Leo nodded to Henry and said, “Mr. Lynd, you’re indeed generous. Thanks for the meal.”
Although Henry was feeling a bit uneasy, he didn’t want to create a scene in front of the beautiful lady. He put on an appearance of generosity, waving his fan as he asked, “May I know your name, sir?”
Leo thought for a moment and replied with a smile, “I’m Leo Bloomer.”
As Henry pondered the name, he realized he hadn’t heard of a Bloomer family among the well-known martial clans and sects he was familiar with. Leo seemed to belong to an obscure or third-rate martial family.
Henry’s contempt for Leo grew, but he refrained from engaging in a lengthy conversation. He had only come closer to this man to get closer to the attractive women.
“Mr. Bloomer, nice to meet you,” Henry said, feigning politeness, shifting his focus to Master Jennifer. “Now that we are acquainted, may I ask the lady’s name?”
The more Henry looked at Master Jennifer, the more he was taken by her. Among all the women he had ever seen, she had the best temperament. Just like him, she was a grand martial master, and if they were to dual cultivate, within the next two or three years, they could probably advance to the next level.
Originally reluctant to engage with Henry, Master Jennifer felt obligated to respond since Leo had treated them to a meal. After a moment’s hesitation, she revealed her name.
“Jennifer, your name suits you well, and you are truly exquisite, almost like a celestial being,” Henry praised wholeheartedly upon hearing Master Jennifer’s name. “Jennifer, I assume you and your companion are also headed to Falling Sunset Mountain?”
Leo countered, “Mr. Lynd, are you also heading to Falling Sunset Mountain?”
Henry nodded and said, “The Falling Sunset Mountain martial trading fair takes place every year, and I attend it without fail. This year, there’s going to be a grand auction, and I couldn’t afford to miss it.”
When Leo mentioned the auction, he couldn’t help but glance at Master Jennifer.
Master Jennifer’s beautiful eyes showed a hint of surprise. It was evident that she was unaware of the upcoming auction. Her last visit to Falling Sunset Mountain had been five years ago.
Having realized that Leo and Master Jennifer were unaware of the auction, Henry, who was petting the Ice Plains Wolf beside him, felt a sense of satisfaction. “The auction this time is being organized by the Gunter family from the East, and it’s going to attract martial practitioners from all over the nation. From what I’ve heard, the auction will feature many treasures, making it a highly anticipated event.”
In Henry’s view, Leo and Master Jennifer weren’t a couple. Even if they were, Henry believed that due to his background in the second-rate martial family, he could easily overshadow Leo and win over Master Jennifer.
As they were in the midst of their conversation, two male waiters entered carrying a roasted whole lamb.
“Sir, is this roasted whole lamb for your wolf?” one of the waiters inquired, recalling Henry’s wolf.
Just an hour ago, Henry had ordered a roasted whole lamb for his wolf. Now, they were bringing another one. Was the wolf so ravenous that it could devour another whole lamb?
The wolf raised its head to glance at the roasted lamb, showing absolutely no interest. It had already eaten an entire roasted lamb earlier, and as delicious as lamb was, it couldn’t eat another one.
“Mr. Bloomer, this roasted lamb is specially prepared for fierce beast mounts. Would you like to taste it?” The roasted lamb was only included to mock Leo, in revenge for him ordering over two hundred dishes and racking up a massive bill.
Watching the Arctic wolf lying next to Henry, Leo suddenly had an idea. “You have a wolf, huh? Well, I’ll bring in a king of beasts.”
“Mr. Lynd, wait a moment. I’ll go outside and call in the tiger for a meal,” Leo said, getting up and heading towards the door.
Now, not only Henry but also Master Jennifer was puzzled. Henry wondered if there was a third person with them. Why hadn’t he seen it earlier?
Though not understanding this, seeing Leo getting up and leaving, Henry felt delighted. This was an opportunity to have a private conversation with Master Jennifer.
As Leo exited the restaurant, the food was already being served.
“Jennifer, this soup here is very delicious and great for skin care. You should try it…” Henry introduced the dishes in great detail, but Master Jennifer barely replied, leaving him a little frustrated. However, the more distant and aloof she was, the more Henry seemed to like her. Conquering such a cool woman would be an accomplishment.
Outside the restaurant, Leo walked to a secluded spot and took out a talisman from his pocket. He placed it on the ground and, with a hand gesture, uttered, “Release!”
A burst of flames erupted, and a tiger larger than the Arctic wolf appeared. The tiger even had long, saber-toothed fangs, an extinct species known as the saber-toothed tiger for over ten thousand years.
Ever since advancing to the intermediate spirit master realm, Leo discovered a new ability – the power to use a talisman as a base and create illusions known as spiritual item materialization. This advanced illusion technique was impossible to discern for non-immortal cultivators.
At Leo’s current level of cultivation, this spiritual item materialization could be maintained for two hours.
Leo snapped his fingers, signaling the saber-toothed tiger to join him, and they entered the restaurant.
The appearance of the saber-toothed tiger quickly caused a commotion in the restaurant, with gasps and shouts spreading like wildfire.
The wolf, which had been lying next to Henry, seemed to sense a threat. It immediately stood up, turned its head, and stared in the direction from which the saber-toothed tiger was approaching.
“My goodness, it’s a saber-toothed tiger, already extinct!” Someone exclaimed.
Henry had also seen the saber-toothed tiger and wore a shocked expression on his face. The sense of superiority he had from having an Arctic Wolf vanished instantly. This saber-toothed tiger was stronger and larger in size. Henry suspected it belonged to a member of some martial sect or family.
In the next moment, when Henry spotted Leo beside the saber-toothed tiger, his face went stiff. Could this young man be the owner of that saber-toothed tiger?
Master Jennifer also appeared bewildered. When did Leo acquire a wild beast, and when did he bring it here? She was completely in the dark.
As the saber-toothed tiger passed by the wolf, its eyes, like small copper bells, stared at the wolf.
