Chapter 348: Fighting Fire with Fire

Franklin couldn’t wrap his head around it. The only thing he understood now was that, in his quest to help Dina vent her frustrations, he had sealed the fate of the entire Stone family.
Franklin was far from content. He raised his head and questioned Abraham, “Abraham, this guy named Leo is supposed to be the son-in-law of the Henley family. Why are you listening to him? Have you got the wrong person?”
“Wrong person?” Abraham snorted coldly. “Franklin, you can offend anyone you like, but you shouldn’t offend Mr. Bloomer. Both you and the Stone family will pay a heavy price for this.”
“Abraham, we’re friends. You can’t treat me like this. You can’t listen to this useless son-in-law. I can give you money, I can give you a million!” Franklin pleaded desperately.
Abraham didn’t want to waste any more words on him. If he angered Leo further, he would suffer as well. So he waved to his men, “Take Franklin and throw him out onto the street.”
“Yes!” Abraham’s men replied, then dragged Franklin out like a dead dog.
Franklin kept screaming and crying, but it was all in vain.
The men and women in the private room were utterly baffled. Although they didn’t know who Abraham was, seeing Franklin pleading desperately earlier was a clear sign that Abraham must be even more influential than Franklin.
Now, this sudden appearance of Abraham addressing Leo as “Mr. Bloomer” and showing such deference indicated that Leo was even more influential than Abraham.
So, the question remained: Who exactly was Leo?
A son-in-law of the Henley family, a man who lived off his wife, a seemingly useless guy-there was no way someone like Abraham would show such respect to him.
“Is this Leo guy really Sophia’s husband?”
“He’s terrifying. This man, who everyone called useless, is like a demon when he’s angry.”
“This man can bring down the entire Stone family with a wave of his hand. I suddenly feel sorry for Dina, who just married into the Stone family and fell from grace so quickly.”
“A true hero is always low-key, ready to face all kinds of challenges. Sophia’s husband has done that. I suddenly realize that Leo is way more attractive than Franklin’s show-off style. If I had a husband like him, it would be wonderful.”
Leo had no fondness for these fair-weather friends who were changing sides with the wind. He turned and walked towards Sophia and Karen.
First, he kicked down those men who were still suffering from the effects of the drugs. Then, he took Sophia from Karen’s arms.
Sophia hooked her hands around Leo’s neck, her eyes hazy as she looked at him. Her body was wriggling in his arms, and she breathed out gently, “Leo… I… I feel so hot…”
Leo was tantalized by Sophia’s actions and demeanor, but he forced himself to regain composure. He extended his right index finger and lightly tapped her forehead.
His spiritual power flowed into Sophia’s body, rapidly neutralizing the drug’s effects. As the drug’s influence waned, Sophia’s body stopped wriggling, and her temperature rapidly dropped.
She stayed motionless in Leo’s embrace, as if she were asleep.
Today was Sophia’s birthday, and even though she was fine now, Leo didn’t want to see this happen. He had underestimated Dina and Franklin’s hatred for Sophia. He couldn’t allow such a malicious woman to escape easily.
Leo turned his attention to the men who had been tormented by the drugs, lying on the floor. An evil idea crossed his mind. The best way to deal with villains was to fight fire with fire.
Leo placed Sophia on the sofa and then turned to Abraham. “Have your men take Dina to the adjacent private room.”
Abraham paused for a moment, but soon understood what Leo intended to do.
“Very well, Mr. Bloomer!” Abraham replied and left the private room.
Poor Dina, after Abraham left, was dragged by several men into the adjacent room. In the private room, she realized what was happening and cried out in fear, “Abraham, why did you bring me here? Please, let me go!”
“Stop yelling and stay here quietly!” Abraham shouted angrily before leaving the room.
Back in the VIP room, Abraham reported to Leo, “Mr. Bloomer, as per your request, Dina has been placed in the adjacent room.”
“Throw these garbage on the floor into that room as well,” Leo instructed again.
Abraham immediately signaled his men to drag the male classmates, who had been tormented by the drugs, out of the room.
Then Leo’s gaze fell on the bottle of Lafite wine on the nearby table. He picked it up, took a sniff, and shook it gently. He found that there was still about half a bottle left.
Leo handed the Lafite to Abraham. “Pour all the remaining wine into that woman’s mouth.”
Abraham took the Lafite and walked out of the room.
In the adjacent room, Abraham’s men restrained Dina and poured the remaining Lafite wine into her mouth.
As the Lafite entered her system, Dina completely broke down. She now understood the consequences of offending Leo.
Soon, she felt the drug taking effect in her body.
In the private room, the male classmates who had been tormented by the drugs were in agony, their eyes bloodshot. They lunged towards Dina like zombies.
Abraham instructed his men to leave the room and locked the door behind them.
From inside the room came the terrified screams of a woman…
On the sofa in VIP room number 6, Sophia had already regained consciousness, and her mind was clear. Karen half-hugged Sophia and noticed that she had woken up. She exclaimed with joy, “Sophia, you’re awake! How do you feel now?”
Sophia squinted her eyes, focused her gaze, and saw Karen and Leo by her side. She was a bit confused. “What… What happened to me just now? What happened? Where are Dina and Franklin?”
Karen wore a remorseful expression. “Sophia, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have believed Dina’s nonsense and brought you here.”
Sophia had already remembered what Dina had done to her drink earlier. She looked at Karen, who appeared guilty, and comforted her, “Karen, it’s not your fault. Jealousy clouded Dina’s judgment, turning her into a lunatic.”
“Mr. Bloomer!” Gerald’s voice sounded from behind Leo.
