Chapter 539: Any Justice in the World

Soon, Violet came back with a flyer and handed it to Leo. Leo thanked her and began browsing through the brochure.
The brochure was beautifully designed, featuring images of about twenty to thirty auction items, each accompanied by a brief description below.
As Leo scrolled through the listings, he saw various items, including a thousand-year Fire Spirit Lingzhi, the Tornado Strike manual, Valeria Profound Iron, and even third-grade medicinal pills like the “Soul Nurturing Pill”.
When he reached the ninth image, his pupils contracted, for he had found what he was searching for-a Snowspirit Flower!
Violet also spotted the beautiful Snowspirit Flower in the ninth image and said with a grin, “Leo, you’re in luck. There’s a Snowspirit Flower among the auction items tomorrow.”
Leo pondered for a moment, realizing that he had purchased a considerable amount of Energy Grass earlier. He decided to wait a bit, buy some more auxiliary herbs, produce a batch of Vitality Pills, and then bid on the Snowspirit Flower once the Alchemy Research Institute authentication results were available. He believed this plan should work out.
Continuing to review the auction items, there were secrets of martial arts like the Falling Petal Fist, Dragon-Binding Rope, and more. As he scrolled down, the items became progressively rarer and more valuable. The auction had a comprehensive range of items, including spirit herbs, martial arts manuals, weapon crafting materials, and even weapons themselves. It was no wonder that it had attracted so many martial cultivators to East Town.
Leo’s gaze eventually fell on the last image. His expression changed once again, and a hint of surprise flashed in his deep eyes.
The final image displayed a large jade stone, about the size of a dinner plate. The jade was clear, transparent, and incredibly lustrous. Even with a cursory look, it was evident that this item was extraordinary.
The brief description below the image simply read: “Fragrance-Sensing Divine Jade.”
According to legend, the Fragrance-Sensing Divine Jade not only stabilized one’s mind and protected against mental disturbances but also enhanced the speed of cultivation. If this jade were placed nearby during training, it could increase cultivation speed by more than two times!
Seeing the Snowspirit Flower and the Fragrance-Sensing Divine Jade at the auction was a fantastic turn of events. Leo had made up his mind to secure the Snowspirit Flower and find a way to obtain the Fragrance-Sensing Divine Jade, provided he had the opportunity.
Simultaneously, Leo planned to start crafting Vitality Pills after dinner in preparation for the auction the next day.
Leo put down the flyer, raised his hand confidently, and declared, “Let’s go, we’re having dinner, and it’s my treat!”
In the northwest part of East Town, there was a place dedicated to food and lodging. The largest restaurant in town was called the Maple Leaf Restaurant. It was styled like a country retreat, covering a large area, offering a pleasant environment, and providing both relaxation and entertainment. Many martial cultivators who came to East Town chose to rest at the Maple Leaf Restaurant.
Violet was well-acquainted with everything in East Town, so she continued to lead the way.
Inside the restaurant, there were over a hundred small courtyards, each offering accommodation and dining. Each courtyard was meticulously decorated to blend seamlessly with the surroundings, providing a sense of being in an ancient garden. However, the expenses here were quite high. Even martial cultivators who wished to enter the Maple Leaf Restaurant had to carefully consider whether they had enough Essence-Building Pills in their pockets.
As Leo and his companions entered the restaurant, they noticed that most of the courtyards had already been reserved. It was clear that numerous martial cultivators had arrived in East Town for the occasion.
Under the guidance of a restaurant staff member, the three of them made their way deeper into the restaurant.
As they crossed a small stream, Leo suddenly stopped in his tracks.
On the other side of the stream, beneath a tall maple tree, there was a square stone table where four people were seated. On the table, there was tea, emanating a delicate fragrance.
Among the four individuals, two were familiar to Leo and his companions. They were Brian and the Elder of the Fiery Blaze Sect they had met last night.
The other two individuals were also dressed in black tailored clothing, adorned with a flame emblem on their left chests.
One of them had a calm demeanor, a square face, and a dignified presence. He should be the Fiery Blaze Sect’s sect master, Darcy Bush.
The other was slender and older than the Elder with Brian before. His hair and eyebrows had turned completely white, and in his murky old eyes, there were occasional glimmers of cold light. He was presumably another elder of the Fiery Blaze Sect.
Leo was somewhat surprised by this unexpected encounter with his old adversaries.
Brian naturally noticed Leo and his companions. His eyes displayed a moment of surprise, followed by a cold smile as he stood up. “They say old grudges die hard, and this is probably what they mean.”
Leo also smiled and responded, “Brian Bush, we meet again.”
“Brian, who are these three?” Darcy Bush’s gaze fell on Leo, and he could tell from his son’s tone that Brian had a unpleasant history with these individuals.
Brian replied with a stern tone, “Dad, this guy is Leo Bloomer, the Honorary Sect Leader of the Seven Stars Sword Sect. The one on his left is the newly appointed Sect Leader, Master Jennifer of the Seven Stars Sword Sect, and the girl on his right is the thief who stole our Luminescent Blood Fruit.”
Hearing Brian’s words, Darcy Bush’s expression immediately turned cold. He cast a chilling gaze over Leo and his companions.
Brian pointed at Leo with anger, “Dad, the people from the Seven Stars Sword Sect not only protected that little thief last night, but they also took our month-long gains from the Falling Sunset Mountain Range and over two hundred Essence-Building Pills that we had on us!”
Violet wasn’t afraid of the Fiery Blaze Sect members at all. She chuckled, “You, old man, are probably quite a bit older than me, yet you’re shamelessly tattling on your own father. How shameless.”
“You little brat, what did you say!?” Brian was so furious at Violet’s words that he didn’t know whether to respond or stay silent.
Darcy Bush looked at Leo and Master Jennifer, and in a stern tone, he said, “Master Jennifer, you from the Seven Stars Sword Sect may protect this little brat, but to actually snatch the belongings of my son and the senior of my Fiery Blaze Sect, shouldn’t you explain yourself for this matter?”
Master Jennifer replied coldly, “Mr. Bush, a week ago, we had two of our disciples from the Seven Stars Sword Sect go missing. I have received reliable information that it was your Fiery Blaze Sect who targeted our disciples. Shouldn’t you explain yourself for this matter too?”
Darcy Bush sneered dismissively, “Your Seven Stars Sword Sect can’t even protect your own disciples, and you dare to slander my Fiery Blaze Sect. Is there any justice in the world?”
Leo immediately retorted, “Last night, the Fiery Blaze Sect’s young master couldn’t even protect his own belongings, and now he’s here to demand from us. Is there any justice in the world for that?”
