After dodging the Tai Chi pattern, Leo skillfully redirected the massive chandelier from the hall’s ceiling, piercing through the roof and flying out. Despite the missed strike, other elders unleashed their Tai Chi patterns from different angles, slashing towards Leo with sharp edges.
In the hall, Tai Chi patterns danced and intertwined, seemingly capable of tearing through space itself. Leo maneuvered in mid-air, evading each Tai Chi pattern effortlessly. However, the hall’s roof now bore long, narrow fissures, allowing sunlight to stream in, casting long rays on the floor.
“Hmph, little scum, no matter how skilled you are, I don’t believe you can avoid all the Tai Chi Yin-Yang slashes. Once you’re hit, you’ll be cut in half on the spot,” sneered Levi Lynd, his gaze darkening. His other hand rose, and Tai Chi patterns formed once again above both palms.
Seeing this, the ten elders followed suit, raising their other hands towards the sky. Inner power gathered, and within the formation, all eleven individuals conjured a total of twenty-two Tai Chi patterns. If unleashed simultaneously, there would be no space in the hall’s airspace for evasion.
“Let the game end here,” Leo’s gaze intensified, and he exhaled lightly. Leo swiftly formed hand seals, and Spiritual Power surged from within him. Above the elders’ heads, Spiritual Power condensed into ten cages with a subtle blue hue.
The cage walls rippled with water-like patterns, reflecting shimmering light under the sunlight. “Draw a prison!” Leo’s hand seals changed. Ten cages descended from the sky, enveloping the ten elders who had conjured Tai Chi patterns.
The cages severed the connection between the eleven, and the Tai Chi patterns they formed dimmed, ultimately turning into black and white dots, dispersing into nothingness. Trapped in the invisible cages, the elders’ faces changed simultaneously. They immediately mobilized their inner power, attacking the cages’ surface, causing intense ripples.
Leo glanced at the struggling elders. Before they could break free, he believed there would be enough time to kill Levi Lynd.
“Levi Lynd, meet your end.” Leo’s gaze turned sharp, directing his attention below. The remaining four white sword glows shot towards Levi Lynd.
Faced with the incoming white sword glows, Levi Lynd’s expression changed drastically. He planted his foot, rapidly retreating. Simultaneously, he clenched his teeth, and inner power surged from his palms, forming a black and white Tai Chi pattern.
The four white sword glows crashed onto the black and white Tai Chi pattern, causing it to tremble violently. Levi Lynd forcefully halted his movement, emitting more inner power from his palms, solidifying the Tai Chi pattern.
The four white sword glows quivered for a moment, then dispersed, turning into white dots that vanished. Levi Lynd exhaled but maintained tension. Suddenly, a voice from behind froze him.
“It’s all over.”
Leo’s figure, unnoticed until now, descended from the sky and appeared behind Levi Lynd. A purple radiance sliced across Levi Lynd’s neck without mercy. Blood sprayed from Levi Lynd’s neck as he stared with unblinking eyes, slowly falling to the ground.
“Master!” The ten elders inside the cages exclaimed upon seeing the scene.
“You dare to kill the Lynd family’s master!” Elder Blazing Sun was the first to break free from the cage, swiftly appearing beside Levi Lynd’s lifeless body, a hint of fear in his eyes.
“Not killing him would mean waiting for him to come after me, wouldn’t it?” Leo responded emotionlessly.
One by one, the remaining cages were shattered, and the other nine elders emerged. Every elder gazed at Levi Lynd’s body on the ground with a mix of shock and fear.
At this moment, no one dared to launch an attack on Leo. After all, the guy before them had just slain Levi Lynd, who had reached the level of an advanced martial artist.
In the hall, Devin Lynd let out a deep breath, clenching and then slowly releasing his fists from his sleeves. A hint of reddishness appeared in his old eyes.
Levi Lynd was finally dead! Although Devin hadn’t personally killed Levi, there was a sense of relief within him. Levi had oppressed him throughout his life, living in pain and disgrace. Now that Levi was killed by Leo, Devin felt not resentment but a tinge of gratitude towards Leo.
Without Levi Lynd, Devin Lynd would now become the family head.
“Will you submit to me, or shall I eliminate all of you, leaving no trace of the Lynd family in Huaxia? The choice is yours,” Leo coldly scanned the elders present, his voice icy.
“Elder Blazing Sun, you-” Elder Blazing Sun began to shout in anger but halted under Leo’s piercing gaze.
“You’re quite arrogant. The Lynd family has stood for centuries. How can an outsider like you take over?” Elder Blazing Sun stiffened, pointing at Leo, his voice irate.
“It seems Elder Blazing Sun has made a choice. Very well, I’ll grant your wish.” Leo calmly uttered, then, forming complex seals with his hands, conjured eight more white sword glows.
At the sight of these glows, Elder Blazing Sun’s face turned ashen. If even the advanced martial artist Levi Lynd fell to Leo, how could he, a mid-level martial artist, withstand this?
His old legs trembled uncontrollably.
“Mr. Bloomer, please stop,” said Devin Lynd quickly.
Leo’s gaze shifted to Devin Lynd. “What’s your say, Mr. Bloomer?”
“Mr. Bloomer, the Lynd family shouldn’t have opposed the Seven Stars Sword Sect alongside the Fiery Blaze Sect and Flying Dragon Gang. Now that so many of us from the Lynd family have fallen, paying a heavy price, I hope Mr. Bloomer can cease hostilities. In the future, let the Lynd family coexist peacefully with Mr. Bloomer and the Seven Stars Sword Sect,” Devin Lynd proposed in a deep voice.
The elders glanced at Devin Lynd, tacitly agreeing with his proposal. After all, with Levi Lynd dead, Devin held the highest position in the Lynd family.
“Heh, coexist peacefully?” Leo mocked with a hint of sarcasm.
“Mr. Bloomer, rest assured. We won’t leak a word about your martial arts skills,” Devin Lynd vowed earnestly, seemingly aware of Leo’s thoughts.
“Do you think I’ll believe you?” Leo skeptically eyed Devin Lynd. “I’ll give you two choices: live or die.”
“Choosing life means you submit to me. Don’t worry; I’m not interested in meddling in the Lynd family’s internal affairs. However, if I give orders, the Lynd family must fully cooperate. Of course, I’ll also provide protection for the Lynd family.”
“Choosing death means that, after today, there will be no more Lynd family in the world.”
