Archie did not return to Old Master Grafton’s nursing home. Instead, he found a doctor to stitch up the wound. Then he went downstairs and leaned against the car.
He called James.
“Young master, is your injury serious? I’ll go over now!” James had already received the news and was extremely anxious.
“Alright, come here. Help me investigate who those drivers are.” Archie said tiredly.
“How is Miss Emma? I heard she is seriously injured.” James asked worriedly.
Archie still answered in a deep voice, “She is out of danger, but the back of her head was hit and she lost her memory.”
“So serious? She doesn’t even remember you?” James was very shocked and deeply grieved.
Young Master and Miss Emma had finally come to this stage with great difficulty. It seemed like they were about to have a positive result, but this kind of accident suddenly happened.
“She doesn’t remember.” Archie’s tone was also very sorrowful.
“Young master, I will hang up first. I am at the airport. I will rush over immediately!” James was really worried that young master would be alone overseas.
“Okay!” After hanging up the phone, Archie leaned against the car. He was obviously very tired, but he could not sleep.
When he closed his eyes, it was the look of her being injured in the car accident. He regretted so much that he really wanted to slap himself twice.
The four bodyguards silently stood in four directions of the car, guarding the honorable man in the car.
Emma slept for a few hours and woke up. The needle in her hand had already been removed.
She saw Yoseph sleeping by her bed.
And Minlan, who was leaning on the sofa with a tired face.
Minlan did not sleep. Instead, she lowered her head and stared out the window, lost in thought.
Emma did not disturb her and also closed her eyes but did not continue sleeping. Instead, she was thinking about life.
Although she was like a blank piece of paper now, she was not willing to listen to anyone’s words.
Perhaps it was because she had lived in a complicated environment like the Quinsley Family since she was young, Emma would always be wary of strangers.
She looked at the lady on the sofa and carefully looked at her face. She found that she was quite similar to her.
This was too unexpected. She was not the granddaughter of Quinsley Family, but had been stolen back by her mother.
She wanted to sort out some of her thoughts, but her head was very heavy right now. Plus, the amount of information she knew was too little, so she had no choice but to give up.
The next day, Emma continued to receive the intravenous drip and did all kinds of tests. When she was sent back to the ward again, she saw the man she saw the first time she woke up last night.
She knew his name, Archie.
Yoseph said that he was his ex-husband. This form of address was actually very ambiguous.
Archie had already changed into a new set of clothes. Seeing Emma being pushed in, he stood up from the sofa.
His deep eyes had been staring at her.
Emma was also looking at him. Inexplicably, she felt that his face was both familiar and unfamiliar.
Perhaps he was really deeply entangled with her. The sadness in his eyes actually made her heart inexplicably tighten.
Minlan and Yoseph were the ones who accompanied her for the examination this time.
The role that Yoseph played at this moment was exactly the same as Emma’s family. Instead, it made Archie become an outsider.
“Emma, the doctor said you can have some light food. I will go out and buy some porridge for you to eat.” Minlan said in a low voice.
Emma nodded.
After Minlan left, Yoseph sat beside her bed and guarded her.
Emma opened her mouth and said, “Yoseph, can I trouble you to go out for a while? I have something to say to him.”
As Emma spoke, her eyes turned to Archie.
Yoseph nodded, thinking that it must be his words that had taken effect.
Was Emma going to settle the score with Archie?
Archie frowned slightly. Emma looked at him as if there was a trace of anger in her eyes.
Yoseph had a trace of pride in his heart. He pushed open the door of the ward and walked out.
Archie walked to her side with heavy steps. When he opened his mouth, he found that his voice had become hoarse.
“Emma, do you have something to say to me?”
Emma looked at his tired and bloodshot eyes. Her mouth moved and then said dryly, “I am thirsty. Can you feed me some water?”
Archie was slightly stunned. Then, his tired brows relaxed a little.
He turned around and poured a cup of warm water and a spoon.
Obviously, he, the Great young master, had never served anyone before. When he brought the water to Emma’s mouth, Emma opened her mouth and drank it, but in the next second, she let out a low cry. “Hot!”
Archie’s expression froze, and he immediately moved the spoon away. He anxiously and painfully asked, “Is it hot or painful? Let me take a look!”
Emma looked at him with grievance and nodded.
“I will help you blow it!” Archie said and lowered his head to blow the warm water in the cup.
Emma blinked her big black eyes and looked at the somewhat clumsy man in front of her.
Putting aside his devilish appearance, his attitude and tone really suited Emma’s taste.
After Archie blew it, he tested the temperature of the water before feeding it to her again. “It’s not hot anymore. I’ve tried it.”
Emma saw his careful look and suddenly burst into laughter.
Archie was confused by her laugh.
“I was testing you on purpose just now. Actually, the water is not hot.” Emma’s eyes were full of cunningness.
Archie, “. . .”
She had lost her memory. Why did her temper change so much?
He even dared to test him?
Emma saw his stiff and dazed expression and immediately panicked a little. She softly asked, “Are you angry?”
Archie smiled and shook his head. “No, I am not angry.”
“Then why aren’t you saying anything?” Emma pouted her small mouth.
“I want to say it, but I don’t know what to say to you.” Archie looked at her mischievous expression. She was still in the mood to joke with him even though she was injured. This meant that she had recovered well and he should be happy.
Emma’s expression became a little more serious as she said, “Tell me how we got married. And how did we get divorced? Why did you divorce me?”
Archie was shocked. How did she know about this?
Could it be that Yoseph had already mentioned these things last night?
Emma saw his stunned face again and frowned. She was a little dissatisfied. “What? Do you not want to say it?”
“No, I just feel that there is no need to say it. You have lost your memory now, but you don’t have to listen to anyone easily. When you are better, you can go and find out the truth yourself. At that time, you can judge whether it is true or false based on your own feelings.” Archie said in a low voice, his eyes gloomy.
Emma was slightly shocked. She thought that Archie would definitely help her find out the truth.
Because scumbags are very good at finding lines to absolve themselves from the crime.
But Archie did not. He only asked her to find the real picture herself.
She liked this answer very much.
