Demon Night’s massive wolf-like body began to dodge and weave at an incredible speed, avoiding most of the small flying swords. However, a small fraction of the swords managed to pierce Demon Night’s skin, staining his towering form in blood.
“Howl!”
Demon Night raised his terrifying wolf head, letting out a ferocious howl, and his wounds began to rapidly heal in the midst of that chilling cry.
“The werewolf’s regenerative ability is truly terrifying,” Leo’s face turned solemn.
It was rumored that the Western wolf clans and bloodsuckers possessed extraordinary self-healing capabilities.
Silver weapons could harm werewolves, and the wounds caused by silver would give them an intense burning sensation, far worse than fire, and those wounds wouldn’t heal easily. But where was Leo supposed to find silver weapons now?
“Damn, you’re going to die!” Demon Night erupted, his feet kicking the ground forcefully. His mountainous figure charged relentlessly at Leo, his fists descending like massive iron hammers, one after another.
In the wake of the booming impacts, the ground where Leo stood was pocked with numerous craters, obscuring everything in a cloud of dust and debris.
Leo temporarily assumed a defensive stance. In the midst of evasion, he flicked his right hand, attaching an Ice Talisman to Demon Night’s body.
“Ice Talisman, activate!” Leo’s command rang out.
“Crack…”
The paper talisman affixed to Demon Night’s body instantly turned into a white radiance and disappeared. Following that, thick ice rapidly spread from Demon Night’s chest to envelop his entire body.
In just two or three breaths, every part of Demon Night’s body, except for his terrifying wolf head, was covered in a thick layer of ice.
For the time being, Demon Night was immobilized.
Seizing this opportunity, Leo gripped the Blue Phantom Sword, launched himself into the air, and aimed a direct thrust at Demon Night’s throat.
With the Blue Phantom Sword nearly piercing Demon Night’s throat, his body suddenly swelled, causing the ice covering him to shatter.
The next moment, one of Demon Night’s wolf claws snatched the Blue Phantom Sword aimed at his throat. At this point, the sword tip was less than a centimeter away from Demon Night’s throat. It was a close call!
Leo’s face turned ashen. He attempted to pull back the Blue Phantom Sword, but it was firmly caught by Demon Night’s wolf claw. Even with a strong tug, Leo couldn’t budge it.
Frustrated, Leo infused his Spiritual Power into the Blue Phantom Sword.
The sword emitted a peculiar blue radiance, and when Leo tugged it again, Demon Night couldn’t maintain his grip, resulting in a bloody gash in his palm.
Demon Night extended his tongue to lick the wounded palm, much like a lone wolf tending to its injury, making him appear even more fearsome.
This werewolf was proving incredibly tough to handle, so Leo decided to go all out.
He retracted the Blue Phantom Sword, and with both his left and right hands, he summoned five Thunderburst Talismans.
The Thunderburst Talismans formed a circle around Demon Night.
Sensing the danger, Demon Night reached for the floating talismans, attempting to grab them. But every time he moved, the talismans would retreat as if they had a life of their own.
Leo’s hands moved swiftly, weaving a complex seal. With the seal’s transformation, his Spiritual Power surged and transformed into five crimson streams, which flowed into the five Thunderburst Talismans.
“Hum!”
All five talismans flickered, radiating a dazzling crimson glow that interwove with one another.
Demon Night’s crimson wolf eyes revealed a hint of fear. He attempted to leap out of the circle formed by the talismans.
“Meet your end, Five-Symbol Thunderburst Formation, activate!” Leo’s seal changed once more, and he shouted.
“Boom!”
As Leo’s voice fell, the five interwoven Thunderburst Talismans exploded, creating a deafening boom. Amid the resounding explosion, the formidable lightning repeatedly struck Demon Night’s towering body.
“Howl… Ah!”
Under the onslaught of lightning, Demon Night let out painful howls.
“Damn, you will pay a heavy price for your actions!”
Amidst Demon Night’s cries of agony, his body was entirely engulfed by the lightning.
However, soon an extremely malevolent aura emanated from the ball of lightning. Then, the lightning began to rapidly dissipate.
In less than a minute, the thunderous sphere that had surrounded Demon Night disappeared without a trace.
“Boom!”
After a plume of black mist dispersed, Demon Night’s towering figure reappeared.
At this moment, Demon Night’s body was charred, looking as if he had just crawled out of a coal mine. It was a comical sight, given his previously menacing presence.
Leo, however, couldn’t afford to laugh. He had noticed that Demon Night was now holding a black dagger.
The blade of the dagger was etched with eerie purple runes, exuding a sinister aura that sent shivers down one’s spine.
The Five-Symbol Thunderburst Formation had failed to deal with this werewolf, leaving Leo feeling somewhat apprehensive.
“Pitiful little trick, you can’t harm me at all. Mere humans, you have allowed me to summon the sacred weapon of the wolf clan, Al’s Dagger. I will use your blood as a sacrifice to the mighty Al!” Demon Night’s wolf face bore an expression of arrogant confidence.
“Al’s Dagger, what in the world is that?” Leo’s gaze once again fell on the dagger in Demon Night’s hand.
Intuition told Leo that the dagger was something to be feared and that it carried an overwhelming evil presence.
However, based on his instincts, this black dagger could be considered a spiritual weapon.
“Great Lord of Darkness, Al, your humble servant Nadia wields your weapon, eager to restore your glory!”
Demon Night raised Al’s Dagger over his head and shouted loudly, with a submissive expression on his ferocious wolf head.
As his words fell, the sinister purple runes on the black dagger flickered, and black flames instantly surrounded the dagger, creating an eerie spectacle.
From this moment, Demon Night’s aura began to rise, and his towering wolf-like body became suffused with an extreme malevolent power.
Using the power of Al’s Dagger, Demon Night’s form grew even more aggressive and formidable.
“Pitiful man, I will use Al’s Dagger to cut you down, then let your soul endure the torment of the malevolent flames.” Demon Night tightly gripped the black dagger in his hand and looked down at Leo, who was not even half his height.
Following that, Demon Night let out a wolf-like howl, his feet pushed off the ground, and his massive body charged towards Leo, Al’s Dagger wreathed in black flames, descending upon him.
“Wow, his speed increased again!” Leo exclaimed in surprise, forced to summon another Diamond Talisman.
“Crack!”
The tip of Al’s Dagger stabbed into the faint golden light shield.
The shield held for only two seconds before it shattered and dissipated.
Yet, those brief two seconds provided Leo with the time to evade. He tiptoed, sending his body floating to the doorway of an abandoned building behind him.
“Pitiful human, you cannot escape!”
Demon Night brandished Al’s Dagger, and his colossal wolf-like body launched itself at the entrance of the derelict building where Leo stood.
