Damien
I wait in the bedroom for Clara to put on the dress that I bought her. Maybe I should take her shopping for clothes and lingerie later. I don’t think she will be moving in with me any time soon and she will be needing the clothes.
I hope Clara found the surprise that I brought her. Maybe that is what is keeping her in there. Is she admiring it or wondering how it got there. I wonder if I got the right style and design. Most of the ones I have peeled off her body looked seem to be off the same style. I hope she likes it.
She finally comes out of the closet with a secret smile playing on her face. She definitely found my surprise. I can see the dress fits her perfectly fine. I have to give myself a thumbs up for getting the size correct.
She approaches me while swaying her hips in a seductive way. I can’t help but smile. I think I have to used to doing this kind of shopping in the future if Clara starts living with me in the future.
“You look great,” I tell her.
“Thank you,” she responds.
“I see to the dress fits. I was doubting the size,” I tell her.
“Well, it fits like a glove and do you know what else fits?” she asks me with a raised eyebrow. I know what she is talking about but I just want to pretend that I have completely no idea what she is talking about.
“Tell me,” I ask her.
She reaches closer and raises on her tiptoes.
“It fits really well. Tell me you are the one who got it for me,” she whispers into my ear. A huge silly grin spreads across my lips.
“That, I did,” I respond and she grins at me.
“Thank you for the panties. That was very thoughtful of you. I hope you don’t want them back because I like them a lot,” she whispers back.
“You can have them. I bought them for you. Despite the fact that I really want to check how good they look on you,” I tell her and she gives me a coy smile. She stands upright again and then slowly lifts the dress up to reveal what I asked for.
“I like the way it hugs your perfect ass. I can’t wait to peel it off you later,” I say. She releases the dress and chews on her lip.
“Why don’t you do it now?” she inquires with dark clouded eyes. Oh, Clara. You have no idea.
“You just took the trouble of putting it on. I can just peel it off just yet,” I tell her.
“I hope you will be able to keep your promise,” she says.
“Oh, I will,” I respond with an equally dark tone.
When we reach downstairs, Clara and I head for the living room. We meet Athan, Orpheus and Raul in the living room. They are sitting on the couch and look really absorbed in a conversation.
When they see us coming, all their eyes are turned to us.
“Are we interrupting something?” I inquire from them.
“No, we were just wondering where we the council has decided to put all those newly turned Vampires. They are a lot, over fifty of them. Mithras had suggested that they be distributed among the families if the Ventrue clan but Celeste said that they should be put in one common place for now where they can be trained together and adapt to their new selves, ” Orpheus says.
“I think think Mithras’ opinion is much better. I mean, if they live with other Vampires, they will be able to adapt faster than being on their own. Despite the fact that they will be training them, I think it would be better for them to learn from the other Vampires,” Athan says.
“What did they decide on in the end?” I ask.
“They didn’t come up with a proper plan. There is no way they were going to take all those Vampires to the council headquarters. They are many and they had to go through the town. What would people have thought if they saw them being transferred from where they were to the council headquarters?” Raul responds.
“So they are still there?” I inquire.
“Yes, but they are being taken good care of. However they are not going to be there for long. That house is in a really poor condition and they need a lot of space,” Athan replies.
“Cassius suggested that they have a proper meeting of the council at the headquarters so that they can decide on what they are going to do for them,” Orpheus says. d
“I see. Do you know when is the meeting going to be there?” I ask.
“Not yet but I am sure they will inform you when they schedule for it,” Orpheus replies.
“What about Lazarus?” I inquire.
“He has been locked up in the jail at the headquarters. He is under tight security,” Raul responds.
“Okay, that’s good,” I say and squeeze Clara’s hand to assure her. She give me a smile.
“Where are the others?” I ask the most obvious question.
“They are resting,” Raul replies in a matter-of-fact tone that makes me chuckle.
“Why aren’t you resting like the others?” I ask them.
“We rested enough in the morning and we now fine. Too much rest causes rust,” Ruil responds making Clara chuckle.
“Oh, how are feeling, Cla?” Raul asks her. Cla? What? Since when is she Cla?
“I am fine. Thank you,” she replies with a bright smile on her face.
“She was here the whole time so don’t act like you’ve just noticed her. And her name is Clara,” I say out of annoyance. Cla! Huh? Clara swats my arm.
“Calm down, bro. I was just being nice to the lady,” Raul defends himself.
“It’s fine, Raul. You can call me what you want as long as it is not offensive,” Clara says. Wait! What? Did she just give him permission to call her nicknames?
“Thank you. I liked you from the very beginning. I knew we would get along very well,” Raul tells her, generating a big smile from her. Okay, I don’t care about the racus as long as Clara keeps smiling like this.
Clara must be hungry right now. I remembered to being her some fast food when I went out to town. I think I am doing a great job being a good mate for her, don’t you think?
“Clara, I think you should come with me and have something to eat,” I tell her. She looks surprised at first but then masks her surprise with a smile.
“Okay,” she responds.
We excuse ourselves from the living room and head for the kitchen.
“You remembered,” she says when we enter the kitchen.
“Remembered what?” I inquire.
“That I have to eat,” she replies.
“Ofcourse, I always remember,” I tell her.
“So what are we going to prepare this time?” she inquires while looking around.
“No need for that today. I bought some cooked food from town,” I reply her and her eyes go wide.
“I know that I am a very thoughtful mate,” I tell her and she jumps into my chest giving me a bear hug.
“Thank you,” she says.
“For what? It’s nothing,” I say, feeling very flattered.
“Thank you, for everything. You have no idea how much this means to me. You make me feel like the luckiest girl on earth having been given you as my mate,” she says and my cold frozen heart melts and leaps at her words.
“You also make me the luckiest Vampire on earth by saying that I make you the luckiest girl on earth,” I tell her and she giggles. I give her a chaste kiss on the lips and she wraps her hands around my neck so that I don’t pull away. She closes her eyes and offers her lips to me asking for more. Well, how can I deny that beautiful request.
I place my lips on hers again and kiss her properly this time round. When I pull away, Clara is grinning like a giddy teenager. She looks incredibly beautiful and carefree.
“I wish all times could be like this. You and me, together smiling and kissing. I just wish the world wasn’t so unfair so that it could let us be together like we are supposed to. I want to be with you, Damien. Forever,” she says and then her smile slowly disappears. Oh, please don’t go there Clara. Don’t even think about it.
I crash my lips on hers, pulling her back to me. I want to assure her that everything is going to be alright and her wishes are going to come true though not soon but some day. For now we have to enjoy and make the most out of every moment we get together. I don’t want that dark cloud looming over us whenever we are together. I want her to be happy like she deserves to be.
“Food,” I say when we both pull away from the kiss. She nods and lets go of me so that I can get the food. I put the food on a plate and serve it with the juice which I also bought. Maybe I should also learn how to make juice.
I place it on the table and pull out a chair for her to sit. I sit opposite get and watch her as she smiles at her food. Well, at least I managed to bring her smile back.
