The lead man involuntarily swallowed hard. “So many pretty girls.”
Leo and the group approached. Sarah, who was being held by a man, joyfully called out, “Leo!”
Boris hesitated but bravely stepped forward. “I threw the bottle. Let go of my friend!”
“Oh, trying to be a hero,” the lead man smirked. “You little bastard, while I’m still not angry, kneel down and apologize. Otherwise, I’ll mess you up.”
The lead man took steps toward Boris.
At this point, Boris had to fight back with all he had.
“Leo, get everyone out of here, call the police. I’ll hold this guy off!” Henry and Richard also stepped forward. “Leo, take Jennifer and the others and go. We’ll save Sarah.”
It seems I have made the right choice. Leo thought to himself, then stepped forward, grabbing a bottle from Henry’s hand.
Standing before Boris, Leo said icily to the lead man, “Kneel down and apologize to me. I might consider not smashing your head with this bottle.”
“Damn it!” The lead man roared furiously and lunged at Leo.
“Bang!”
A clear thud echoed.
The bottle shattered against the lead man’s head.
The lead man fell to the ground, glass shards embedded in his head. Blood stained his eyes.
After a brief dizziness, the lead man struggled to his feet and drew a knife from his pocket. He thrust it towards Leo’s abdomen.
Leo lifted his foot and kicked.
Faster than the knife, Leo’s foot struck the lead man’s abdomen. Another dull thud followed, and the man flew backward, crashing into the ground. Glass shards pierced his body.
The lead man’s rage surged. His face smeared with blood, he bellowed, “Attack together, let’s beat this bastard to death!”
The four men pulled out their knives and closed in on Leo.
Terrified girls in the background burst into tears. Jennifer frantically took out her cellphone and prepared to dial 911.
Boris and the others rushed forward to support Leo but were stopped by his hand. “Stay back, and don’t call the police.”
Jennifer, who was about to call 911, froze.
“Get your asses moving! If anything happens, I’ll take the blame!” The lead man wiped blood off his face and howled fiercely.
The four men exchanged glances, then charged at Leo, knives at the ready.
Leo’s hands moved swiftly.
The four men’s legs buckled almost simultaneously, and they knelt on the ground.
This sight left Boris and the others stunned, as well as the lead man.
What was this collective kneeling about?
Leo stepped forward, and the knives from the four men ended up in his hands.
In the next moment, “slap, slap, slap, slap.”
Leo slapped each man across the face.
All four of them fell to the ground, cheeks swollen, blood oozing from their mouths. It seemed like a few teeth had been knocked loose.
With simple moves, Leo took down four burly men. It was truly an impressive display of skill.
Boris and the others watched in disbelief, as did the lead man.
In their minds, they all thought: Leo, who seems so easygoing and generous, is actually a total badass in a fight!
Just as Leo was about to teach the lead man a lesson, a few people rushed up to the third floor.
One of them looked at the young and attractive girls in the hallway and exclaimed, “Derrick, so many beauties!”
The three newcomers were none other than the men Leo had hit earlier-Derrick, Lester, and Rupert.
Derrick, who was somewhat tipsy, noticed something amiss and said, his words slurred, “Hey, lots of pretty ladies here! What’s going on?”
The three who had arrived were Derrick, Lester, and Rupert, the same people Leo had dealt with earlier.
Derrick, affected by alcohol, caught onto the situation’s oddness and said, “Ladies, what’s happening here? Why are you all standing around?”
The girls didn’t reply but pointed to the front.
Rupert craned his neck to follow their gesture. “Derrick, looks like a fight.”
Derrick laughed, walked up to a girl, and reassured her, “D-don’t worry. With me here, no one w-will dare to bully you.”
After calming the girl, Derrick walked forward. He wanted to see who was daring to fight in such a place.
When Derrick caught sight of Leo’s back, he sobered up a bit. Stuttering, he said, “M-m-Mr. Bloomer!?”
Leo turned around upon hearing this exclamation, only to see Derrick, the rich guy competitor who had tried to steal his turtle from earlier.
The lead man, still on the ground, saw Derrick and acted as if he’d seen a savior. He shouted, “Derrick, you’re just in time. This bastard attacked us. Get people here to deal with him!”
“Deal with him?” Looking at Leo, Derrick’s lips twitched. “Mr. Bloomer, don’t listen to him. I just happened to be passing by. I don’t know him at all.”
Seeing the men on the ground, holding their swollen faces and whimpering in pain, Derrick felt a sense of unease.
Who was he kidding? Someone with a Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Supreme Card, even his own father wouldn’t dare to provoke easily. Moreover, Leo’s combat abilities were off the charts.
Just then, Lester approached as well. Recognizing Leo, he hastened to explain,
“Mr. Bloomer, we really don’t know these guys.”
Furious, the lead man yelled, “Derrick, what the hell is this? On the day I gave money to your old man, you were still acting like my brother. Now you’re pretending not to know me!?”
“Bullshit! My dad never took money from you. You’re just slandering him!” Derrick’s face turned fierce as he shouted back.
Leo’s eyes were fixed on Derrick, who appeared flustered and fearful.
Seeing Leo’s dark expression fixed on him, Derrick naturally felt the need to clarify his stance immediately.
In the midst of the chaos, two police cars arrived at Piccolo. Manager Becky had secretly made the call.
The police officers, led by Dean Johnny, the chief, headed up to the third floor.
Why would the chief of the station personally involve himself in a small brawl like this?
The reason was simple: a high-class place like Piccolo encountering trouble indicated that the individuals involved were likely not ordinary. If handled well, it could be a stepping stone for him to climb higher in his career.
Dean Johnny was undoubtedly someone with aspirations and ambitions, not content with sitting in the same position as the chief forever.
Led by Manager Becky, the police officers ascended to the third floor.
Seeing the police arrive, the girls cleared a path.
Dean Johnny and the officers approached. When he saw Derrick, his eyes lit up. He smiled and said, “Derrick, what brings you here?”
