“Fueled by Fire!” Leo formed a hand seal with his right hand and shouted out loud.
The next moment, the spiritual energy inside Jennifer’s body turned into a deep blue spiritual fire, starting to burn away the gray aura within her.
Jennifer immediately felt an intense heat within her, turning her originally fair face bright red. Her body started to heat up, and she couldn’t control the slight trembling.
Gritting her teeth, Jennifer endured the immense pain, sweat forming on her forehead.
“You must endure, we’re almost there!” Leo tightly held her wrist and encouraged her.
One minute later, a strange fragrance emanated from Jennifer’s body.
Smelling the scent, Jennifer couldn’t help but be surprised, “This is the scent of Soft Fragrance Powder!”
This guy named Leo had actually forced the Soft Fragrance Powder out of her body!
Although the pain in Jennifer’s abdomen had eased slightly, it was still painful. She dared not speak and held on tightly.
Five minutes later, the gray aura in Jennifer’s body was completely cleared by the spiritual fire.
Leo waved his right hand upward, creating a strong airflow that carried away the strange odor in the surroundings.
Then Leo released Jennifer’s wrist.
“You can now try to activate your inner energy using the cultivation technique you’ve practiced,” Leo said.
Jennifer’s heart raced with excitement as she attempted to circulate her inner energy through her meridians.
The next moment, a powerful aura erupted from Jennifer’s body.
“My inner energy and cultivation have both been restored!” Jennifer couldn’t contain her joy.
As a martial practitioner, Jennifer was well aware of how difficult it was to counteract the effects of Soft Fragrance Powder. Otherwise, with her knowledge of medicine, she wouldn’t have been helpless during her four years of captivity.
That’s why Leo’s ability to detoxify her and help her recover her inner energy and cultivation in such a short time filled her with excitement and elation.
“Your inner energy has been restored, it’s time to go after Jeff and Janet together,” Leo said.
“My master died a miserable death because of Janet’s poison. You must hand that poisonous woman over to me for justice!” A hint of murderous intent flashed in Jennifer’s beautiful eyes.
“No problem, let’s go.” Leo turned and walked towards the cave exit.
Jennifer first approached Little Stone and said softly, “Little Stone, you need to stay in the house and wait for your sister to come back, okay?”
Little Stone understood that his beautiful big sister was about to do something very important and nodded obediently.
After comforting Little Stone, Jennifer and Franklin followed Leo out of the cave.
With Franklin, the living map, by their side, finding Jeff without being noticed was relatively easy.
Along the way, Franklin led the way, and the three of them crossed the rugged back mountain, heading towards Jeff’s residence.
Since Leo’s last intrusion, the Seven Stars Sword Sect had strengthened its guard and patrol forces.
Under Franklin’s guidance, the three successfully avoided several rounds of patrols.
Only in situations where there was no other choice, would Franklin distract the patrolling disciples, allowing Leo to secretly knock them out.
Before long, the three reached a wall behind a pavilion.
Peering out from behind the wall, they saw a martial training ground paved with bluestone tiles in front of them. Beyond the training ground was Jeff’s residence.
“Although there are patrolling people, it does seem unusually quiet,” Jennifer murmured with a furrowed brow.
Leo squinted and scanned the area. “You’re right, something doesn’t feel right.”
“Franklin, Jennifer, you two wait here. I’ll go ahead and investigate. If anything goes wrong, you can come to my aid,” Leo said to Jennifer and Franklin.
Jennifer nodded, “Be careful.”
Leo channeled his energy into his feet and moved like the wind. In no time, he crossed the training ground and headed straight for Jeff’s main building.
Approaching the front of the main building, Leo scanned the surroundings and then walked straight in.
However, just as Leo entered the doorway, a piercing alarm suddenly went off.
Leo’s heart clenched, and he looked to his right, where he spotted a concealed device in the corner.
It was an infrared alarm; it would sound an alarm whenever it detected any object passing through.
Leo was surprised to see that the Seven Stars Sword Sect had invested in such advanced security measures.
At that moment, a mocking voice echoed, “Kid, you didn’t disappoint us. We knew you’d come eventually, so we prepared modern equipment just for you.”
Jeff and his wife Janet appeared in the hall, both wearing black cloaks.
“Since you’ve come today, don’t think you can leave!” Janet’s face was terrifying, and her voice sounded eerie.
Leo stared fearlessly at the two of them and said in a deep voice, “I was wondering if you two were hiding, but since you’re both here, it makes things easier for me.”
Jeff sneered, “You’re arrogant. Today, since you’ve come, let’s settle all our scores.”
As Jeff spoke, he stepped forward and sent a surge of dark energy into the floor.
“Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…”
A series of sounds followed as steel bars, about the thickness of a forearm, shot up from the ground, encircling Leo within a cage, all within a five-meter radius of him. The bars quickly formed a steel cage, reaching up to the ceiling.
Leo’s expression tightened, and he flicked his finger, sending a blast of energy towards one of the steel bars.
“Ding!”
The energy blade struck the steel bar, leaving a small metallic mark but failing to break it.
Jeff sneered, “Give up struggling. This steel cage was custom-made for you, forged from high-quality steel. Even if you use a sword as sharp as the one that cuts iron like mud, it won’t help.”
Leo’s face turned cold as he looked down at the ground. He drew his Blue Phantom Sword and slashed at the floor.
“Clang, clang, clang…”
The sturdy floor was quickly cleaved into several pieces by the Blue Phantom Sword. Leo lifted one of the pieces, revealing another layer of steel beneath!
“Don’t waste your energy. Whether it’s the floor or the ceiling, they’re made of the same high-quality steel. Even if you have divine abilities, you won’t escape from this steel cage,” Janet’s voice sounded chilling in Leo’s ears.
Leo’s face grew even colder; he had obviously fallen into their trap. Jeff and Janet had anticipated his arrival and set up an ambush here.
