Chapter 21

Book:The Cursed Love Published:2024-5-1

“Now let’s see how you will react when someone attacks you.” Olivia looked past me and smiled warmly at Liam. “Care to help us?”
He closed the book in his hand that he had brought from God knows where and stoop up, brushing his pants.
I grinned after thinking of how my power had increased after the mating ceremony. It was almost like dual cultivation rituals I had read about in the Eastern Fantasy novels. But before I could become happier, I saw Liam slowly making his way toward me. He stopped two feet away and folded his hands on his chest, staring at me with squinted eyes. “You aren’t the only one with an upgrade.” He paused and smirked. “And did you really think I had used 100% power at that time?” This reminded of the day when Liam had taught me how to use my power to open the magic book.
I was stunned at his words. No wonder I had felt that George’s suppressing power was more powerful than Liam’s! It turns out, the prince wasn’t even using his full power on me. But I couldn’t get to think more about it because he had already used his energy to suppress me.
Suddenly I felt an overpowering energy pushing me on the ground. It was as if someone had just decided to stand on my chest and dance around, making me hurt. I started breathing erratically as my eyes turned purple again as I spoke a blocking spell. My energy circulated throughout my body that became a shield around me like I had learned before Olivia came into picture. But the shield was useless. It only protected me for five seconds before breaking as Liam’s energy entered through the cracked shield and suppressed me again. This time, I couldn’t hold on and blood slipped out from the corner of my mouths. I coughed and more blood vomited out of my throat. I almost felt like I was going to die out of pain!
What an overwhelming power! It almost felt like Liam’s energy had increased by ten folds! No wonder he wanted to do the mating ceremony faster and didn’t even care to ask me about it.
But I was confused. I had thought that vampires didn’t have magical powers. But how could they use aspects like superfast speed like that of Derrick, and suppressing power of Liam’s?
By the time Liam stopped, I was weakly kneeling on the ground, looking up at him in confusion. Sensing my curiosity, he picked me up and leaned my body against his firm body. I felt a warm body embracing me, making my heart pace faster. “Dear wife,” His breath tickled my ears. “Aren’t you wonderful? I upgraded my level just because of you.”
My ears turned red at that knowing what he was referring to. Just then, someone cleared her throat, gaining our attention. I pushed Liam back and straightened myself, wiping blood from the corner of my lips.
“Can’t you two get busy in your bedroom? An old lady is standing here!”
“Sorry.” I lowered my head in guilt. But then a thought flashed in my mind, and I glanced at her. “Olivia-”
“I said call me Granny.”
“Granny,” I said through the gritted teeth. I didn’t want to call this lady hitler Granny. “I wanted to know why vampires are able to use the powers? I thought that they wouldn’t have powers before I saw Derrick speeding up and Liam suppressing me.”
“Who said they didn’t?” Olivia said. “It’s just witches and wizards can use spells and transform that energy into power, but vampires can’t. The only benefit is that they get to use their power that had been ingrained inside their subtle bodies the moment they became vampires.”
“That means every vampire would have different powers?”
“Exactly.” Olivia nodded. “Vampires would awaken only one power in a lifetime, and this power is random depending on the thinking process of the person who had just become a vampire. For example-” She pointed at Liam. “This guy was thinking of suppressing his father, who he had naively thought was hurting his mother. So he developed suppressing power. But Derrick was thinking of running to find an antidote for his people back then, so he awakened speed.”
“Didn’t vampires try to use the spells?”
This time, Olivia didn’t answer, instead Liam stepped in our conversation. “We did, but no matter which spell we would use, it was useless. We couldn’t use any power at will like you guys.” He paused and continued. “Good thing is we don’t need to mutter spells under our breath like you guys. So we save time and can attack first.”
Is that how Liam could overpower me before I could even do anything about it? My eyes widened at that.
“Now now, let’s try and learn more skills, shall we?” Olivia said and suddenly flashed a malicious smile that sent a chill down my spine.
What exactly was she going to teach me now?

I shouldn’t have trusted Olivia with my studies. She was nothing more than a hitler. Even hitler would be sympathetic toward me.
This day, she taught me four combat skills and asked me to practice for the entire afternoon without asking me to eat or drink. And when I tried to object, she just said with a blank face, “Vampire witches don’t need to drink and eat after feeding blood or sharing energy through mating.” Then she paused and made an angry face, glaring at Liam. “And you guys were so loud that the entire palace knew what you did last night.”
I blushed at that and didn’t dare to look at Liam’s face. But before I could retort, I felt an arm around my waist tugging me closer to him. I felt his breath fanning my skin, warming my ears. Flush of heat went on my face, spreading a pinkish glow on my cheeks. But he wasn’t done yet. With a smirk on his lips, he said to Olivia, “Should I give her more energy, just in case?”
I knew he had asked this to Olivia, but I somehow felt that it was indirectly directed at me. I shrank back in his embrace and shook my head. I suddenly felt so bashful that not even a single word left my lips.
Suddenly, I felt his lips touching my neck making me gasp. I tried to push him back. Was this man crazy? He dared to do something like this in front of Olivia. But I felt an incredible excitement at this moment that made me forget about the spells that I would be trying to use all day long.
My toes curled as I leaned even closer to him, tilting my head slightly as his simple touch turned into rain of kisses.
Just when I had forgotten myself, I heard someone clearing her throat and glaring at both of us.
Both of us froze. We really forgot that we weren’t alone.
My ears turned red as I averted my eyes, pushing Liam’s surprised body back, distancing him from me. “Let’s practice, Granny.”
Olivia was so angry that she wanted to hit someone. Veins popped on her forehead as she squinted her eyes at Liam. “You!” She pointed her finger at him. “Get out of here!”
Liam raised his hand and went back to his chair. Flipping open the same book kept on the table, he continued to read as if nothing had happened.
I was speechless by seeing his actions. How could this guy behave as if nothing had happened? I pouted and turned toward Olivia to learn more spells.
By the time it was evening, I was already exhausted enough to faint. My breathing was so fast that people would think that I had just participated in sports. Wiping the sweat from my forehead, I bent and placed my hands on my knees and shook my head. “I can’t. Not anymore.” Practicing conversion of energy into fire, water, and other elements and then throwing them at other people to attack wasn’t a joke. It exhausted all my energy, making me feel as if I would faint any minute.
Olivia looked at me with an unmoving gaze. It almost felt as if I was a dead fish for her. “Okay, you get an hour of break. Later, I’ll test your skills.”
What testing? Didn’t she see my progress from her own eyes by standing here all day long!? I wanted to say these words, but just as I had parted my lips, I was hoisted in the air as I dangled upside down on someone’s back. I was so surprised that I let out a squeal and clutched his shirt tightly.
This guy wasn’t thinking of misusing this short break for bed activities, right? “Liam?” I asked cautiously, “Where are we going?” Please don’t say it’s the bedroom! I was too tired to lift a single hand!
He said nothing but patted my butt lightly as his fingers travelled to an unspeakable area. I gasped in surprise and struggled against him weakly. But his hands kept me in a position.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Did this guy have any shame? We did twice this morning, and he was hungry for more?
Can’t you be more reasonable? I wanted to say this, but nothing except air travelling out of my parted lips
Why did I feel like this Prince had become more like an open bull after our wedding? I glared at his back and hit him softly multiple times.
But he acted like it wasn’t more than a tickle. He ignored my struggle and took me to our bedroom. Throwing me on the bed, he climbed on the top of me and pinned me on the bed.
Seeing his imposing attitude, I was reminded of the first time I had met him. At that time, I had thought he was cruel and ruthless. And I was so scared that I felt like I’d die anytime! But I was still attracted to him. He had similarly pinned me back then, and grabbed my jaw to threaten me.
Didn’t he know that I was already scared to the point of fainting at that time? But for some reason, I felt like Liam’s actions of threatening were almost awkward. It was as if he didn’t know how to deal with my fear.
Thinking about Liam’s awkwardness while dealing with me at that time made my gaze filled with amusement as I tilted my head and looked at him.
The current Liam had changed. He had become more open, and a little bolder.
Seeing my amused gaze, Liam frowned and asked, “What’re you thinking?”
I bit my lips to keep myself from laughing at his awkwardness that still didn’t disappear even after so many months of seeing each other. “Nothing.”
His fingers traced my jaw as he squinted his eyes. “I don’t believe you.”
“I won’t say it. What will you do?” I tiled my head, flashing more of my neck before him. His fingers traced my neck making it tickle and reached inside the top, brushing past the straps of my bra. I shivered at the contact.
He leaned closer to my ears and whispered, “I’ll make you say it.”
And he really did force me. He took off his clothes and tears mine. The entire time this guy took the foreplay so slowly that I was dying of anticipation. I arched my back and pleaded with him, but he didn’t say anything, just kept playing with the sensitive parts of my body.
It wasn’t until later that he was just about to enter me but stopped, staring at me with his lustful eyes. “Tell me.”
I wanted to cry at that time. This guy was still using his imposing attitude to open my mouth. I wanted to be angry at him, but I was so muddle headed that incoupdntspeak a single word. Moans and groans escaped my lips as tears formed in my eyes. My naked body trembled under him and I arched my back.
“Pl-please…” I parted my lips and closed, waiting for him to forget about the fact that I was amused.
“Then tell me first.” He used his fingers to brush past the area, making me even more restless.
Another moan escaped. I licked my lips and glanced at him with my blurry eyes. “I forgot. Pl-please…” I lied.
I could see a smirk forming on his lips, but he didn’t budge. “You should’ve said earlier then.” He brushed his fingers again, and I gripped the bedsheet, curling my toes.
I was seeing stars in my eyes. I had no idea what Liam was asking about anymore. All I was thinking about was his finger brushing against me down there. In restlessness, I couldn’t help but blurt out. “I was thinking about our first meeting.” I really didn’t remember anything, but I was sure that this was what I was thinking. I needed him inside. I needed him to share the energy again like before. I couldn’t wait anymore! My legs kicked the air in restlessness as I turned my head, gripping the bed sheet.
“What about it?” He mumbled against my neck as he was kissing my sensitive area.
“Yo-You were so awkward.” I whispered, biting his shoulders.
And with that, he thrust himself so deep all of a sudden that I arched my back and cried out his name.
At the same time, he shared his energy, making my toes curl in pleasure. Moans escaped my lips. And he continued thrusting in me faster than ever.
