“Done.” Leo’s heartbeat finally settled down because this girl had managed to put on a pair of safety shorts.
Whoever invented safety shorts was the arch-nemesis of all men!
Leo took the porcelain bowl and scooped a bit of the herbal paste, rubbing it between his hands before applying it to Renee’s wound.
While applying the paste, Leo infused a bit of spiritual power into it.
As Leo’s fingers touched Renee’s skin, the sensation was delicate and nuanced.
Thanks to the added spiritual power, Renee felt an extremely comfortable sensation spreading from her inner thigh, gradually permeating her entire body. It was as if every pore on her skin had become more open and receptive.
This pleasurable feeling made Renee let out a soft moan.
Leo’s hand, which was applying the medicine, paused momentarily. The warmth radiating from her thigh was stirring up something within him.
No, this couldn’t go on like this. He wouldn’t be able to control himself if it continued.
Leo hastily finished applying the paste and used a bandage to secure it around her leg.
Once he was done, Leo stood up, ready to leave.
Just as Leo was about to exit, a soft, velvety voice came from behind, from Renee.
“Dr. Bloomer, could you… touch a bit more?”
Thud!
Leo stumbled and fell to the ground.
After descending to the hall, though it was already 1 a. m., Leo wasn’t feeling the least bit sleepy. He had preparations to make for a sumptuous dish.
Just as Mr. Bill was preparing to retire for the night, Leo called out to him.
“Mr. Bill, where’s the kitchen around here?” Leo inquired.
“Allow me to show you.”
“Wait.”
Leo headed to the courtyard and hauled the massive snow dragon carcass to Mr. Bill. “Now you can show me.”
Having been in Mr. Browne’s service for many years, Mr. Bill was a worldly man, yet he still jumped back in alarm at the sight of that colossal snake head.
“Dr. Bloomer, where did you get this monster? And what are you planning to do with it?” Mr. Bill instinctively distanced himself from Leo.
“This thing isn’t a monster; it’s a treasure. I got it from the Heaven’s Extreme Stone you told me. Now, I need to use the kitchen. Please show me the way.”
“Alright.” Mr. Bill refrained from further questions and led Leo to the kitchen.
Leo and the snow dragon entered the kitchen. The culinary space in the Browne Mansion was vast, at least a hundred square meters, equipped with every imaginable kitchen tool.
Leo tossed the snow dragon onto the ground and surveyed the area. The cooking pots were all too small for his purpose.
“Mr. Bill, do you have those large clay pots?” Leo asked him.
Mr. Bill nodded. “We do. What size are you looking for?”
Leo extended his arms, gesturing in a wide embrace. “This big.”
“We have them in the storage.”
“Could you please clean one and bring it to the kitchen? Also, bring me the wild ginseng I have.”
“Sure, wait a moment.”
Mr. Bill promptly left the kitchen. This young man was a valued guest of the master, and any request from him should be accommodated.
Leo picked up a cleaver from the knife rack and approached the polar ice dragon, crouching down in front of it.
He was preparing a hearty dish – Stewed Snow Dragon with Wild Ginseng!
After eating this snow dragon, Leo estimated that his strength would see a substantial boost.
With this thought, Leo’s heart danced with anticipation.
Soon enough, Mr. Bill returned with two servants, carrying a pot that was about half a person’s height.
“Dr. Bloomer, here is the pot you asked for,” Mr. Bill said to Leo, who was crouched by the snow dragon.
Leo stood up. “Place it down.”
The two servants set the large pot on the floor. Upon catching sight of the gigantic quadrupedal snake, their eyes widened in astonishment.
Originally, when Mr. Bill had summoned them, they had all been groggy with sleep. However, the sudden shock had completely dispelled their drowsiness.
Mr. Bill handed a box containing wild ginseng roots to Leo. “Thank you, Mr. Bill. Next, I won’t trouble you anymore. Please go rest,” Leo said as he placed the wild ginseng on a nearby table.
As Mr. Bill and his two assistants left, they caught a glimpse of Leo chopping something hard, creating a disconcerting sound. It was enough to make them turn pale and hasten their exit.
Inside the kitchen, Leo managed two chops before setting the knife aside.
The scales of the snow dragon were incredibly tough; although the knives in the kitchen were top-notch, they still struggled to cut through the meat.
With no other option, Leo retrieved his Purple Radiance dagger, which was imbued with spiritual power. Now slicing through the skin and flesh of the Arctic Snow Dragon was as effortless as cutting through tofu, incredibly smooth and easy.
Once the flesh was separated, Leo discarded the tail, head, limbs, and internal organs. Within half an hour, the snow dragon had been disassembled into various cuts of meat, which were then placed in the large pot and a stewing pot.
The reason for splitting it into two pots was that such a large Arctic Snow Dragon could not be finished by him alone, so it could be prepared for everyone to share.
The potent medicinal properties of the wild ginseng were too intense for most people to endure, so only a portion of its roots and Arctic Snow Dragon meat needed to be stewed together in the large pot.
As for the separate stewing pot, it was meant for the whole piece of wild ginseng, which Leo would consume on his own.
The kitchen was well-stocked with spices, and Leo finished packing the meat into the pots. He added clean water, aromatic spices, and a pinch of salt to each pot, then placed them on the stove to simmer.
Since snow dragons were the lowest-ranking spiritual beasts, even with vigorous boiling, the meat wouldn’t be tender for at least three hours. Leo needed to stew it for a continuous nine hours before it became edible.
Considering it was now around 2:00 AM, the meal wouldn’t be ready until nearly 11:00 AM the next day.
The following morning at 8:00 AM, Renee pushed open the door to her bedroom, greeted by a particularly enticing aroma that immediately roused her appetite.
The medicine Leo had applied was miraculous; she could move freely now and felt no pain whatsoever. However, she had yet to remove the bandage from her leg.
“It smells so good, and I’m so hungry. Did we change chefs today? How could they prepare something so delicious?” Curious, Renee followed her nose to the kitchen.
Inside the kitchen, a large pot and a stewing pot were simmering on the stove, releasing the tantalizing aroma she’d detected.
Leo stood nearby, occasionally checking the progress of the cooking.
“Leo, who’s cooking in the kitchen?” Renee asked, her curiosity piqued.
“There’s no one else in this kitchen but me. So, who do you think is cooking?” Leo replied. He had turned away a chef who came to make breakfast this morning, informing them that they wouldn’t be eating until later when they could all enjoy the meal together.
