Approaching the front desk, Leo directly asked the receptionist, “Where can I find Ford Gregory, the head of Spring Wind Cosmetics?”
The receptionist was still recovering from Leo’s earlier audacity and quickly replied, “Mr. Gregory is on the sixth floor.”
Leo made his way to the elevator and, as it descended, pressed the button for the sixth floor.
Sixth floor, the office of the general manager.
Ford and Larry were in high spirits because they had learned from the media and online news that their plan against Sophia Cosmetics and Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company had been quite successful. Larry was responsible for sales in Merano Group, and with this role, he had successfully sabotaged Sophia Cosmetics by swapping their cosmetic products with problematic ones. This not only harmed Sophia Cosmetics but also caused trouble for Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company. It was a cunning move that hit two birds with one stone.
After consumers experienced allergic reactions to the cosmetics, Ford spent money to hire an online army to manipulate public opinion. They quickly gained control of the narrative, ensuring that Sophia Cosmetics Company wouldn’t have a chance to turn things around.
“Leo, you’ve crossed me, and I’ll show you just how terrifying the consequences can be!” Ford tapped the ash off his cigar and leaned back in his chair, smirking.
Turning to Larry, Ford commended him, “Larry, you’ve done an excellent job with this. I’m very satisfied.”
“Mr. Gregory, I couldn’t stand working under Trista Bronte. Since I decided to follow you, I’ve been determined to make Merano Group, Sophia Cosmetics, and Herbal Magic Cosmetics Company vanish completely from Langstel!” Larry spoke with great enthusiasm.
Ford declared boldly, “With the two of us working together, we can crush Sophia Cosmetics, Merano Group, and anything else that stands in our way!”
As Ford’s words echoed, a loud crash interrupted them.
Both Ford and Larry were startled by the sudden noise and turned to look towards the door.
When they saw who had just entered the room, Ford’s expression contorted with fear.
Soon, that fear took root in Ford’s eyes.
“Leo Bloomer, what do you want!?” Ford suddenly stood up from his chair, trembling.
The memories of Leo’s previous actions were etched deeply into Ford’s mind. Even if Ford wasn’t afraid of Leo mentally, his body still couldn’t help but shudder.
Though Larry was seeing Leo for the first time, he had heard of Leo’s reputation. Seeing Ford so nervous, Larry couldn’t help but feel anxious too.
Leo approached Ford step by step, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
“Why are you smiling?” Ford mustered the courage to ask.
“I thought I heard someone saying they were going to rub Sophia Cosmetics into the ground. Is that true?” Leo asked Ford with a dark, foreboding tone.
“Leo, let me remind you, this is Spring Wind Cosmetics, my territory. You better not cause trouble here, or I’ll make sure you regret it!” Ford bravely warned.
“Bang!”
Leo’s palm slammed onto Ford’s desk, leaving behind a massive handprint in the solid wood surface. When Leo removed his hand, the desk bore a visible mark.
Larry was shocked by this display. He had assumed that men who married into wealth were usually pushovers, but Leo shattered that stereotype.
This man, who had been considered a wastrel son-in-law, was incredibly bold!
Ford still harbored a deep fear of Leo. After all, with Leo’s combat prowess, a hundred like Ford wouldn’t stand a chance. If he could take on Leo directly, he wouldn’t have resorted to covert tactics.
“Leo, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I never provoked you!” Ford felt a chill creeping up his spine. Leo’s presence was making him regret targeting Sophia Cosmetics Company.
Now that Leo had come looking for him, it meant he knew who was behind this scheme.
Although Leo had the power to strike fear into Ford’s heart, he refrained from physical violence. When dealing with villains, slow torment could be more satisfying.
“You didn’t provoke me? So, was it my imagination when I walked in here?” Leo sneered.
Ford planned to deny everything. With clenched teeth, he responded, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was just discussing today’s news with a friend.”
Leo turned his gaze to Larry and coldly asked, “Ford says he doesn’t know what I’m talking about. Do you know?”
Larry, trembling under Leo’s intense gaze, quickly shook his head. “I don’t know anything. I’m clueless.”
A palpable sense of menace filled the office, leaving Ford and Larry breathless.
“Very well, the two of you make quite a team, singing in harmony,” Leo remarked as he casually took a seat on the sofa. “It seems your memories need some refreshing. I think I should provide that.”
“Leo, there’s no need for theatrics here. I don’t have time for your nonsense. I need to get back to work. Please leave, or I’ll call the police!” Ford attempted to dismiss Leo.
“Call the police?” Leo suddenly stood up from the sofa and took two steps forward. He then slammed his palm onto Ford’s desk.
A loud crash followed by a sharp cracking sound rang through the room. Leo had split the large wooden desk in half, and the contents scattered onto the floor.
“Ford, I gave you a chance to admit your mistake, but you not only failed to appreciate it, you’ve also tested my patience,” Leo declared. With that, he delivered a punch straight to Ford’s face.
Though Ford had prepared himself, he couldn’t evade the blow. Leo’s punch, charged with a powerful force, sent Ford flying, crashing into the wall. Blood flowed from his nose and mouth.
While Leo dealt with Ford, Larry seized the opportunity. He grabbed a chair and swung it at Leo’s back.
Leo swiftly turned around and shattered the chair with a single punch. Then, without hesitation, he struck Larry in the chest.
Just like Ford, Larry was sent flying, crashing into the wall. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and lay on the ground motionless.
Leo walked over to Ford, lifted his foot, and stomped on Ford’s hand, which was not wrapped in bandages.
“Ah!!” A piercing scream echoed through the office.
