Sophia stopped in front of a Western-style wedding dress and asked the clerk, “Excuse me, is this RosaClara wedding dress available for trial?”
The clerk shifted her gaze from Leo to Sophia and replied with a polite smile, “This RosaClara wedding dress is only sold, not rented. Unless you can buy it, you can’t try it on.”
Sophia was disappointed. Although she liked the RosaClara wedding dress, if she couldn’t try it on, she wouldn’t consider buying it.
Just as Sophia was about to ask which wedding dresses could be tried on, an unsavory voice interrupted: “Girl, there’s no need to waste time and energy on these two poor punks. They can only afford the cheapest wedding dress in your store.”
Kerr, holding his girlfriend May’s hand, walked in proudly. He gave Leo a disdainful glance and then looked at the clerk and continued, “The most expensive and second most expensive wedding dresses in your store, bring me both!”
May pinched her voice and said, “Honey, do you smell it? There’s a nasty smell in this bridal shop that’s making me sick.”
“What smell?” Kerr asked rhetorically.
May replied, “A stench coming from those poor punks. It’s really disgusting.”
Kerr vigorously sniffed and exclaimed in surprise, “Oh my God, it really does stink! Clerk, get these two people out of here before they pollute the air in your store.”
Leo wanted to teach Kerr a lesson, but Sophia held his hand and signaled him to stay calm.
The clerk shifted her gaze from Kerr and his girlfriend and smiled, saying, “Welcome to Eternal Bridal Shop.”
“Didn’t you hear what I said? The most expensive wedding dress in your store is which one?” Kerr asked loudly.
The clerk felt Kerr’s wealth and power and pointed to Sophia’s back, saying, “Sir, the most expensive wedding dress in our store is the RosaClara wedding dress.”
Kerr snorted in disgust: “Hey, you two, if you can’t afford it, get out of the way and don’t block my view.”
Sophia moved aside and Leo tightened his fist as he felt like pounding someone.
Kerr then asked the clerk, “What’s the price of this RosaClara whatever wedding dress?”
“Sir, it’s RosaClara wedding dress. This dress is like the showpiece of our store, the only one available, and it’s priced at eight million.”
Hearing the figure of eight million, Kerr’s mouth twitched. However, he didn’t show any surprise on his face.
“Eight million isn’t a lot of money. Wedding dresses are only worn once for photos. Eight million for one wear is too much. It’s not worth it,” Kerr said with a contemplative expression. Then he added, “Well, how about eight thousand? I’ll take it for eight thousand.”
Eight million to eight thousand? Well, that was a real plunge.
The girl was taken aback for a moment before erupting into laughter. “Sir, you’re joking, right?” she said.
“Do I look like I’m joking? You know who I am?” Kerr roared angrily again.
“No, I don’t know,” the clerk replied.
“Listen carefully then. I’m Kerr Steele from the Steele family! The Steele family name should be familiar to you.” Kerr said proudly.
May added: “You should be very clear about the Steele family’s influences in this city. My husband can offer 8, 000, is an honor for your store. I hope you are a smart girl.”
The clerk’s heart was in knots when she heard Kerr’s name. She couldn’t believe that she would have to sell the wedding dress worth eight million dollars for eight thousand dollars. If she did so, she would not only lose her job, but also have to compensate for the loss of the bridal shop.
“Mr. Steele, Mrs. Steele, please don’t give me a hard time. Why don’t you look at other wedding dresses? I can give you the best price,” the clerk said in a tone of slightly pleading.
Kerr didn’t even bother with this and pushed the clerk aside, shouting, “I’ve set my heart on this wedding dress! You’ve got to sell it whether you like it or not!”
The clerk was so intimidated by Kerr’s domineering manner that she immediately begged for mercy, saying, “Mr. Steele, I just work here in this bridal shop. I really can’t make the decision.”
“Rosa Clara Bridal was founded in 1995 by Rosa Clara as a wedding dress designer in Barcelona, Spain. It is known for its high-quality fabric selection and minimalistic aesthetic design throughout Europe.”
“Since its establishment, the Rosa Clara brand has opened more than 2500 stores worldwide, including 140 dedicated stores, covering 45 countries on five continents…”
Leo suddenly appeared beside the Rosa Clara Bridal and began speaking to himself.
Sophia was taken aback when she heard Leo’s words. She was puzzled as to how Leo could be so familiar with the Rosa Clara Bridal when he hadn’t even looked it up on his phone. Could it be that Leo was also a wealthy second-generation like Kerr?
The clerk was also taken aback. At first, she had thought that Leo was a hick, but how could a hick know so much about the RosaClara?
Leo’s words only strengthened May’s determination to get the wedding dress. She linked arms with Kerr and said coquettishly, “Honey, I’ve set my heart on this RosaClara Bridal dress. You have to buy it for me so that we can go for our wedding photos.”
Kerr pushed the clerk aside and pointed at Leo, sneering, “Listen, poor guy, don’t pretend to be knowledgeable here. I know who you are. You’re just the pampered son-in-law of the Henley family of Langstel’s second-rate nobility. Who do you think you are to criticize this bridal shop?!”
“Also, this wedding dress already belongs to me. You! Keep your hands off it!”
Leo’s mouth curled into a sneer as he looked at Kerr with icy coldness, sarcasm dripping from his words, “If you can produce eight million now, I’ll admit that this dress is yours. If you can’t pull it out, then go sit in the corner while I take this dress. This dress, I will take it!”
“Leo, wedding dresses are only worn once for the photos. This dress is beautiful, but it’s not worth buying. We can rent another one.” Eight million was no small sum, Sophia quickly said.
Leo looked at Sophia with loving eyes and said, “Sophia, this wedding photo shoot is very important to me. I don’t want to settle for anything less. Besides, anything you like, I’m willing to buy it for you.”
“It’s eight million!”
