Chapter 129: Let’s Fight

Arlene’s face lit up with excitement as she was about to wake up her Grandpa.
“Miss Dan, maybe it’s best to let your grandfather rest a little longer and wake up naturally. Fetch me some paper and a pen, and I’ll write you a prescription. Although the source of the poison has been eliminated, your grandfather’s body has been ravaged by the curse parasite for too long. He’ll need to take traditional Chinese medicine for a while to recuperate,” Leo interrupted Arlene.
Having witnessed Leo’s miraculous medical skills firsthand, Arlene had complete faith in him. She hurriedly went to find paper and a pen.
Leo wrote a prescription and handed it to Dr. Lee, saying, “Dr. Lee, I’ll leave it in your hands from here.”
Dr. Lee took the prescription, carefully examined it, and nodded in approval, “This is a great prescription!”
“Leo, thank you. I apologize sincerely for my attitude earlier,” Arlene was one to admit her mistakes and move on.
Dr. Lee put away the prescription and turned to Leo, asking, “Leo, the black parasite we saw earlier, could it be forced out using a silver needle?”
“The first time, yes, you can force it out and eliminate it.”
“The first time?” Dr. Lee was puzzled.
“On that night, my plan was to use a silver needle to force the parasite out and eliminate it. However, when I was about to administer the final needle, Miss Dan intervened, causing my efforts to fall short.”
Upon hearing this, Arlene looked embarrassed.
“After the first failure, the parasite became wary of the silver needle. So, if we were to use it again, not only would we fail to coax the parasite out of Mr. Dan’s body, but we might also enrage it, causing even greater harm to Mr. Dan’s body.”
“I see.” Dr. Lee nodded. “A healer must be adaptable and open to change according to the situation. Leo, your ability to adjust your methods accordingly is truly commendable.”
Raising her hand, Arlene asked, “I have one question. Why did you use my fresh blood to lure the parasite out?”
“It’s simple. The parasites have a strong affinity for the blood of a virgin.”
Leo’s response made Arlene blush deeply.
With the matter resolved, Dr. Lee left to fetch medicine for Godfrey and departed.
Since the problem was resolved, Leo didn’t want to overstay his welcome. Renee escorted him to the door.
“From Arlene,” Renee handed Leo a cashier’s check.
Leo glanced at it-it was a check for ten million dollars. He slipped it into his wallet.
“Leo, have you ever considered opening a clinic?” Renee suddenly suggested.
“Opening a clinic?” Leo hadn’t thought about that.
“Yes, with your exceptional medical skills, it would be a waste not to help others.”
Renee’s suggestion sparked an idea in Leo’s mind. Having his own clinic would provide a place for alchemy if he managed to acquire a cauldron in the future. It was indeed a promising idea.
“But right now, I don’t have a medical license, nor a business permit. How am I going to open a clinic?” Leo was well aware that starting a medical clinic wasn’t an easy task.
“That’s a minor issue. I can arrange for Azure Financial to co-invest with you in opening a clinic. You’ll each hold a fifty percent stake. Azure Financial will handle all the necessary licenses and paperwork. What do you think?”
Leo nodded, “Sounds good.”
“Great! I’ll have people start looking for a suitable location today. Just wait for my message.”
After bidding farewell to Renee, Leo left Millennium Park in his car. He decided to head to Clouddream Mountain to continue his cultivation at Heaven’s Extreme Stone.
Not long after he began his ascent up the mountain, Leo realized he was being followed again, this time by a white Toyota.
He parked the car in a relatively open area on the mountainside and got out of the car.
It seemed the martial cultivators were persistent. Leo was determined to teach them a lesson this time.
The Toyota also stopped not far ahead, and a woman got out of the car. She wore casual sky-blue clothing, short hair, and large sunglasses.
Just a couple of days ago, Leo had dealt with a woman who tried to kill him. Now, another one had appeared. It seemed he had quite the appeal to women.
The woman approached Leo and removed her sunglasses.
Leo couldn’t help but acknowledge her beauty. It was a different kind of beauty compared to Sophia and Coral-more of a confident elegance.
The woman sized up Leo and asked, “Are you Leo Bloomer?”
“After following me for over ten kilometers, don’t you already know my name?” Leo replied.
“Did you intervene in the recent two bank robberies and take down armed robbers?” the woman inquired further.
Leo raised an eyebrow, “Are you a cop?”
Not sensing any martial energy from this woman and considering her direct question about the bank robberies, it was clear she was a police officer.
“You’re pretty smart,” Madame Godwin locked eyes with Leo.
Leo spread his hands, “I haven’t done anything wrong. You’re not here to arrest me, are you?”
“What if I am here to arrest you?”
“You used ‘what if,’ so it’s definitely not the case. Sorry, Officer, I have things to do. Goodbye.”
Leo intended to leave.
Madame Godwin stood in his way, “Unless you knock me down, you’re not going anywhere.”
“I don’t hit women,” Leo found her logic intriguing.
“But I enjoy hitting men.” Madame Godwin put away her sunglasses and threw a punch toward Leo’s face.
Leo sidestepped, easily dodging the punch. “Are you sure you want to fight me?”
“Enough talk!” Madame Godwin followed up with a spinning kick.
This time, Leo didn’t dodge. He grabbed Madame Godwin’s ankle with his right hand.
Madame Godwin, the reigning champion in police combat, twisted her body and launched a whirlwind kick at Leo’s head.
Leo released his grip on Madame Godwin’s ankle and quickly retreated. Madame Godwin’s leg sweep missed its target, but she didn’t stop her assault. With a forward motion of her body, she launched a powerful elbow strike toward Leo.
It must be acknowledged that Madame Godwin’s attacks were incredibly cunning and fierce, making her a true elite among martial artists. However, Leo, with his spiritual power, was on a completely different level compared to her. Her attacks appeared to Leo as if time had slowed down by half.
As a result, Leo easily blocked Madame Godwin’s elbow strike with a casual motion.
“You do have some skills,” Madame Godwin snorted.
Her series of moves were something that only a few in the police force could withstand.
After her comment, Madame Godwin launched another attack at Leo.
Over the course of several exchanges, Leo effortlessly defused Madame Godwin’s fierce assaults.
Seeing the relaxed expression on Leo’s face, Madame Godwin felt a silent mockery, which wounded her pride. Initially, she only intended to spar with Leo for a few moves, but now she was giving it her all, displaying her full combat prowess.
