Chapter 680: Who Dares to Enter

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

No one would believe that a wastrel who survived on women could be more formidable than Donald Vogt, capable of taking over the entire Lemon Grass.
Lee Hemingway knew when to end things and asked Leo, “Mr. Bloomer, what do you want to do with this Donald Vogt?”
This question made Donald Vogt shiver. He suddenly knelt in front of Leo, pleading, “Leo, I know I was wrong, please spare me.”
Leo, disdainful of such people like Donald Vogt, waved his hand impatiently, “Get lost!”
“Thank you, Leo!” Donald Vogt quickly got up from the ground, turned, and ran, soon disappearing from everyone’s sight.
Donald Vogt’s escape, coupled with the humiliation he suffered earlier, made Joyce unwilling to stay any longer. Taking advantage of everyone’s inattention, she quietly left.
Seeing the perfect resolution, Jessica boldly gestured with her right hand and exclaimed, “Relatives of the Gunter family, what are we waiting for? Let’s go in!”
Many people originally planned to leave, but Jessica’s call immediately changed their minds.
After all, places like Lemon Grass were not places you could visit anytime. It wasn’t affordable for the working class either.
After Jessica finished speaking, she boldly walked through the gates of Lemon Grass.
The security guards who were blocking the entrance quickly stepped aside, assuming a welcoming posture.
Just as everyone was about to rush in, Leo suddenly spoke loudly, “Wait!”
Jessica, who had already entered, couldn’t help but stop and turn around, her face showing displeasure. “Leo, what do you want now?”
Leo glanced at the Gunter family members as if a monarch were surveying his subjects.
“Lemon Grass is booked by me, so not just anyone can come in to dine.” Leo’s voice exuded a powerful dominance.
This statement made Gordon, who had calmed down, darken his face again. He sternly shouted, “Leo, you parasite. You can afford to take over Lemon Grass because of my daughter’s money. Why do you have the audacity to give orders here? How dare you call my Gunter family people ‘anyone’? What kind of person are you!”
Leo’s words undoubtedly touched Jessica’s sensitive and spirited nerves. In Jessica’s view, she had taken control of this family banquet, and Leo’s unilateral decision was intolerable.
“Leo, I’m organizing today’s family banquet. Just eat quietly, and spare me your nonsense!” Jessica scolded with hands on her hips.
Leo seemed to ignore Jessica’s words, sneering. He said again, “Let me reiterate, Lemon Grass is booked by me, and Mr. Hemingway only recognizes me. Therefore, I will decide who can enter to dine!”
Seeing Leo completely disregarding her, Jessica’s anger surged. She walked to Leo in three quick steps, hands on hips, pointing at Leo’s nose, and cursed, “Deadbeat, I think you’ve got a short circuit in your brain. Hurry up and get out of my way!”
Leo stared directly at Jessica, sneering, “Do you think, no matter what I do, in your eyes, I’ll always be a deadbeat? And the relatives of your natal family can insult me at will, and that’s justifiable in your eyes?”
Leo’s two questions unintentionally made Jessica nod her head.
“Today, I’ll make it clear: no one can ride on my head and do as they please. If anyone doubts this, feel free to try it!” Leo’s voice was as cold as the winter wind in December.
Leo’s gaze moved from Jessica to the members of the Gunter family. “I know some of you have certain intentions. If I hadn’t taken over Lemon Grass today, you would definitely not let me in. You were prepared to throw me scraps and treat me like a dog, right?”
Leo’s words left Ethan’s family open-mouthed in shock. They couldn’t understand how Leo knew about these secret plans.
Leo’s harsh words continued, “In my opinion, there is too much garbage among the Gunter family members. Places like Lemon Grass absolutely cannot have trash entering, to avoid affecting people’s appetites.”
Jessica was on the verge of exploding, “Leo, you deadbeat, what nonsense are you spouting? Are you trying to infuriate me and make Sophia an orphan?”
“Jessica, I don’t know if you’re really foolish or pretending to be. Have you forgotten what Ethan did to us? How quickly you’ve forgotten about Ethan drugging us?” Leo, in front of the Gunter family members, uttered shocking words.
This not only shocked Ethan’s family, but also drew everyone’s attention to Ethan.
Ethan exclaimed, “Leo, don’t talk nonsense. How could I do such a thing to Aunt Jessica and the others!”
“Nonsense?” Leo sneered and, starting from the collision, recounted Ethan’s plot and drugging at the Imperial Mountain Hotel.
After Leo finished speaking, Gordon, furious, pointed at Ethan with a trembling hand and sternly asked, “Ethan, did you really do such a despicable thing?”
Ethan, already in a panic, heard Gordon’s stern shout, immediately knelt in front of Gordon, and cried out, “Grandpa, please don’t believe Leo’s words. He’s deliberately splitting us. How could I do such a thing to Aunt Jessica and Cousin Sophia?”
Leo took out his phone and played a recording of a previous conversation in the room, where Ethan pleaded with him. Faced with this undeniable evidence, Gordon could no longer bear it. He slapped Ethan’s face hard, and with red eyes, scolded, “Little beast!”
After the slap, infuriated Gordon didn’t leave his face here any longer. He turned and walked away.
Seeing the old man storm off, many members of the Gunter family knew that today’s family banquet was probably ruined and followed suit, leaving the scene.
Ethan, holding his face, stood up from the ground and also wanted to leave.
However, Jessica appeared in front of him, and with a cold tone, said, “Ethan, it’s time your family repaid the $500, 000 you borrowed from me.”
Before Ethan could speak, Paige jumped in, assuming the stance of a shrew, pointing at Jessica, and shouting, “Jessica, what do you mean? Who owes you $500, 000? When did we borrow money from you? Do you have evidence?”
Paige’s barrage of questions left Jessica momentarily speechless. She had planned to have Alex and Paige write an IOU, but on the day of the loan, somehow, she carelessly forgot.
