Chapter 543: The Azure Blood Demon Monkey King

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

The first demonic monkey charged straight towards the members of the Flying Dragon Gang.
“You fiend, no more nonsense!” The slightly portly elder beside the young man in white snapped. With a cold huff, he clapped his hands together, sending out a palm strike towards the demonic monkey.
Though there was some distance between them, the elder’s strike landed first. A golden glow radiated from his right palm as it struck the demonic monkey’s chest, producing a crisp sound, as if something had shattered.
The monstrous monkey was sent back three steps by the elder’s blow, and its fur suddenly stood on end, as if flames had ignited on its body. With a huge paw, it attempted to strike the elder’s head.
The elder, demonstrating great agility, easily dodged the monkey’s blow. He retreated a few steps before rapidly forming a hand seal. A golden glow rapidly converged around his hands, forming a golden dragon-patterned sword in the blink of an eye.
“Beast, take this!” The elder shouted, and with a swift motion, the golden dragon-patterned sword flew from his hand directly towards the monkey’s head.
Fear flashed in the monkey’s eyes, and with no time to dodge, it could only raise its arm for a block. The golden sword came down, slicing off the monkey’s arm as cleanly as if it were cutting a carrot.
Blue blood sprayed from the monkey’s wound as the severed arm fell to the ground. The elder muttered to himself, “It’s an Azure Blood Demon Monkey.” He then executed a graceful flip and landed firmly on the ground after retrieving his sword.
The massive monkey’s ability to stand only lasted for three seconds before it collapsed to the ground with a resounding crash. Blue blood continued to gush from its severed limb, creating a gruesome scene.
The elder merely cast a faint glance at the Azure Blood Demon Monkey’s lifeless body, maintaining his composure. He then turned and rejoined the young man in white.
On the other side, the second Azure Blood Demon Monkey had been dealt with by the old woman accompanying Joe.
The third Azure Blood Demon Monkey charged into the group of other martial artists, who, at the cost of one death and three injuries, managed to kill it.
Leo’s complete attention had been on the elder from the Flying Dragon Gang. Witnessing the elder amass inner power and transform it into a sword was slightly awe-inspiring.
Martial Monarchs were indeed extraordinary.
The remaining two Azure Blood Demon Monkeys, after seeing three of their companions brutally killed, began to rage and roar. However, they did not immediately attack but instead produced terrifying howls.
Amidst the terrifying and ear-piercing cries, the spirit monkeys that had been rendered unconscious by the hypnotic incense earlier started showing signs of awakening.
Fear was evident on the faces of the group. If all the monkeys inside the cave woke up, it would be a terrifying situation.
“Ursula…” Joe began, but the old woman interrupted, “Miss Joe, stay safe. I’ll go and deal with one of the Azure Blood Demon Monkeys.”
With her words, the old woman dashed towards the fourth Azure Blood Demon Monkey.
The young man in white, who was Lance Eliot, the young master of the Flying Dragon Gang, glanced at Joe not far away. Then he turned to the two elderly men by his side and said, “Master Wind, Elder Fire, please help us take care of the last Azure Blood Demon Monkey.”
Master Wind and Master Fire exchanged a look and simultaneously charged towards the fifth Azure Blood Demon Monkey.
Three minutes later, the two Azure Blood Demon Monkeys had been slain by the three experts from the Hundred Flowers Sect and the Flying Dragon Gang.
Upon seeing all five Azure Blood Demon Monkeys killed, the two martial artists nearest to the cave entrance couldn’t contain their excitement and hurriedly rushed into the cave. After all, the quantity of honey wine was limited, and the first ones to enter the cave would have the chance to obtain it.
Although the Azure Blood Demon Monkeys had been killed by their people, they were still outpaced by others rushing into the cave, which darkened Lance Eliot’s expression. However, he wasn’t in a hurry, confident that he could take the honey wine even if those two snatched it first.
Without further delay, Lance Eliot gave a signal, and accompanied by Master Wind and Master Fire, he entered the cave. Joe and the elderly woman followed closely behind, and the remaining martial artists entered one by one, with Leo and his companions being the last to go in.
The cave was as spacious as the previous one, and though the light was dim, it posed no problem for the martial artists’ vision.
After walking for approximately three or four minutes, they heard a dull thud, as if something had been forcefully slammed onto the ground.
After covering some more distance, their field of vision suddenly expanded. A few of the more timid martial artists couldn’t help but cry out in alarm.
On the left side, a person had been slammed into the wall, their brain matter mixed with blood flowing down, a horrific sight. This unfortunate individual was likely one of the two martial artists who had entered the cave earlier.
A terrifying roar shook their hearts.
The group immediately turned their gazes toward the source of the sound and saw an even larger Azure Blood Demon Monkey emerging from the shadows. This particular monkey had learned a move from gorillas and was pounding its chest while roaring.
Moreover, something quite peculiar was noticed by the group: the enormous Azure Blood Demon Monkey was wearing a leather armor. It was unclear whether it had crafted the armor itself or found it somewhere.
A menacing, cruel aura, almost tangible, kept emanating from the massive Azure Blood Demon Monkey. Judging from this aura, it was no less powerful than a martial artist at the Martial Saint level.
Someone suddenly exclaimed, “My God, it’s the Azure Blood Demon Monkey King!”
Monkeys are social animals, and with the appearance of so many spirit monkeys in a row, it was only natural that there would be a monkey king among them.
Just about three meters away from the Azure Blood Demon Monkey King, one of the two martial artists who had rushed into the cave earlier lay on the ground, screaming in agony. His legs appeared to be broken, and he was dragging himself away from the monkey king, desperate to escape.
The eyes of the Azure Blood Demon Monkey King seemed to burn with two raging flames, and after a furious roar, it crushed the martial artist lying in front of it with a single stomp, reducing him to a bloody pulp.
Having killed two martial artists in quick succession, the Azure Blood Demon Monkey King scanned the people ahead with a baleful gaze. Pounding its chest once more, it seemed to be warning everyone that this was its territory and they had two choices: flee for their lives or die right there.
Many among the group noticed that behind the Azure Blood Demon Monkey King, there were five dimly lit caves. If the rumors about the honey wine were true, then the wine had to be inside one of those caves!
