Chapter 630: Earn Some Money

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

“I told you, Dr. Bloomer is a miracle worker. From now on, for medical issues, I only recognize Dr. Bloomer!”
“Hey, you people, open your eyes wide and see if Dr. Bloomer really cured him!”
“If he went to the hospital for tests and surgery, who knows how much money it would cost. Here with Dr. Bloomer, it’s just a simple manipulation, so miraculous and efficient.”
Amidst the proud and boastful discussions, Monica and her companions showed expressions of disbelief. Especially William, who kept repeating the word “impossible” in English.
After the shock, Monica’s face turned ugly. She never expected that such a serious dislocation problem could be cured by Leo’s hands.
If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, Monica wouldn’t have believed such a seemingly unbelievable thing.
Leo smiled and looked at Monica, “Miss Monica, we have an old saying at Langstel: ‘Seeing is believing.’ Is our bet still valid?”
“Of course, a bet is a bet. Give me your account, and I’ll arrange for the payment immediately!” Monica’s expression was somewhat awkward.
After witnessing Leo’s miraculous medical skills, Monica, at this moment, no longer held the same disdain for Leo as before. Her feelings were now more of curiosity and puzzlement.
Naturally, Leo wouldn’t be polite with this foreign girl. He turned to Chasel and said, “Chasel, give your bank card to Miss Monica.”
“My bank card?” Chasel was puzzled.
“Yes, yours. Bring it over.” Leo reached out to Chasel.
Chasel could only take out his wallet full of confusion and handed Leo a bank card.
Leo handed the bank card to Monica and said, “Transfer the money to this bank card; the account owner’s name is Chasel.”
Monica took the bank card, first took a photo of it, and then made a phone call.
Chasel suddenly realized Leo’s intentions and hurriedly said, “Dr. Bloomer, no work, no pay. I can’t take your money.”
“Chasel, you’re overthinking it. This money isn’t for you; it’s for Bonnie. Bonnie is still young, and she’ll need money in the future. This is my little token of appreciation as her uncle.” Leo smiled.
“No, this is too much.” Chasel waved his hands repeatedly, eyes slightly moist.
Leo said seriously, “Chasel, I consider you a brother; that’s why I’m doing this. If you don’t want to acknowledge me as a brother, you can choose not to accept.”
With the conversation at this point, Chasel knew that if he continued to decline, it would be ungrateful. In the past, when he was in the military, Chasel had little concept of money, thinking that he wouldn’t worry about it for the rest of his life. However, after retiring and truly entering society, he realized the importance of money for a person, especially for a man.
Two hundred thousand US dollars was already a considerable sum for Chasel now.
Leo did this not only because he didn’t lack this amount of money but also because he knew that Chasel had accumulated debts while searching for his daughter in Langstel. Although he now had a job at the clinic and received a salary, after clearing the debts, he barely had any money and lived a frugal life.
So it turned out that Leo took advantage of the foreign girl’s willingness to contribute money and, in Bonnie’s name, gave it to Chasel.
Soon, Monica returned the bank card to Leo and said, “I’ve instructed my people to transfer the funds. It should be in your account in about ten minutes. Dr. Bloomer, I was wondering if you’re free tonight. I thought…”
“Sorry, no time.” Before Monica could finish, Leo promptly declined.
“You…” Monica was left breathless by Leo’s swift rejection. With her already devilishly curvy European and American figure, her chest was naturally heaving, creating a spectacular sight during her rapid breaths.
“Dr. Bloomer, someone like you probably isn’t liked by women. Are you still single?” Monica deliberately asked.
Leo shook his head and smiled, “Miss Monica, you’re mistaken. I’m married, and my wife is more beautiful than you.”
Monica was infuriated. To prevent herself from getting too worked up, she straightforwardly said, “Dr. Bloomer, I heard you’re going to lecture at Langstel Traditional Chinese Medicine University. When the time comes, be sure to let me know. I’d like to hear your enlightening speeches.”
“Miss Monica, let me correct you. It’s not enlightening speeches but genuine insights. Your Western medicine indeed has much to learn from our traditional Chinese medicine. If you come to listen to my lecture, you’ll surely benefit a lot,” Leo chuckled.
Knowing she couldn’t gain the upper hand in words against Leo, Monica chose to remain silent. Instead, she took out a specially made business card and handed it to Leo. After giving him a fierce glare, she turned and left the clinic with her companions.
In the eyes of the patients in the clinic, this group of foreigners could be considered thoroughly defeated, and they couldn’t help but mock them.
With the matter settled, Leo briefly explained things in the afternoon and then left the clinic.
The next place Leo was headed to was the underground warehouse of Wilde Jewelry Group. Now that he possessed the Fragrance-Sensing Divine Jade, he couldn’t neglect his cultivation.
At around 4:30 in the afternoon, Leo finally emerged from Wilde Jewelry Group’s underground warehouse. He then went to the parking lot, got into his car, and prepared to go to the Golden Leaf Shopping Plaza.
On a main road, as Leo was making a left turn, a Jeep suddenly ran a red light from the opposite lane. If Leo hadn’t braked quickly, the Jeep would have surely had an intimate encounter with the front of his Audi.
Leo looked at the Jeep with displeasure. He happened to see three letters on the rear window of the Jeep – SOS!
These three letters represented a call for help. Leo’s heart stirred, and he quickly activated his spiritual power in his eyes.
When he saw the situation inside through the car window, Leo immediately turned left, turned around, and chased after the Jeep.
The Jeep was likely a stolen vehicle, completely unafraid of running red lights, and it sped toward the outskirts of the city.
To keep up with the Jeep, Leo had no choice but to run red lights as well. As for the issue of his driving license points, he would probably have to trouble Madame Godwin, the captain of the criminal police detachment.
Although criminal police and traffic police were not of the same department, if Madame Godwin intervened and claimed it was undercover work, Leo might be able to avoid having his driver’s license revoked.
Half an hour later, the Jeep turned onto a secondary road and continued toward a sparsely populated area.
In the Jeep, the middle-aged, greasy driver showed no fear of running red lights and continued to speed towards a desolate place.
