Chapter 435: Fixing the Computer

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-3

As Leo approached the incomplete small building, he let out a thunderous roar, “Are you all dead? Get out here!”
As his words echoed, a cold voice responded, “You must be Leo Bloomer, the boldest freeloading son-in-law I’ve ever seen.”
Tiger, holding a steel pipe, emerged before Leo.
“Where’s Marico Kingsley?” Leo demanded.
“Don’t worry, he’s perfectly fine. As long as you’ve come, he’s of no more use to us,” Tiger said, tapping his steel pipe.
“Was it Emmanuel or Brook who ordered you to kidnap Marico Kingsley?” Leo inquired.
“One’s already dead, and there’s no need for you to know so much,” Tiger replied.
Even before Tiger could finish his sentence, Leo’s figure suddenly flickered, and he appeared in front of Tiger like lightning.
Seemingly aware of Leo’s formidable attacking skills, Tiger swiftly retreated as Leo made his move, creating a significant distance between them.
“Leo, I know you’re tough, but even if you’re skilled, this place will be your grave,” Tiger taunted.
“I’ll ask you one more time: Where’s Marico Kingsley?” Leo inquired.
“I’ll tell you one more time: he’s a dead man, and you don’t need to know more,” Tiger responded with confidence, considering Leo’s predicament as he was now surrounded by a horde of men armed with various weapons.
Tiger whistled, and in the blink of an eye, dozens of men emerged, each wielding various weapons.
Quickly, these individuals spread out, surrounding Leo.
Leo looked at Tiger, a scornful smile on his face. “You think that using this gang tactic will hold me back? That’s simply naive.”
Tiger laughed with an air of superiority. “Is that so? Later on, you’d better not beg for mercy because that way, I’ll ensure you meet your end quickly and without pain.”
The crowd closed in, and with one command from Tiger, they charged at Leo.
Tiger raised the steel pipe in his hand and swung it forcefully. “Brothers, finish him off!”
A dozen big guys roared, brandishing their weapons, and rushed toward Leo.
For a moment, the sounds of combat and clashing weapons filled the air.
Within a minute, the sounds of battle suddenly ceased.
All the men with weapons sprawled on the ground, moaning for injuries. Some held their heads, others clutched their stomachs, and some cradled their legs. The pitiful cries of pain rang out in the quiet abandoned construction site.
Tiger, who had been standing in front of the small abandoned building, was left in a state of shock. This was entirely outside his script, and he hadn’t even had a chance to see how Leo had managed it. All he could witness was his men falling to the ground, one by one.
At this moment, besides Leo and Tiger, not a single person was left standing. Those injured men were in no condition to stand up.
Terrifying!
Yes, only “terrifying” could describe the scene before them. Tiger had believed that he was thoroughly prepared, thinking that even if Leo was a martial arts expert, he would be overwhelmed by the number of attackers.
But with his bare hands, Leo had effortlessly incapacitated all of his men, who were armed with various weapons.
These men were all equipped with dangerous tools, while Leo was unarmed. After a brief moment of shock, Tiger turned and ran, his heart pounding with fear.
“Whoosh!”
A steel pipe pierced Tiger’s thigh, causing him to fall to the ground. He twisted his body, facing Leo, and implored, “Leo, I was wrong. Spare me, please…”
Leo reached out to remove the steel pipe from Tiger’s leg, pointing it at his head. In a cold and measured tone, he said, “I’ll ask you one more time: Where’s Marico Kingsley? If you utter one false word, I’ll turn your brain into a splatter.”
Tiger had been thoroughly frightened and quickly confessed, “Marico Kingsley is at the Wyndham Grand Hotel. We did indeed kidnap him, but we’ve locked him in the room next to where he was staying. We haven’t harmed him; our only goal was to get you to this abandoned construction site.”
“Who ordered you to do this?” Leo inquired again.
Tiger hesitated.
Leo swung the steel pipe in his hand.
“I’ll say it. It was Mr. Winifred. He instructed me to do all this,” Tiger quickly implicated Brook.
With controlled force, Leo swung the steel pipe towards Tiger’s head, causing him to lose consciousness immediately.
He discarded the steel pipe and dialed Marico Kingsley’s agent, informing him that Marico Kingsley was at the Wyndham Grand Hotel and instructing him to check the room next door. The agent, Elvis, called back shortly after, confirming that they had found Marico Kingsley. He was in the neighboring room, unharmed, having only fainted.
Leo immediately called Sophia, informing her that the situation with Marico Kingsley had been resolved, and he was safe. After ending the call with Sophia, as he was about to call Scar to arrange for some discreet discipline for Brook, another call came in from Coral.
Leo answered the call, and Coral’s voice sounded worried as she asked, “Leo, do you know how to fix computers?”
Fix computers? Leo was slightly taken aback but instinctively replied, “I know a bit.”
“Then hurry over to help me with my computer. I have some crucial data on it that I need urgently,” Coral explained, providing Leo with her address.
After hanging up the call, Leo decided to go and assist her. After all, she was his current employer.
Upon arriving at Coral’s home, Leo immediately began examining her computer. Coral was using a desktop computer, and he quickly identified the issue: a loose memory module.
After reseating the memory module, the computer successfully booted up.
“Leo, you really are a jack of all trades,” Coral exclaimed, looking pleased as she watched Leo fix her computer.
After Leo closed up the computer case, Coral offered him a cup of tea. “You’ve been a great help,” she said.
At that moment, outside Coral’s door, Antony William arrived. Antony was dressed in an elegant cream-colored suit, his hair perfectly styled with gel, and he was holding a bouquet of fresh red roses.
Following Antony was a plump middle-aged man who wore a fawning and obsequious smile on his face.
Antony looked at his attire and adjusted his tie slightly before asking the middle-aged man, “Manager Ted, how do I look today?”
Manager Ted gave a thumbs-up, praising, “Absolutely dashing, Mr. William. Among all the young people I’ve met, you are the most handsome.”
Antony was quite pleased with this compliment. Manager Ted continued, “Mr. Antony, from what I know, many beautiful girls in the company secretly admire you. But in my opinion, only Miss Coral from Wilde Jewelry Group is worthy of you.”
This statement brought even more joy to Antony’s heart.
