on your way immediately!”
Jamie covered his cheek and quickly replied in fear, “Mr. Bloomer, calm down, I’ll curse him right away.”
When Patrick noticed Jamie looking at him, his expression turned extremely fearful, and at the same time, a sense of extreme despair welled up in his heart.
Regret filled Patrick’s heart at this moment, regret for offending Leo.
Leo was not the waste rumored by people; he was clearly a devil scarier than the Grim Reaper!
“Master Gu, you can’t curse me. You were hired by me and Bruno; I am your employer!” Patrick struggled futilely.
Jamie took out a small box from his body, then extracted a dark and sinister object from it, flicking it toward Patrick.
Patrick’s body trembled uncontrollably, but he had no idea what Jamie had flicked onto him.
“Jamie, what have you done to me!?” Patrick exclaimed.
In the split second Patrick opened his mouth, Jamie suddenly flicked his right hand again, and a red pill-like object flew into Patrick’s mouth.
It turned out that Jamie’s first flick was just a feint, and the second one was the real move.
Instinctively, Patrick tried to spit out the object in his mouth, but the red pill-like thing melted upon contact with his mouth. It then stimulated Patrick’s nerves, making him involuntarily swallow.
Jamie looked at Patrick as if watching a dead man and said, “Mr. Gregory, sorry about this. Don’t blame me. The consequences are all of your own making.”
Patrick suddenly realized something, his eyes bulged, and he stood up abruptly from the ground, then ran.
Unfortunately, he hadn’t run a few steps when he collapsed to the ground. His body curled up, convulsing uncontrollably.
While convulsing, Patrick’s seven orifices began to bleed.
“Ah…!!!” A horrific scream echoed throughout the underground basement.
Soon, Patrick’s body started to shrink visibly at an alarming speed, and black, foul-smelling blood flowed on the ground.
In a matter of seven or eight minutes, a once living person turned into a pool of blood on the ground.
This scene not only shocked Bruno but also left Bob and others in astonishment.
On the contrary, Leo remained calm, as if the one who died in front of him was not a person but a cockroach.
After killing Patrick, Jamie, looking at Leo with fear, said, “Mr. Bloomer, as per your request, I have used my curse to kill Patrick. Please spare me.”
“Did I say I would spare you if you killed Patrick?” Leo suddenly countered.
Jamie immediately knelt in front of Leo and kowtowed, “Mr. Bloomer, didn’t you say you wanted to see my performance? I’ve shown it to you. You can’t go back on your word.”
“Oh, what if I decide to go back on my word?” Leo sarcastically asked.
Jamie was now truly desperate and felt the same hopelessness that Patrick had felt a moment ago. Although he easily killed Patrick, he was well aware that he couldn’t harm Leo in the slightest, especially with Leo not being alone.
Jamie was certain that Leo could kill him as easily as squashing an ant. So, begging for mercy was the only option he believed would keep him alive.
Leo signaled to Chasel to take out the dagger he carried and threw it in front of Jamie.
“As someone as vicious as you, I cannot forgive. Decide your own fate.” Leo said coldly.
Jamie looked at the dagger on the ground and suddenly burst into insane laughter. “Leo, as the saying goes, a cornered rabbit will bite. Since you don’t want me to live, let’s die together!”
Jamie waved his hands, and some pink powder scattered from them, emitting a faint strange smell.
Bob and others suddenly noticed a change in their surroundings. The basement was no longer there, replaced by a sea of flowers where various beautiful butterflies danced.
Bob and the others had a fascinated expression on their faces, their eyes devoid of focus, as if they had lost their minds in an instant.
At that moment, Jamie erupted with all his strength and rushed towards the exit of the basement.
Leo used a telekinesis technique on the dagger. It flashed with a cold light, shooting towards the escaping Jamie.
Unfortunately, due to the slight influence of the strange aura, the dagger’s aim was off by a tiny bit, and it missed Jamie’s life, only stabbing into his shoulder.
After a painful cry, Jamie, prioritizing escape, didn’t stop for a moment and successfully rushed out of the basement room.
Leo’s aura erupted, dispersing the powder Jamie had thrown. Then, Leo let out a chilling low growl, “Wake up, all of you!”
Leo’s voice, like thunder, instantly awakened Bob and the others from their confused and dazed state.
“What happened?” Chasel asked with a bewildered expression.
“Did that guy use some sneaky trick to escape?” Bob reacted first, angrily exclaiming, “Chasel, come with me. Let’s go and catch him!”
Leo stopped them, saying, “Forget it. Don’t pursue a poor enemy. Since Patrick went underground, we should now properly entertain Mr. Henley.”
Bruno, innocent and hopeful that he might escape unharmed, had his heart plunged into eternal icy coldness again by Leo’s words.
