Chapter 464: Tasty Juice

Ever since Leo reached the intermediate level as a spirit master, he discovered one thing: if he practiced at night, he didn’t need to sleep. After a practice session, he felt even more energized than after a good night’s rest. Although Sophia wasn’t entirely thrilled about Leo having two rooms, she went along with it.
Sophia had been on a business trip in Colepon City for three days, and time flew by quickly. It was now the evening of the third day. After a nice dinner and a movie, they returned to their hotel.
“Leo, I accomplished something big!” Sophia said, her enthusiasm evident.
“What’s the big news?” Leo asked, genuinely curious.
“I conducted a stock reform for the company!”
“Stock reform? What does that mean?” Leo wasn’t well-versed in corporate matters.
“It means I acquired four cosmetics companies without spending a dime,” Sophia explained proudly. “Two of them hold 10% each, and the other two hold 20% each. I have the majority with 40% ownership.”
“Was this why you were on this business trip?” Leo inquired.
“Yes, the two with 10% ownership are local companies here in Colepon. So, through this acquisition, I easily entered the Colepon market,” Sophia said with confidence.
“Congratulations, my wife,” Leo congratulated her.
Elated, Sophia leaned in and kissed Leo. After some sweet words, Leo went to the next room to prepare for the night. Tonight, he wanted to sleep together with Sophia.
But as soon as Leo entered the adjoining room, there was a knock at the door.
Leo paused what he was doing and opened the door to find a hotel staff member holding a tray with dessert and juice.
“Sir, here’s your dessert and juice, enjoy,” the staff member said with a smile.
Receiving dessert and juice in the evening was a unique service at this hotel. Leo had already had it the past two nights, so he habitually took the juice, leaving the dessert untouched.
The hotel’s juice was freshly squeezed and quite tasty. Leo was a bit thirsty, so he downed the glass in a few gulps and handed it back to the staff member.
“Next door is my wife’s room, and she doesn’t eat anything after dinner, so you don’t need to take anything to her,” Leo said.
“Understood, sir,” the staff member replied with a nod.
After finishing the juice, Leo was still a bit curious and couldn’t help but ask, “Your hotel’s juice is delicious. How do you make it?”
The staff member politely responded, “We use organic mountain fruits with plenty of sunlight, free from any fertilizers or pesticides. The natural fruit juices have an exceptional flavor.”
“I see,” Leo nodded. Suddenly, he felt a wave of dizziness, his vision darkened, and with a thud, he collapsed on the floor, motionless.
The staff member’s face filled with concern and fear. She quickly knelt down, tapping Leo’s shoulder and urgently calling out, “Sir, sir, what’s wrong?”
After a while with no response from Leo, the staff member’s expression changed. She let out a long breath, grabbed a walkie-talkie, and whispered, “It’s done.”
Soon, four burly men appeared, swiftly binding Leo with ropes on the ground.
Observing their cautious approach, the staff member couldn’t help but comment, “No need to tie him up so tightly; he won’t wake up for three to four hours.”
“Be cautious. We don’t make mistakes,” one of the men replied coldly.
These individuals were ex-military, and their meticulous style had become second nature to them. Even dealing with an average person like Leo, they took it seriously, avoiding any errors.
“Is the surveillance on this floor turned off?” another man asked in a low voice.
The staff member hurriedly replied, “It was turned off half an hour ago.”
With Leo bundled up like a rice dumpling, the four men lifted him from the ground and headed towards the stairwell.
Not far from the hotel where Leo and Sophia were staying was another luxurious suite in another hotel.
“Well done!” Jacket Man said into his phone and hung up.
He then approached Frank and respectfully said, “Mr. William, it’s all taken care of. The woman in room 308 is waiting for you to enjoy.”
Frank gave an evil grin and took out a blue pill from a small blue bottle, swallowing it with some water. Since that auction incident, Frank had noticed a severe issue below the belt. However, through a special source, he had obtained this “miracle drug” from abroad. One pill could alleviate his symptoms, giving him at least an hour of normality.
“What about that useless Leo?” Frank, ready for action, asked with some concern.
“He’s been taken to the scrapyard by our men. The mercenaries will entertain him well. After you finish your business, you can go over and deal with him.”
“Are you sure there won’t be any mistakes?” For some reason, Frank was never at ease when it came to Leo.
Jacket Man assured him, “There will be absolutely no mistakes, Mr. William. Look, this is a photo sent by the mercenaries half an hour ago.” He took out his phone, opened Facebook, and showed a photo to Frank.
In the picture, Leo was securely tied with ropes, his mouth taped shut, and his eyes closed, appearing to be still unconscious.
Frank felt relieved and praised, “These people are efficient. It wasn’t in vain that I spent so much money.”
After changing his clothes and spritzing some cologne, Frank left with anticipation.
By the time Frank arrived at the hotel where Sophia was staying, it was close to midnight.
As he entered the lobby, the portly hotel manager immediately greeted him with a fawning smile, “Mr. William, everything is prepared for you.”
The manager then pulled a room keycard from his pocket and handed it to Frank respectfully, saying, “Your room is on the third floor, number 308. We’ve tampered with the lock in advance; even if it’s locked from the inside, a swipe of the card will open it.”
Frank accepted the keycard, clearly satisfied, and said, “Well done. There will be a reward for you once this is done.”
With the keycard in hand, Frank eagerly headed for the elevator.
