“Sophia, I must say, I envy you. I hereby grant you the title of the world’s happiest woman,” Karen joked with envy.
“Karen, you’ll find your prince charming too.”
“Sigh, my prince charming is probably lost somewhere. It’s been so long, and he hasn’t appeared before me.”
Karen couldn’t help but think of the piano man, Leo, who had captivated her. However, Leo was now her best friend’s husband, and she had to bury her feelings deep within her heart.
She was well aware that no matter how hard she tried, she could never make Leo like her because in Leo’s heart, there was only room for Sophia.
Karen felt envy, jealousy, and regret, but she didn’t feel hatred. She regretted not meeting Leo before Sophia. Men like Leo were a rarity in life.
She used to think that Sophia’s happiness would be ruined by Leo, but looking back, it was quite ridiculous.
“Karen, believe in love. When the time is right, it will come to you,” Sophia comforted Karen, who seemed a bit down.
Karen was not usually sentimental. She smiled and changed the topic. “Sophia, I have a question for you, and you must answer honestly.”
“What’s the question? Go ahead.”
“Have you… cough… have you ever thought about, you know, being intimate?” Karen mischievously asked.
Sophia suddenly blushed and scolded, “Karen, what nonsense are you talking about?”
“I’m not joking. After this incident, aren’t you planning to, you know, be with Leo? You’ve been dragging it on, and it might test a man’s patience.”
“What’s the use of planning? That blockhead doesn’t seem to get it…” Sophia blurted out, then immediately realized she had fallen into Karen’s trap and didn’t finish her sentence.
“Not get it? Are you serious? You’ve been married for four years, isn’t his performance in that department up to the mark?” Karen seemed skeptical.
Sophia blushed even more and stammered, “I, I don’t know about that. Can we please not discuss this?”
“We can’t avoid it. It’s your lifelong matter. What if Leo can’t perform? You might end up a widow. No, you have to test him!” Karen slyly suggested.
“How do I test him?”
“Come on, you’re a woman. Just seduce him!” Karen grinned mischievously.
Sophia rolled her eyes, “Karen, you’re such a troublemaker. I won’t talk to you about this anymore. Leo should be done with his shower.”
“Shower… hehe, that’s a good sign. You must try it…”
Karen’s words were cut off as Sophia hung up, leaving her blushing and flustered.
Leo had wrapped a towel around himself and walked out of the bathroom. He noticed something odd in Sophia’s demeanor.
“Why is your face so red? Are you feeling unwell?” Leo asked with concern.
“You’re the one who’s unwell. I’m going to take a shower!” Sophia got up from the bed, her heart racing, and rushed into the bathroom.
Leo scratched the back of his head, sensing that something was off with Sophia.
As Sophia relaxed in the bathtub, her mind couldn’t help but return to Karen’s words.
Test Leo’s performance? She hadn’t thought about it before. They had been married for four years, and although she had been curious about why Leo never made a move on her, she had forgotten about it.
But now things were different. Leo had entered her heart, and they were sharing the same bed. Could it be that tonight, they would finally become true husband and wife?
Could it be that she would have to take the initiative with this “blockhead”?
Sophia felt her heart pounding.
Leo was already lying on the bed, casually browsing his phone, waiting for the beautiful woman to finish her bath.
Half an hour later, Sophia emerged from the bathroom, wearing a loose silk nightgown. The nightgown was semi-transparent, and Leo could vaguely see her alluring figure beneath it.
“Sophia, you look so beautiful!” Leo sincerely exclaimed.
“When did you start sweet-talking?” Sophia teased.
“Sophia, I…”
“What do you want to say?” Sophia, feeling a little nervous, sat down on the other side of the bed.
“I want to taste the flavor of your lipstick.”
Sophia chuckled and took out her lipstick from her bag, handing it to him. “Go ahead, taste it.”
“Not this lipstick, but the one on your lips,” Leo said, his heart racing.
Leo thought Sophia might refuse, but instead, she withdrew the lipstick and looked at him with affection. “Silly, I just took a shower, so there’s no lipstick on my lips. There’s only the scent of shower gel.”
“I heard that the scent of shower gel is also delightful. Can I try it?” Leo hesitated for a moment, then moved closer to Sophia.
As Sophia gazed into Leo’s fiery eyes and felt the irresistible warmth of the moment, she was both nervous and filled with anticipation. She hadn’t agreed, nor had she refused.
A rosy blush had spread from her cheeks to her neck. Could it be that this seemingly reserved man had suddenly found his way tonight? Was tonight the night they would truly become husband and wife? She hadn’t even had the chance to seduce Leo yet…
As Leo approached, Sophia felt her heart racing, and her body tensed involuntarily. She didn’t resist when Leo’s hand gently touched her face and brushed away a strand of hair from her forehead.
“Sophia, have you smelled a certain fragrance?” Leo asked.
“What fragrance?” Sophia looked a little bewildered, stealing a quick glance at the close proximity of Leo.
“Sweetness.” Leo’s face was filled with tenderness. “I’ve noticed that wherever you are, the air is filled with sweetness.”
Sophia chuckled and playfully punched Leo’s chest. “You’re so annoying, all you know how to do is tease me.”
He gently pulled Sophia into his arms.
Sophia’s body initially stiffened, but then she relaxed and nestled into Leo’s embrace.
“Sophia, where should I start tasting?” Leo inhaled Sophia’s post-shower scent and couldn’t help but get lost in it.
“Bad boy!” Sophia giggled and pushed Leo away. Then she turned off the bedroom lights. “It’s getting late. Let’s go to sleep.”
Leo hesitated for a moment, feeling a slight disappointment. It seemed Sophia wasn’t entirely ready yet.
Well, he couldn’t rush it. He would give her more time. Love should not be hurried. Each step had to be well-founded. After all, a shaky foundation could lead to an earthquake.
