Leo proceeded to take out eight silver needles and inserted them into eight different acupoints near Jayce’s ears and neck. As all nine silver needles were inserted, three minutes later, Jayce closed his eyes, and a faint snore emanated from his nose.
The snoring grew louder, indicating that Jayce had fallen into a deep sleep.
“Jayce… He’s asleep!” one of the doctors whispered in amazement, their faces filled with joy.
Miss Macadam also looked stunned, and when she glanced at Leo, there was a hint of guilt in her eyes.
Rosemary wore an astonished expression. She couldn’t believe that Leo had managed to put Jayce to sleep. Even her grandfather had been powerless to treat him.
Dr. Mond instructed the doctors to perform various physical examinations on Jayce. The results showed that Jayce’s vital signs were completely stable, confirming that he was indeed asleep.
“Dr. Bloomer, thank you,” Dr. Mond said with admiration and gratitude.
“Dr. Bloomer, thank you,” Miss Macadam also expressed her gratitude to Leo.
Rosemary, however, just looked at Leo with a strange expression and remained silent. Her thoughts were a mystery.
After writing a prescription for Miss Macadam, Leo left the hospital.
Dr. Mond accompanied him to the hospital’s entrance.
Initially, Dr. Mond had considered inviting Leo to join their hospital, but upon learning that Leo owned a Chinese medicine clinic, she abandoned that idea.

Jessica was playing poker cards with three women her age. Since retiring from her job, Jessica’s biggest hobby had become playing poker cards. She spent most of her day with these friends in the mahjong parlor.
One of her friends gave a signal to the others while they were in the middle of the game.
One of them asked, “Jessica, what made you want to play poker cards with us today?”
“What do you mean?” Jessica continued to organize her cards, glancing at the woman who had spoken, “I lost so much money yesterday; don’t I have the right to win it back?”
“Jessica, do you really not know what’s going on with your son-in-law?” another woman asked strangely.
“What’s wrong with my son-in-law?” Jessica’s eyes widened. She had the sharp instincts and shrewdness of a city woman and immediately sensed that something was amiss.
“Do you really not know?”
“What’s going on with my son-in-law? Tell me!” Jessica was growing impatient.
“Your son-in-law, that good-for-nothing, went to Dreamland,” one of the women revealed.
“…” Jessica’s mouth hung open for a moment before she finally stammered, “That’s impossible!”
“Jessica, we’ve been friends for so many years; we wouldn’t lie to you. Last night, I saw your son-in-law with my own eyes going to Dreamland with two other men!” The woman sounded absolutely certain.
Jessica’s gaze became vacant. If Leo had really gone to a place like that and someone had seen him, it would be a direct blow to her pride!
“May, you must have seen it wrong.” Jessica refused to admit it, especially when it concerned her reputation.
May shook her head decisively and then took out her phone, opening a picture. “There’s no mistake. I even took a photo.”
The other two women quickly stood up to get a look.
“That silhouette… it’s definitely Leo!”
“A freeloader who married into your family, and he dares to go to Dreamland? Unbelievable!”
“Jessica, your son-in-law is utterly shameless. You really should discipline him.”
“Why bother disciplining him? What’s Dreamland anyway? If he has the audacity to go there, I bet it’s not his first time. This kind of freeloader, we should kick him out as soon as possible.”
“That’s right, Jessica. I’ve watched Sophia grow up. We can’t let her happiness be destroyed by this useless man.”
The words of the three women were like needles, piercing deep into Jessica’s sensitive heart.
A buzzing sound filled Jessica’s ears, and by the end, she couldn’t hear what the three women were saying anymore. In her mind, there was only one thought: Leo had gone to Dreamland.
If the car accident incident had pushed Jessica’s boundaries, this Dreamland incident had shattered them completely.
A freeloading son-in-law, daring to go to a place like Dreamland-this was absolutely intolerable!

But the tone of the voice on the other end of the line was off, “Sophia, did you have a fight with Leo?”
“A fight? No, we didn’t,” Sophia replied, surprised. “Why do you ask?”
“Do you not know where Leo went last night?” Karen’s tone was filled with shock.
“He went out last night, but I didn’t ask where he was going. Why?”
“Seems like you really don’t know,” Karen hesitated before saying, “Sophia, Leo went to Dreamland last night.”
Sophia was bewildered. She knew exactly what Dreamland was.
On the other end of the phone, Karen sensed Sophia’s confusion and added, “Sophia, please don’t get upset. Leo probably wouldn’t do anything to hurt you.”
“How do you know?” Sophia’s voice turned cold.
“I have a distant relative who lives in your block. She often plays poker cards with your mother. She told me she saw Leo enter Dreamland with her own eyes and even took a photo.”
“Thud!”
Sophia’s phone slipped from her hand and fell to the floor.
A pained expression froze on Sophia’s face, and tears welled up in her eyes.
How could Leo go to Dreamland?
Sophia kept asking herself this question in her mind. She didn’t believe it, but with eyewitnesses and photos, she had no choice but to consider it.
“Sophia, what’s wrong with you? Men aren’t worth it. If Leo really went to Dreamland, you must divorce him. Once a man cheats, he’ll do it again!” Karen advised.
