“Wake up sleeping beauty”, Habeeb said as he pecked his wife.
He woke up earlier and prepared breakfast for himself and his wife.
Ameedah woke up after some time as Habeeb was staring at her and memories of the previous night came to her head, she only smiled at him too.
“Good morning sweetheart”, he said.
“Good morning my love”, she answered lovingly.
“Hope you slept well”.
“As if you allowed me to sleep”, she replied as she placed her hands on his chest.
Habeeb giggled as she said that.
They talked for a while before they both ate their breakfast. The couple were seeing a movie in the sitting room when a knock interrupted them.
Lo!!!, it was Nawal, she confessed her crimes and apologized to them. Habeeb was initially mad at her as he insisted on getting her punished but Ameedah calmed his nerves and eventually the couple forgave her and Nawal was more than happy as she left their home with a smiling face.
After a week, the couple went for their honeymoon and had the best of all time over there, they took pictures, visited places and went shopping for everyone and after a week or two they were back in Nigeria with a whole lot of goodies for everyone.
Zara was excited to see her parents again.
Habeeb and Ameedah started their various work nevertheless they both still had time for each other as their love blossomed more and more as people wished for their kind of married life.
A month later, it was a Saturday morning and Ameedah was still on bed looking really tired as though she didn’t sleep throughout the night.
“Babes, you seem tired, are you okay?”, he asked looking so worried.
“I don’t even understand why I’m this weak, it just started this morning”.
“Nope, I’ve been noticing, I don’t think you need a soothsayer , you’re actually pregnant”.
“You think so”, she asked with arched brows.
“I know so, congratulations wifey”, he replied as he kissed her.
Eesha and Nihmah were also expecting, Eesha was expecting her first child while Nihmah was expecting her second child. The trio were very happy and they all prayed for safe delivery.
Habeeb and Ameedah were doing great with their work as time flew really fast and in the twinkle of an eye, Ameedah was due.
She had twins, two males; she was really exhausted due to the pushing and all. Habeeb was on cloud nine when she finally put to bed and both the babies and her were healthy, he was more happy about the fact that she had twins, he named them Zayd and Zaahir. It had always been his wish and finally it got fulfilled.
He thanked the Almighty for answering all his prayers and for blessing him with the world’s best wife and lovely children.
He was overwhelmed with joy, he was giddy with emotions as he carried the twins and he couldn’t even stop his tears from flowing. Almighty didn’t just bless him with one but two lovely males and an intelligent female Zara. All thanks to the Almighty, he kept saying. Indeed after hardship comes ease.
He felt fulfilled in life as he had everything he could ever wish for.
He went over to Ameedah and thanked her for giving him the best gift ever and not long afterwards Zara walked in with her grandparents.
She hugged her parents tightly and played innocently with her younger siblings, she glowed differently due to the joy.
After a day, Ameedah was discharged after proper monitoring, they got home late in the evening, their children were all asleep and Habeeb did the work of carrying them all to bed.
Ameedah was seated in the parlor expecting Habeeb to return and in few seconds he appeared.
He sat close to her and she rested her head on his chest. It was a magical moment for them both.
None spoke as they reminisced about their past, from the first time they met at the masjid(mosque) to when they started their relationship to when they shared their first kiss to when she was almost raped to when they got intimate to when they were separated (tears escaped her eyes as soon as she remembered that) to when she had her first child to when she came back and finally they are together again.
Ameedah couldn’t be any happier as she kept on thanking the Almighty.
Habeeb called her and she replied while her head was still on his chest.
“I must have done something indeed great to be blessed with a person like you Ameedah in you I found happiness, light, a soulmate, a lover, a crush, a sister, a mother, an adviser, a teacher, a best friend and above all a wonderful partner in just one person. May Almighty keep us together for the rest of our lives.
“Aameen”, they both chorused.
“I love you till forever Habeeb, I love you so so much and thanks for coming into my life and making it meaningful”.
“I love you the most and thanks for giving me the opportunity to come into your life my love, seriously Ameedah which of the favours of my Lord would I deny?” he said.
“None at all”, she replied him.
Habeeb hugged her tightly and she whispered, ” this is home and love resides here”.
