Jessica tapped her fingers on the property certificate, proclaiming loudly, “Sweetheart, the name on the property certificate for the villa is now yours, so the villa naturally belongs to the Bloomer family. As for Leo, he’s a son-in-law, and he has nothing to do with the Bloomer family’s property, both legally and morally. Isn’t that easy to understand?”
In the four-plus years, Leo understood Jessica’s character and temperaments very well. He knew she would turn her face faster than flipping a book when she got hold of the property certificate, but he didn’t expect it to happen this quickly.
Sophia, although disgusted by her mother’s unreasonable actions, found herself with no choice. She straightforwardly said, “Mom, regardless of whose name is on the property certificate, legally, this villa is the joint property of Leo and me. If you try to make things difficult for him, don’t blame me for exercising my rights as an owner and not letting you stay here!”
“Sophia, have you lost your mind? I’m your mother, and you’re my flesh and blood. How can you treat me for a useless man like this? Are you really going to spend your entire life with a wastrel!?” Jessica immediately started yelling, her voice filled with anger.
Sophia retorted immediately, “Mom, don’t forget, four years ago, you arranged for me to marry Leo. You know me well. Regarding marriage and relationships, I am loyal. Unless Leo decides to leave me, I will never divorce him!”
This statement from Sophia made Jessica stand up abruptly from the sofa, gasping for breath as she exploded, “Sophia, it seems like you’ve been seriously affected by this useless son-in-law! Do you know how excellent your conditions are? Even if you become a divorcee, in Langstel, there are plenty of wealthy men willing to marry you!”
“Do you really want to ruin your entire life for a useless son-in-law like him!?”
Sophia firmly stated, “Mom, strangely enough, you’re right. I am willing to go with the flow, whether Leo is poor or rich. I will stay with him through thick and thin.”
Sophia’s words were like a warm stream, instantly filling Leo’s entire heart. At this moment, Leo deeply felt the happiness that many people spend their entire lives pursuing.
Jessica understood Sophia’s stubbornness and knew that arguing now would be a waste of breath. She sat back on the sofa and said, “Girl, think carefully about what I said just now. Let me know when you’ve figured it out. I’ll help you divorce Leo.”
Sophia ignored Jessica’s words, holding Leo’s hand, and walked towards the kitchen to help Nora prepare dinner.
Jessica snorted, hugging the property certificate to her chest. Her eyes turned, contemplating something unsettling.
After dinner, Martin went to the garden to practice Tai Chi, Jessica went to the backyard to soak in the hot spring, and Leo and Sophia helped Nora clean up the dishes.
During this time, Nora told Leo and Sophia something. In a few days, her daughter, who was still in college, would come to Langstel to visit her.
Nora also mentioned that her daughter, upon learning about Nora’s experience working in the Cloud Dream Mountain villa area, wanted to express her gratitude and invited Leo and Sophia for a meal.
Leo and Sophia had no objections; they were curious to meet Nora’s daughter.
Regarding Nora’s daughter, Leo and Sophia didn’t know much, only that her name was Lucy, and she studied at International Music University.
The next day, after dropping Sophia off at work, Leo made a trip to the Wampole Bank headquarters and repaid the a billion loan along with the interest.
Just as Leo was about to find a place to practice, Jennifer’s call came in. Pressing the answer button, it was not Jennifer on the line but Violet.
Violet seemed restless at the Seven Stars Sword Sect and wanted Leo to take her to the city for some fun. Remembering his promise to Violet at Falling Sunset Mountain, Leo decided to head to the Seven Stars Sword Sect after ending the call.
After picking up Violet from the Seven Stars Sword Sect and arriving in the city, Coral called. She asked Leo to come to the Wilde Jewelry Group; she had something to discuss.
Leo inquired about the matter, suggesting that Coral could explain over the phone. However, Coral insisted that it was something that couldn’t be discussed over the phone and urged him to come to the company.
Reluctantly, Leo took Violet to the Wilde Jewelry Group.
Upon reaching the company and parking the car, Leo, with Violet in tow, walked into the lobby. To his surprise, Coral was waiting there as if she had been expecting him.
Upon seeing the cute girl beside Leo, Coral, with a teasing smile, said, “Leo, where did you pick up such a pretty and cute girl?”
“I’m not a human trafficker. She is…” Leo stopped short, realizing he knew nothing about Violet except her name.
“What is she?” Coral’s face displayed a mischievous smile.
Leo was about to answer when Violet interjected, “Hee-hee, hello, beautiful. I’m Violet. Leo picked me up from Falling Sunset Mountain.”
Picked up!?
Both Coral and Leo were left dumbfounded.
“She’s joking; I met her like this…” Leo had no choice but to briefly explain his trip to Falling Sunset Mountain and how he met Violet to Coral.
At that moment, a portly, bald middle-aged man and a long-haired beauty wearing sunglasses emerged from the nearby elevator.
The long-haired beauty was passable, but her face had layers of heavy makeup, giving off a strong feeling of being overly adorned.
“Mr. Dryden, this time, I’m playing the supporting female role. Who will play the leading female role? I won’t play the supporting role with some relatively unknown actress.” Sunglasses girl said in a delicate and whiny tone.
As she spoke, she glanced around cautiously, as if afraid of being recognized. But upon realizing that no one paid attention to her, her heavily made-up face revealed a hint of disdain as if saying, “You’re all blind; I, a female celebrity, am standing right here, and none of you noticed!”
“Sienna, you can rest assured. For the leading female role, the company will definitely invite a top-tier popular actress. Acting alongside her, your popularity will surely skyrocket.” Toward President said, extending a large hand to give Sienna’s waist a bold squeeze, his eyes showing a lecherous intent.
“Toward President, you’re so annoying!” Sienna complained coquettishly, but her face was full of a flirtatious smile.
However, deep down, she felt disdainful of Toward President. She knew that Dylan Dryden was an old lecher. If it weren’t for the fact that he had just given her a bracelet, she wouldn’t easily let him take advantage of her.
